GENT, Apr 30 (SW) - The championship race in Belgium will be decided on the final weekend of the season after both Anderlecht and Standard Liège played to draws away from home in a full slate of games on Sunday.
Gent - Anderlecht 0-0
Gent, vying with Club Brugge for a spot in the UEFA Cup, did well to hold the league leaders, but remain three points adrift with an inferior goal difference.
Anderlecht still hold a two-point lead at the top of the table and will host Zulte-Waregem next Friday.
Roeselare - Standard 0-0
With Anderlecht's slip, Standard could have gone level on points away to lowly Roeselare, but they failed to do so and now will need serious help to claim the Belgian title.
Standard, playing without suspended captain Sergio Conceição, will play host to Gent on Friday as they have to win to have any chance of claiming the title. They would also need an Anderlecht.
Germinal - Club Brugge 1-1
Club Brugge could have secured third place on Sunday but instead had to come from a goal behind to earn a draw with Germinal.
Jurgen Cavens' goal on 63 minutes appeared as if it would be the winner, but Manaseh Ishiaku struck near the end of the match to snatch a point back for the visitors, who host Racing Genk on Friday.
Racing Genk - Beveren 2-0
Genk left it late on Sunday as they scored two goals deep into the second half in a victory over third-from-bottom side Beveren.
Kevin Vandenbergh fired the home side in front after 75 minutes scoreless minutes, and Koen Daerden secured full points three minutes from time.
Zulte-Waregem - Westerlo 1-2
Belgian Cup finalists Zulte-Waregem will need a far better performance on Friday if they are to shake up the title race after they were beaten at home by Westerlo.
The home side took an eighth-minute lead through Tim Matthys, but Jef Delen equalized for Westerlo a minute later. They then found a winner with 10 minutes remaining as Wim Mennes found the back of the net.
Cercle Brugge - Lokeren 2-0
Cercle Brugge, now officially safe from relegation, celebrated with a victory at home over Lokeren.
Darko Pivaljevic put Cercle in front after 54 minutes for the winning goal, but Brian Pinas added an insurance goal at the death.
La Louvière - Charleroi 2-2
La Louvière still sit at the bottom of the table with a three-point gap to make up after blowing a two-goal lead at home to Charleroi.
Ace Stojkov had the home side two goals up after he struck in the 14th and 26th minutes, but Abdelmajid Oulmers' goal in the 61st minute and Bonfim Dante's strike 10 minutes from time earned a draw for Charleroi.
FC Brussels - Lierse 2-1
Lierse still sit in the relegation playoff place after falling away to FC Brussels.
Brussels took the lead through Christ Bruno five minutes before the interval and made it 2-0 in the 55th minute when Musaba Selemani scored. It proved to be a big second goal when Mohammed el-Berkani pulled one back for Lierse with seven minutes left.
Excelsior Mouscron - Sint-Truiden 3-0
The other Belgian Cup finalist fared far better on Sunday as Mouscron recorded the biggest win of the day in a rout of Sint-Truiden, who secured safety despite the loss.
Tailson opened the scoring after 67 minutes, opening up the floodgates as Karim Fellahi and Patrice Noukeu added further goals before the full-time whistle.
