BRUSSELS, Apr 24 (SW) - Belgian clubs La Louviere and Excelsior Mouscron have been relegated to the third division as result of financial irregularities.
The two teams, who happen to be involved in a match fixing scandal as well, start the next season with a three-point deduction.
Another two Eerste Klasse sides, Lierse and Beveren, have until May 8th to show a 1 million Euros guarantee in order to maintain their spot in the Belgian top flight.
A spokesman, speaking on behalf of the Belgian Football Association, said that "this has no connection with the current investigation into alleged match fixing".
