France: Lyon beat PSG, Rennes lose to Nice

PARIS, Apr 16 (SW) - Fresh champions Olympique de Lyon defeated Paris SG at Parc de Princes on Sunday while Nice achieved a 2-1 win over Rennes.

Paris Saint-Germain - Olympique de Lyon 0-1

Lyon were already certain of their fifth consecutive title when Bordeaux lost to Lille on Saturday, and celebrated their championship with a 0-1 win at Paris Saint-Germain. The only goal of the match came from Fred in the 24th minute.

Nice - Rennes 2-1

Rennes lost their third place to Lille and may miss out on Champions League football. David Bellion put Nice in the lead after four minutes, but John Utaka equalized just before the break.

However, Nice would eventually take three points as Jacques Abardonado netted the winning goal in added time.
