Larsson certain to leave Barcelona for Sweden

6 April 2006 11:17

BARCELONA, Apr 6 (SW) - Barcelona striker Henrik Larsson has reaffirmed his desire to leave the Spanish champions in the summer and join Swedish club Helsingborg.

"My nine-year old son feels more Scottish than anything else at the moment so we have to go back to Sweden," joked the former Celtic star.

Nonetheless, Larsson remains committed to securing the Spanish title and the European Cup in his final months in Barcelona, though the UEFA Champions League semifinal tie with a dogged AC Milan will be a challenge.

"We have a difficult tie against Milan but we have great belief in ourselves," said the Swede.

"They are a great team in defence even though they have players like (Paolo) Maldini and Alessandro Costacurta who are in their late-30s.

"It is not easy to play at that age so you have to give them a lot of credit.

"We will have to see how it goes, I am not looking further ahead than that to Paris (where the final will be played) as I am superstitious as well and we first have to play a difficult match."
