LIÈGE, Apr 2 (SW) - Standard Liège cut the gap at the top of the Jupiler League to a single point after Anderlecht dropped points in their match on Friday.
Lokeren - Anderlecht 1-1
Lokeren took a shock lead over the Belgian league leaders in the 13th minute when Hakim Bouchouari fired home, much to the shock of the home supporters.
However, Turkish international Serhat Akin pulled Anderlecht back level five minutes before half-time to ensure that they would get a point out of the match.
Standard Liège - Excelsior Mouscron 2-1
It took Standard only ten minutes to grab the lead as Christian Negouai fired into the net, and the lead was extended to 2-0 as Mohammed Tchite scored to keep momentum in favor of Standard. A late consolation by Isaias Magalhães da Silva was not enough for Mouscron.
Gent - Club Brugge 4-1
While Standard keep pace with Anderlecht, the same cannot be said for Club Brugge as they fell eight points back of the leaders after being drubbed by Gent and a hat trick by Moubarak Boussoufa.
Boussoufa gave Gent a 19th-minute lead, and 1-0 was the score at half-time before Davy de Beule extended the advantage six minutes after the restart.
Boussoufa got his second goal in the 70th minute to make it 3-0 before Javier Portillo pulled a goal back for the hapless visitors. Boussoufa, though, extended the advantage to three goals again with his third of the match six minutes from time.
Zulte-Waregem - Beveren 2-2
The home side fell two goals behind after Mohammed Diallo and Olivier Fontenette scored in the second half, but a goal in the 74th minute by Ibrahim Salou and an equalizer six minutes from time by Thibaut Detal rescued a point for the home side.
Racing Genk - FC Brussels 1-0
Racing Genk are still in European contention after a narrow home victory over FC Brussels kept them in sixth place.
The only goal of the game came in the 52nd minute when Nenad Stojanovic fired home.
Cercle Brugge - Lierse 3-0
Stijn de Smet gave Cercle a momentum-shifting lead in the 44th minute just before the break and Darko Pivaljevic extended the advantage to 2-0 just seven minutes after the restart.
A goal by striker Muhamadu Ibad in second-half injury time capped off a fine performance from the home side.
Germinal - Roeselare 2-2
Roeselare stunned the home supporters by snatching the lead just two minutes in through Sébastien Dufoor, but Mohammed Messoudi pulled Germinal level in the 43rd minute to make the half-time score 1-1.
Daan Vaesen again gave the visitors the lead in the 71st minute, but Germinal were able to find another equalizer, this time through Tosin Dusunmu with 10 minutes to play.
La Louvière - Sint-Truiden 0-2
Bottom side La Louvière are slowly losing their battle against relegation, and Saturday's home loss to Sint-Truiden did not help their cause.
Tamas Hajnal gave Sint-Truiden the lead four minutes into the second half, and Ilija Stolica doubled the advantage with an insurance goal in the 80th minute.
Westerlo - Charleroi 1-1
In the final match of the weekend on Sunday, Westerlo got a last-gasp equalizer to earn a home draw with Charleroi.
Izzet Akgul's goal in the 54th minute looked to be the winner for relegation-threatened Charleroi, but a late goal rom Jefrey Ntuka snatched a point for Westerlo.
