Scotland: Celtic and Rangers drop points, Hearts win

GLASGOW, Apr 16 (SW) - Celtic started their Championship Group campaign with a 1-1 draw against Hibernian, while Hearts achieved a 2-0 win over Kilmarnock.

Championship Group

Celtic - Hibernian 1-1 (Sunday)

Hibernian, placed fourth in the Premier League, surprised Celtic with a 35th-minute opening goal from Steven Fletcher, but Maciej Zurawski at least saved a point for the Bhoys in the 76th minute.

Hearts - Kilmarnock 2-0

Hearts defeated Kilmarnock 2-0 with Paul Hartley breaking the deadlock after seventy minutes. Christophe Berra added a second goal in the 87th.

Rangers - Aberdeen 1-1

Rangers had Kris Boyd opening the score after 51st minute, but Aberdeen did not give up at Ibrox stadium and levelled through Scott Severin in the 68th.

Relegation Group

Motherwell - Inverness 0-1

Inverness took three points at Motherwell, where Craig Dargo scored the only goal of the match in the 27th minute.

Livingston - Dundee United 3-1

Sam Morrow put last-placed Livingston ahead in the 8th minute, but David Robertson equalized in the 19th.

However, Harald Pinxten restored the hosts' lead four minutes into the second half, and Richard Brittain added a third from the penalty spot in stoppage time.

Falkirk - Dunfermline 0-0

No goals were scored at Falkirk versus Dunfermline. Falkirk are currently fourth in the relegation group, while Dunfermline follow in fifth.
