Bayern lose Lizarazu for three weeks

MUNICH, Sept 28 (SW) – Champions League contenders Bayern Munich will have to do without the services of Bixente Lizarazu for a duration of three weeks, after the Frenchman picked up a calf injury.
The 35-year-old was helped off the pitch at the start of his side’s second half against Brugge last night, with what appeared to be a calf injury, and today’s extended medical examination confirmed the Frenchman’s availability for a period of three weeks.
Lizarazu will be missing Bayern’s domestic game against Wolfsburg this weekend, but should return to action for his side’s trip to league rivals Schalke 04.
