MILAN, Oct 29 (SW) - In the Italian classic of the giants, AC Milan defeated Juventus 3-1 to close in on the leaders. Internazionale meanwhile, were held to a draw at Sampdoria.

Fourteen minutes had been played when Clarence Seedorf's distance shot from the left side of the pitch found its way into the goal, with the goalkeeper beaten.
The Brazilian playmaker Kaká doubled the score in the 27th minute, and a mistake from Juventus' goalkeeper allowed Andrea Pirlo to score Milan's third.
David Trezeguet got one back for 'Juve' in the 76th minute but the Rossoneri managed to hold on to their lead. The gap between the two sides went down to just two points.
Sampdoria - Internazionale 2-2
Sampdoria took the lead in two occasions, with goals from Aimo Stefano Diana, but Inter levelled twice, through Esteban Cambiasso and Ivan Córdoba. The Nerazzurri are still in third position but risk moving down to the fourth as Fiorentina play on Sunday.
