Racing Santander land Dalmat
SANTANDER, July 14 (SW) – Spanish outfit Racing Santander have beaten off competition from Lille and Udinese to land the services of Inter Milans’ French midfielder Stephane Dalmat.
The 26-year-old player, who had spent last season on loan from Inter in Toulouse, had been linked with French title contenders Lille and Seria A outfit Udinese, but as no deal was yet to be finalized, the Frenchman was set to make his way back to Milan to join his Internazionale side back at training.
But it was confirmed today Dalmat will not make a return to San Siro after all, Spanish outfit Racing Santander having confirmed they had landed the player’s services on a 5-year deal.
"Dalmat is our Galactico and I am convinced he will have a big impact on this club, we have closed a great deal," Racing president Manuel Huertas told Italian newspaper ‘Gazzetta dello Sport’.
