ISTANBUL/SEVILLE, Dec 1 (SW) - Zenit St. Petersburg and Sevilla both qualified for the final 32 of the UEFA Cup with their results in Group H on Thursday while Besiktas are hanging on to their qualification hopes by a thread.

Besiktas - Zenit St. Petersburg 1-1

The Turks looked to get off to the better start on 25 minutes when Ibrahim Akin directed in a pass from Ali Tandogan to bolster the home side's hopes, but the Russians leveled five minutes later through Olexander Gorshkov when he hit home from a Vladislav Radimov cross.

Besiktas need to defeat Vitória Guimarães on Matchday 5 and have Sevilla defeat Bolton Wanderers in order to move onto the next round. Bolton need only a draw to advance.

Sevilla - Vitória Guimarães 3-1

Javiér Saviola was the star for Sevilla on Thursday as he opened the scoring on 10 minutes after turning in Adriano Correia's ball and then doubling the advantage in the 27th minute with a 20-yard effort.

Adriano made it 3-0 to Sevilla with six minutes to play in the first half before Salim Benachour pulled one back for the visitors in the 44th minute.
