ROME, Aug 20 (SW) – AS Roma have completed the loan signing of Honduras international Edgar Alvarez from Uruguayan side Penarol.

The player has recent Serie A experience having played for Cagliari last term in which he scored 1 goal from 15 appearances and the Giallorossi also retain first option to purchase the player at the end of the season.

The signing of the 25-year-old has led to speculation that the capital club could now decide to cash in on Brazilian Mancini, who is a long-term target of Juventus.
