We're underway!
Good afternoon and welcome to our LIVE match commentary of the Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Stoke City at Selhurst Park.
Roy Hodgson will be hoping Crystal Palace can earn just their second win of the season when they host Stoke today. Having lost seven games in a row to start the season, the Eagles' form has improved slightly in recent weeks, with five points from their last five Premier League games. However, they are still five points adrift from safety at the bottom of the table.
Stoke are unbeaten in their last three Premier League matches and have drawn both their previous games 2-2 against Leicester and Brighton, they sit 13th in the table.
Crystal Palace have Patrick van Aanholt and Jordon Mutch available following injury. Whilst, Christian Benteke may start after making his return from a knee injury as a substitute last week. Meanwhile, Stoke manager Mark Hughes may be without Xherdan Shaqiri, who was substituted with a tight hamstring at Brighton on Monday night.
The team news is in here, this is how the two sides will line-up today...
PALACE SUBS: Speroni, Van Aanholt, Dann, Benteke, Fosu-Mensah, Sako, Puncheon
The Potters are unchanged from the side that drew against Brighton on Monday. Whilst Palace have made two changes to their starting line-up, with Wayne Hennessey back in goal for the Eagles and James Tomkins replaces Scott Dann in the heart of the defence.
Head-to-head: Stoke's 1-0 home victory over Palace when the sides last met in February ended a seven-game winless run against the Eagles in all competitions. However, the Potters have not won at Selhurst Park since a 3-1 victory in the Championship in October 2007.
The teams are out here at Selhurst Park and kick-off is almost upon us, stay tuned for all of the match action!
HALF-TIME: CRYSTAL PALACE 0-0 STOKE
It's goalless here at Selhurst Park with both sides showing plenty of desire, but missing the quality to make the breakthrough. Shaqiri and McArthur having the best chances for their respective teams, but neither keeper has really been tested other than that.
FULL-TIME: PALACE 2-1 STOKE
Palace pick up just their second victory of the season after a late winner from Sakho deep into injury time here! A terrific game, with both teams really going for it in the second half. Shawcross should've scored for Stoke just minutes earlier and that would've probably have given Stoke the victory, but he somehow misses it. Then Palace pile on the pressure late on and nick a winner, to send Selhurst Park into raptures.
That's all from us today folks, we hope you enjoyed the game!
