We're underway at Wembley.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the Premier League clash between Tottenham and Burnley at Wembley Stadium.
Spurs suffered a defeat in their first home match in the Premier League at Wembley last week, losing 2-1 to Chelsea. Marcos Alonso's double felled Mauricio Pochettino's men, who missed a number of chances over the course of the contest.
Tottenham now must bounce back to avoid falling further off the pace in the title and dispel any notion of struggle at Wembley. It's an important afternoon for Pochettino's side.
Burnley came back down to earth last week following their impressive win over Chelsea on the opening day. Sean Dyche's men slipped to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of West Brom at Turf Moor, going down to Hal Robson-Kanu's strike.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Chris Wood has arrived to bolster the firepower in their squad in a club-record £15m purchase. He will be desperate to make an impact, although he does not start this afternoon.
Tottenham make one change to the side that was beaten by Chelsea last week. Son Hueng-min comes into the starting line-up to replace Victor Wanyama, who is still suffering from a knee injury and was slightly off the pace last week. Eric Dier moves back into the midfield, while Son plays in a three-man attacking unit behind Harry Kane.
Dyche resists the option of handing Wood his first start since his move from Leeds. He keeps faith with Sam Vokes to lead the line following his brace on the opening day of the season. Burnley make one change from their defeat to West Brom as Scott Arfield replaces Jeff Hendrick, who misses out with a thigh injury.
FLASHBACK! Tottenham were forced to come from behind to defeat Burnley in this fixture at White Hart Lane last term. Ashley Barnes put the Clarets ahead, only for Dele Alli to equalise before Danny Rose secured the win in the second half.
The players are out on the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
HALF-TIME: TOTTENHAM 0-0 BURNLEY
It's goalless at the break at Wembley. Tottenham have been thwarted by stiff resistance at the back from Burnley. However, Spurs have lacked a cutting edge in the final third, with Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min not at their best.
James Tarkowski has been the standout thus far, putting in several important blocks for Sean Dyche's men. Mauricio Pochettino will be demanding an improvement from his team after the break.
The players are back out for the second half, so we should be underway shortly.
FULL-TIME: TOTTENHAM 1-1 BURNLEY
Chris Wood scores his first Premier League goal for Burnley to earn the Clarets a point at Wembley. Tottenham were on course for victory after Dele Alli put them ahead early in the second half, but they missed a plethora of opportunities to kill the game off and were punished at the death. Spurs' struggles at Wembley continue.
Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
