Newcastle push on for another as they try and add to the celebratory atmosphere at St. James' Park. There was plenty of unrest in regards to the Magpies' lack of transfer activity, which would have been amplified with a defeat today, but you have to wonder how this may change Rafa Benitez's approach heading into Deadline Day on Thursday.
90'
There will be four minutes added on at the end of this match, though they are little more than a formality at this stage.
88'
J. Murphy enters the game and replaces M. Ritchie.
Ritchie goes off to an electric applause, and a deserved one at that, as he's replaced by Jacob Murphy for the final minutes.
86'
A. Mitrović has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by Ayoze Pérez.
NO STOPPING HIM THIS TIME! Moments after being thwarted by Hart, Mitrovic finds himself through on goal again, this time rounding the keeper and rolling a finish into the empty net! Three goals, three points for Newcastle!
Assist Ayoze Pérez Gutiérrez
Goal Aleksandar Mitrović
85'
TERRIFIC STOP! Wonderful work from Hart who gets off his line in a flash to deny Mitrovic, who was clean through on goal after an excellent first touch to take a bouncing ball in stride and get behind the defence!
84'
Lanzini stands over a free-kick from just over 30 yards as West Ham aim to set us up for a grandstand finish. It would take something extra special to get on the mark from here, but he can't find it, wildly flinging an effort over the bar. Par for the course this afternoon for the Hammers, as the travelling fans pour out of the stadium.
83'
Mikel Merino gets yellow.
Yellow card Mikel Merino Zazón
82'
M. Diamé enters the game and replaces I. Hayden.
Newcastle make their second change as Mohamed Diame, the former West Ham player, comes on to replace Hayden.
Substitution Isaac Hayden Mohamed Diamé
80'
No signs of life for West Ham who are limping towards the finish line. The international break will give Bilic valuable time to work out the kinks in his side, but it's going to prove a long wait for Hammers fans to rid this sour taste from their mouths.

Description
78'
D. Sakho gets yellow.
Sakho is booked for flinging an elbow carelessly at Merino.
Ritchie continuing to run himself into the ground, and he almost gets his goal, sliding in just a fraction late as he tried to get on the end of Hayden's low cross at the far post! Newcastle have really turned on the style and look like adding to their lead. Misery abound for West Ham.
Yellow card Diafra Sakho
76'
Frustration for West Ham, jubilation for Newcastle. The atmosphere on Tyneside is electric as Newcastle are headed for their much anticipated first points of the season. For the Hammers, they will finally return home to the Olympic Stadium after the international break with three successive losses away from home to open their season, barring an unprecedented turnaround here.
74'
STAT: The 2010-11 Premier League season is the only previous time that West Ham have lost each of their opening three games to a Premier League campaign.
72'
A. Mitrović enters the game and replaces Joselu.
C. Clark has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by M. Ritchie.
Newcastle make their first change of the afternoon with just under 20 mintues left as Aleksandr Mitrovic comes on for Joselu, who sees his full debut end here but not after scoring the decisive goal as things stand.
NEWCASTLE IN LINE FOR THEIR FIRST VICTORY OF THE SEASON! Ritchie has worked his tail off today and he's rewarded here with an assist, splendidly picking out an unmarked Clark in the area with his cross in from the right, which the centre-half heads off the far post and in!
Substitution José Luis Sanmartín Mato Aleksandar Mitrović
Assist Matt Ritchie
Goal Ciaran Clark
71'
C. Kouyaté enters the game and replaces M. Noble.
The second sees Cheikhou Kouyate enter the fray at the expense of Noble.
Substitution Mark Noble Cheikhou Kouyaté
70'
D. Sakho enters the game and replaces A. Ayew.
Double change here for West Ham. Diafra Sakho replaces Ayew with the first.
Substitution André Ayew Pelé Diafra Sakho
68'
West Ham need to do a better job of getting their creative types involved. Chicharito is having to to drop far to deep to try and get on the ball, while Lanzini has hardly had a touch since coming on. They're just lacking in ideas today, making life far too easy on this Newcastle defence.
66'
STAT: Newcastle United have lost just one of their last 13 Premier League home games against West Ham United (W7 D5 L1).
65'
E. Fernandes gets yellow.
Fernandes becomes the second player booked on the afternoon, both issued to West Ham players.
Yellow card Edimilson Fernandes
63'
SHOULD BE TWO! That close to doubling their advantage, come Newcastle! They break four against two and Ritchie has a go from just outside the box. Hart does very well to make the initial save, before Zabaleta slides in at the vital moment to clear the rebound!
61'
Hayden is back amongst it as play gets underway again, looking no worse for wear. Newcastle are back in the ascendency here, looking relatively in control of the match as they aim to add to their lead and secure their first points of the season.
59'
Another injury concern for Newcastle as Hayden goes down clutching his ankle after tangling up with Ayew. The midfielder has been excellent today, forming an energetic partnership with Merino, but appears to be in obvious pain here as his participation in the remainder of the match is put in doubt.
57'
Slowly but surely West Ham are creeping back into the game. They still lack the consistency and a general idea in attack, but are headed in the right direction at least.
55'
STAT: Chicharito has scored three goals in his last four Premier League starts against Newcastle United.
53'
CLEARED OFF THE LINE! Desperate, last-ditch defending at its finest! Elliot makes the initial save to deny Cresswell, and Chicharito pounces on the rebound, sending a bouncing effort back towards goal, but Clark slides in brilliantly to clear!
52'
CHICHARITO ESCAPES WITH ONE! That was a genuine attempt to win the ball from the West Ham striker, but he did catch Clark late. Newcastle players swarm Neil Swarbrick looking for a second yellow, but the referee takes his time to make a decision and opts to let him off with a final warning.
50'
West Ham desperately need a bit of a spark - something, anything to build off. They went all of the first half without managing a shot on target, and have shown no signs of turning things around early in the second frame here.
48'
Hart forced into an early touch as Newcastle pick up where they left off. Ayoze leaves Collins in his dust as he sprints by him with a burst of speed and attempts a cross-shot hybrid that Hart manages to parry smartly at the far post with Joselu lurking!
46'
M. Lanzini enters the game and replaces D. Rice.
Here we go again!
No shock here as Lanzini is brought on for the second half, a pleasant sight for West Ham fans, as he replaces Declan Rice.
45' +6
HALF-TIME: NEWCASTLE 1-0 WEST HAM.
45' +4
Good response here from Newcastle as they get back up the pitch in a flash and win a corner of their own. Ritchie, who has put in an excellent shift thus far, whips an inviting delivery in, but eventually it winds up in the arms of Hart. The keeper's ensuing kick smacks into the back of Ritchie and back towards goal, but it rolls wide of the post, much to the relief of an angry Hart.
45' +2
West Ham have upped the urgency a bit as we creep towards the break. A free-kick and now a corner for them to work with, but Newcaslte heads are first to the ball after both. Still, they are struggling to relieve the pressure a bit.
45'
There will be six minutes added on at the end of this first half, as a result of the lengthy injury stoppage for Ayew.
44'
West Ham have been second best in nearly every regard in this first half, albeit not by the widest of margins, but they will still be desperate to get this match into the interval and regroup. Manuel Lanzini could prove to be an important piece for them off the bench, should he be fit enough to play a full 45 minutes.
42'
STAT: Newcastle United haven’t won a Premier League game in the month of August since 2013; losing five and drawing four of their nine matches in the month since then.
40'
There's even more life to Newcastle now as the goal has sparked them in attack. Their momentum is halted, at least temporarily, however, as Ritchie is down nursing an ankle injury that requires attention.
38'
That's a huge goal to ease the nerves in Newcastle, as they finally have their campaign off and running. For West Ham it's more cause for concern, as they stare a third successive defeat dead in the eyes. They can't wait to get home, surely.
36'
Joselu has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by C. Atsu.
Great pick out from Atsu who provides the assist.
NEWCASTLE OPEN THEIR 2017/18 ACCOUNT! It's a first goal of the Premier League season for the Magpies, and that will go a long way in relieving the tension on Tyneside! Atsu is played through smartly on the left and squares brilliantly for Joselu, who knocks into the empty net from eight yards! His first Premier League goal for Newcastle!
35'
Both sides play a similar style, which has really plagued proceedings in this first half. Everything has been a bit predictable in attack, and neither keeper has had much to do thus far as a result. The match is certainly there for the taking, but who will be the one to snatch it?
33'
STAT: Only against Aston Villa (22) and Tottenham Hotspur (21) have Newcastle United won more Premier League matches than versus West Ham United (17).
31'
LASHED OVER! Great interplay between Noble and Antonio on the right, and the former sends a tidy cross in for Ayew, who has Chicharito screaming for the ball a few feet away. Ayew doesn't hear him, however, and winds up teeing up Cresswell, who fires over from a tight angle.
29'
West Ham need to start posing more of a threat. They have yet to create anything of note in this first half, and while Chicharito is a striker who doesn't need a lot of opportunities to score, it's a tough ask for him to create and score all by himself.
27'
Play resumes here with West Ham down to 10 men, but Ayew looks set to be able to continue. He's suffered a facial laceration and, now that he's been patched up, will need to change his shirt on the touchline to one that resembles less of a crime scene.
25'
Still down here is Ayew, and it actually appears to be a facial injury upon further review. He may have been caught in the face by the studs of Manquillo. Regardless of the injury, it certainly doesn't look good for player or club. Subs are warming up, while the player remains down getting attended to my the medical staff.
23'
West Ham have a worry as Ayew stays down on the pitch with an apparent leg injury after sliding into a relatively innocuous challenge. The balls runs out of play and the Ghana international frantically waves over to the touchline for the training staff to come to his aid - not what you want to see.
21'
STAT: West Ham have conceded seven goals in their opening two Premier League games of the season; the most they have conceded at this stage in a league campaign since 1988-89 (7).
19'
FIRED OVER! West Ham struggle to get the ball clear following a Newcastle free-kick. It comes into the far post and is kept alive smartly, with Hayden teed up atop the area for a quick strike, but he sends a venomous effort inches over the bar!
17'
J. Hernández gets yellow.
After a consultation with the fourth official, Chicharito is booked as he clatters into his opponent late on the touchline, hoping to sneak a bit of contact in behind the eyes of the official. That didn't go unnoticed, however.
15'
West Ham have kept themselves nice and organised in defence despite Newcastle ramping up the pressure. They respond with a tidy attack of their own and win a free-kick on the left, but the ensuing delivery is sent into the welcome arms of Elliot.
13'
Despite the frustrating transfer window and losing start to the campaign, the atmosphere is terrific in St. James' Park. There's no shortage of audible support for this Newcastle side. They are really starting to come into their own following a slow start, and now have their first corner of the match to work with.
11'
STAT: Rafael Benitez has seen his Newcastle side lose their first two Premier League games of the season under his stewardship – he’s never lost three successive games as a Premier League manager before.
9'
Hart puts himself under unnecessary pressure as he's too nonchalant in collecting the ball following a Newcastle attack, and he nearly gifts Joselu the opener! West Ham have a bit of nerves creeping in all of a sudden as momentum starts to swing in favour of the hosts.
7'
There's no cohesion to either side's approach in these early stages. It's all a bit pedestrian and disjointed at the moment, with the defensive units coming out on top. The likes of Joselu and Chicharito have hardly seen the ball up to this point.
5'
West Ham are enjoying a bit more time on the ball, but have struggled to break into attack. Newcastle are quick to pounce on any little mistake made by the visitors, Atsu the latest to win the ball back and break, forcing Collins into a late foul.
3'
Patient start from both sides, neither looking to push the tempo much but instead control possession and gather a bit of momentum in possession. Matt Ritchie negotiates the first foray into attack, but sends a cross straight into the waiting arms of Joe Hart.
1'
AND THEY'RE OFF! Newcastle in black and white as they get the match underway, attacking left to right, with West Ham in claret and blue.
Hello and welcome to live coverage from St. Jame’s Park as Newcastle host West Ham with both sides going in search of their first points of this young Premier League season!
Life back in the top-flight has not gone according to plan for Newcastle, losing to Tottenham and Huddersfield in their first two matches while failing to score a single goal, before being dumped out of the Carabao Cup by Nottingham Forest on Wednesday.
It has become a troubling theme for the Magpies, who have not won any of their last nine Premier League matches in August, only emphasising the unrest felt on Tyneside after a relatively disappointing summer in the transfer window.
CONFIRMED TEAM NEWS:
They were able to bounce back against Cheltenham Town on Wednesday and will play their final of three away matches to open the season before returning home to host Huddersfield after the international break – light at the end of the tunnel for the Hammers.
West Ham have opened with successive defeats themselves, but have at least showed signs of life. They put in a gutsy effort at St. Mary’s last weekend, nearly snatching a result despite playing down a man for over an hour.
Rafa Benitez makes just one change from the 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield Town, as Joselu leads the line ahead of Dwight Gayle. Jonjo Shelvey serves the final game of his three-match ban, while DeAndre Yedlin and Florian Lejeune are still sidelined.
Slaven Bilic makes a pair of changes from the defeat at St. Mary's. Marko Arnautovic misses out through suspension, with Edimilson Fernandes taking his place in attack, while James Collins gets the nod in defence ahead of Jose Fonte. Manuel Lanzini is fit again and included in the side for the first time this season, but starts on the bench, as does Cheikhou Kouyate, who returned with a cameo against Cheltenham on Wednesday.
Joselu's first Newcastle goal is also the first Premier League tally of the season for the Magpies as they come out ahead at the end of a strong first half at St. James', while West Ham need to find a higher gear if they are to avoid a third successive defeat to open the league campaign.
A first victory of the season for the Magpies as tension is eased on Tyneside in advance of the international break. Joselu opened Newcastle's account in the first half on his full debut, before Ciaran Clark and Aleksandr Mitrovic compounded the misery for West Ham, who have lost three straight to start the season for the first time since 2010, and just the second time in their history.
