Nagelsmann has done an outstanding job this season, guiding Hoffenheim from 15th in the table last term to reach the Champions League for the first time. The 29-year-old will be determined to end the season on a high note to avoid the play-off round late in the summer.
Dortmund will be doing everything in their power in their final three matches to avoid going through the qualifying rounds of the Champions League. They trail Julian Nagelsmann's men by one point and can leapfrog them in the table with a victory today.
This match is crucial in deciding which round these sides will enter the Champions League. Both teams have secured their place in the competition next term, but Hoffenheim will receive automatic passage into the first round should they remain in third place.

Dortmund have made three changes from their goalless draw against Koln last time out. Lukas Piszczek, Raphael Guerreiro and Ousmane Dembele come into the fold this afternoon as Erik Durm, Shinji Kagawa and Christian Pulisic drop out.
Nagelsmann has made one change to his side that beat Eintracht Frankfurt last week. Nadiem Amiri drops to the bench as Mark Uth comes into the side to replace him. He leads the line alongside Sandro Wagner in attack.
STAT ATTACK! Hoffenheim have failed to win their last eight fixtures against Dortmund. Their last win over Die Schwarzgelben came on the final day of the 2012/13 campaign.

HALF-TIME: BORUSSIA DORTMUND 1-0 HOFFENHEIM
Borussia Dortmund hold a narrow lead at the break thanks to Marco Reus' early strike, although Hoffenheim were far from happy with the decision as it appeared the forward was well offside as he collected the ball.
It could have been worse for Julian Nagelsmann's side after Dortmund were awarded a penalty, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang fired his effort wide of the post. From that point the visitors took control of the game, but were unable to create a clear-cut opening in the final third.
Both managers will be demanding more from their respective teams in the second half, so we should be set for a thrilling 45 minutes of action.

FULL-TIME: BORUSSIA DORTMUND 2-1 HOFFENHEIM
Borussia Dortmund secure a huge win in their hopes of reaching the Champions League without having to go through the play-off system. Goals from Marco Reus and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang were enough to guide them over the line, despite a penalty miss from the Gabonese.
Hoffenheim drop two points behind Thomas Tuchel's men, but with two matches left in the season they will not have given up hope of securing third place. They were decent this afternoon, but lacked the cutting edge needed, although Andrej Kramaric's late penalty gave them a glimmer of hope towards the end.
