Spain come forward chasing a third, but Deulofeu, so desperate to get a second of his own, bundles into Koscielny off the ball and it's a French free-kick.
90' +3
OFFSIDE! Again an offside call denies France, although Griezmann lazily shot wide after being flagged from Giroud's knockdown in the box. Dembele prompted the attack with another exciting run.
90' +1
Between Koscielny's knock and the delays with the video refereeing, there are five additional minutes.
90'
WIDE! Deulofeu, so dangerous since his introduction, darts inside to pick out Silva, but the subsequent shot is tame and wide.
89'
France are still searching for a route back into this game, but it doesn't look like coming now. Spain have, just about, been good value for their win.
88'
CHANCE! Wonderful from Dembele on the right to shimmy past Silva and cross, but Griezmann, stretching in the middle, can only nod over from close range.
86'
Nacho enters the game and replaces Jordi Alba.
SUB! A second change in quick succession for Spain as Nacho Fernandez replaces Alba.
84'
Iago Aspas enters the game and replaces Álvaro Morata.
SUB! Iago Aspas is on for Morata.
83'
CHANCE! Kurzawa really should shoot in the middle as he and Giroud swap flicks in the area. The ball eventually sits up for Dembele from Jallet's lay-off, but his overhead kick is wildly over the top.
Minute
Description
80'
T. Lemar enters the game and replaces C. Tolisso.
O. Dembélé enters the game and replaces K. Gameiro.
SUB! Tolisso's debut is ended by the introduction of Thomas Lemar.
SUB! The impressive Gameiro is off, too, for Ousmane Dembele.
The linesmen are certainly under scrutiny with this technology and there's a very marginal call on Silva as he and Deulofeu led a counter from a France corner.
77'
Deulofeu has scored a goal for Spain! Assist by Jordi Alba.
It was a really gorgeous Spain goal. Busquets set Alba away with a sumptuous flick and his cross picked out Deulofeu.
GOAL! Deulofeu opens his account! There's a lengthy delay, the goal having originally been flagged offside, but the strike is correctly awarded by the video assistant after the winger sweeps into the net. 0-2.
76'
Koscielny, now sporting a bandage, appears to be willing to continue, but Aymeric Laporte is readying himself.
74'
Ander Herrera enters the game and replaces Koke.
Koscielny is going to require attention now, having clashed with Thiago Alcantara as Deulofeu chased in behind.
SUB! Ander Herrera is on now for Koke.
73'
Finally, the ball is Spain's again as Bakayoko nods over the top. No worries for De Gea there.
72'
And a corner again! Umtiti wins it...
BLOCK! This is a real spell of French pressure. Gameiro's low shot is blocked by Ramos for, yes, another corner...
71'
Once again, Spain deal with the delivery. Lloris has the ball back in his own half. More frustration for France.
Another opportunity to deliver, however, as Giroud wins a free-kick from Pique...
70'
Corner for France now, though. A lengthy move is ended as Gameiro wins the set-piece on the right...
68'
Penalty goal scored by David Silva for Spain!
PENALTY! And what an impact! Deulofeu is immediately involved, nudging the ball past Koscielny to win a spot-kick.
GOAL! Cool as you like from Silva! He sends Lloris the wrong way from 12 yards. 0-1.
67'
Deulofeu enters the game and replaces Pedro.
SUB! Gerard Deulofeu is on for Pedro.
66'
Kurzawa, under the cosh through the first half, has made a good start to the second period. He blocks from Pedro and then wins a free-kick on the touch-line.
65'
O. Giroud enters the game and replaces K. Mbappé.
Finally, the ball is behind and it's Mbappe, just offside, who fires wide. Lloris had intercepted and Mbappe pushed a promising move on towards Kurzawa for a low cross.
SUB! And that's Mbappe's last action. A fairly quiet display. Giroud is on.
63'
Olivier Giroud is waiting to come on for France, but, with Spain in possession, the ball has not been out of play for a number of minutes. Pique started the current move as he wrestled the ball from the dangerous Gameiro.
60'
What a superb intervention from Busquets! Alba's low cross is picked off and Kurzawa and then Gameiro lead a French charge. However, as the forward turns inside to look for a team-mate, Busquets perfectly intercepts the pass with an outstretched toe.
59'
WIDE! Lovely pass from Pedro to pick out Morata's run, but he slices his finish a long way wide under pressure from Koscielny.
58'
Disappointment for Spain now, though, as Pedro fouls Koscielny and the whistle blows before Koke can find a man in the middle. Free-kick and chance wasted.
57'
That foul has just slowed France's momentum a little while giving Spain the chance to come forward. Pedro forces a corner...
55'
C. Jallet gets yellow.
YELLOW! Jallet flies through the back of Silva and goes into the book.
54'
CHANCE! France's second half dominance continues as Mbappe links up with Griezmann for the latter to cross. The centre is behind Gameiro, though, and Spain scramble clear after threatening to present the ball straight back to France.
53'
David Silva enters the game and replaces Isco.
SUB! Isco makes way, too, with Silva on.
52'
Thiago Alcântara enters the game and replaces Andrés Iniesta.
SUB! Iniesta bows out for Thiago Alcantara.
50'
Despite that setback, France are continuing at a fine pace in this second half. So far, at least, it's been a big improvement from the first half for Didier Deschamps' men.
48'
OFFSIDE! Well, this is controversial. Griezmann scored from Kurzawa's knockdown, but, as France celebrated, the video assistant adjudged the assisting full-back to be offside. It looks a good call. This is the future of officiating, it would seem.
47'
Not as many changes as we might have expected, then, but Bakayoko is immediately involved to find Mbappe in the area. On the turn, though, the forward loses the ball.
46'
T. Bakayoko enters the game and replaces A. Rabiot.
SUB! Tiemoue Bakayoko replaces Rabiot, who was, of course, on a booking. The Monaco man is making his international debut.
KICK-OFF: Griezmann and France get us back under way.
45'
HALF-TIME: France 0-0 Spain.
SAVE! A neat Kurzawa flick keeps Spain out on one flank, but they soon switch to Isco who lets fly. Lloris gathers fairly comfortably.
43'
CHANCE! Gameiro has been involved in all of France's best football. He gets in on the right on this occasion and delivers deep, with De Gea flapping under the hanging ball. Although the goalkeeper missed it, so too did Mbappe while Griezmann was absent at the back post. Better, all the same.
41'
Kante, too, has not been at his influential best so far. A busy midfield has seen him lose possession on a number of occasions, but this time he's fortunate to find Rabiot protecting the space he left.
40'
Griezmann will know all about these Spain players, but he's had no luck so far. Picking the ball up on the right, he's immediately swarmed and loses out to Alba.
39'
France are at least pushing Spain now, but their tackles are too often clumsy, with Tolisso fouling Iniesta and Koscielny then guilty of toppling Morata.
37'
France's attacks are certainly much quicker than the visitors', forcing the ball forward at great speed. However, they have not quite clicked in attack so far and Jallet's pass lets them down on this occasion.
36'
One crunching Koscielny challenge and a smart Mbappe interception are all France have to show for the last couple of minutes. Spain are passing the ball at will in trademark fashion.
34'
Rabiot needs to be a little careful. He gives up another foul on the left, having already been booked. Lloris comes and claims expertly from Koke's centre.
32'
The hosts were just, finally, enjoying an extended spell on the ball, but Rabiot, again, overplayed and lost out to Iniesta in the middle. It's all Spain again.
31'
The set-piece comes to nothing, but France can at least keep possession and build again.
30'
Corner to France now! Tolisso turns defence into attack, Gameiro pushes the ball on and Mbappe wins the flag kick.
28'
SAVE! Kante gives the ball away by the corner flag and Spain quickly move through the gears. Pedro slips in Iniesta and his prod from the right side of the area is parried by Lloris. Koscielny cannot clear but a defensive colleague lends a hand.
27'
Another Spain corner as Koscielny dives at Isco's cross...
This time Lloris stays on his line and Rabiot clears, but Spain have the ball back straight away. They are imperious at the moment.
25'
CLOSE! Pedro runs in behind on the right and delivers hard and low. Morata, running towards the near post, cannot make contact under pressure from Koscielny as the ball fizzes by. That was a chance.
24'
There's no way out for France. Rabiot is pressured and then Lloris is, too, and Alba has possession on the left. Iniesta and Isco are pushing for the visitors.
23'
The ball is in the net, but it's not going to count. Lloris is a little fortunate to get a free-kick as he collides with Sergio Busquets and Sergio Ramos. The loose ball was hooked over the line, but the whistle went.
22'
Sure enough, Spain have the ball back. Pedro's cross is long, but Isco is there and wins a corner from Jallet...
21'
A big cheer from the home crowd as Lloris skips away from Morata with a neat chop in his own area. Risky, but neat.
The supporters have been lifted now, with that piece of skill followed by a promising attack on the right as Griezmann and Mbappe chased down Pique. Spain will look to kill that momentum once again.
19'
A. Rabiot gets yellow.
Morata is the man in the middle looking to get on the end of these Spanish deliveries, but he strays offside as Isco turns inside to look for another angle on the cross.
YELLOW! And Rabiot is booked for the challenge, too.
Meanwhile, Adrien Rabiot has yet to really get his foot on the ball for France and now he clatters Carvajal in midfield. Frustrating for the PSG man.
17'
Layvin Kurzawa is having a busy opening to this game, with Pedro and Carvajal doubling up on that side. A number of crosses have come in, with Umtiti again getting his head to the latest effort.
15'
It looks as though France may be required to play on the break here, but, with Mbappe, Griezmann and Gameiro in a front three, that may suit them. Kante, too, is familiar with such a gameplan from his club side Chelsea.
14'
CLOSE! Oh, Andres Iniesta. In typical style, he jinks into the area and curls a delicate finish inches past the right-hand post. Evergreen.
13'
After that scramble, Spain are back in control and this is more like the World Cup-winning side we knew. Carvajal and Jordi Alba are high on either wing, with the ball moving through the midfield.
11'
OFF THE LINE! Griezmann delivers and Koscielny's header is hooked agonisingly away from the goal line by Gerard Pique. Good defending.
10'
Koke is perhaps a little fortunate that this is just a friendly. Mbappe runs at Gerard Pique and the recovering midfielder seems to deliberately clip his heels. No booking but a France free-kick in a good position on the left...
9'
The ball is now pinging around the middle third of the pitch, moving at such a pace that neither side can keep possession for long. Again, Spain look wide on the right for an option.
7'
A slack pass out of defence from Christophe Jallet allows Spain to quickly recycle possession and find Isco in the area. He cannot find space to cross or shoot, though, with Laurent Koscielny in attention.
6'
All the action is down that flank so far. Spain attack this time, with Dani Carvajal and Pedro linking up, but Morata cannot turn the subsequent cross on target.
5'
SAVE! Of course, it's Mbappe forcing the issue! Gameiro, who is playing from the left so far, crosses low and Mbappe flicks an effort towards the near post. David De Gea turns clear with his right boot.
4'
Now a first attacking move for France. Kevin Gameiro accelerates away down the left, but his low centre cannot quite pick out the advancing Tolisso in the middle.
3'
France have settled now. Kante and Tolisso, in the middle, are sweeping up any loose balls while the hosts look to build forward in attack. Mbappe, wearing the number 12, has had a couple of lax touches so far.
2'
And sure enough, Pedro's direct wing play forces a corner from Samuel Umtiti. The delivery, though, is helped clear by N'Golo Kante.
1'
KICK-OFF: Alvaro Morata and Spain get us started!
Inside the opening 60 seconds, we've seen two long balls from the visitors, who are now pressing down the right flank. This is a different side to that which dominated Europe with short passing for so many years.
Hello and welcome to our live text commentary of the international friendly between France and Spain from Saint-Denis!
Both teams secured World Cup qualifying wins at the weekend - France beating Luxembourg 3-1, Spain winning 4-1 against Israel - to remain top of their respective groups at the campaign's halfway stage. However, today there is a break from competitive action as two of Europe's finest outfits go head-to-head...
France were finalists at Euro 2016 - hosting the competition, too - and the production line for talented stars does not appear to be slowing, with the latest band of in-form youngsters set to feature today.
Spain, of course, won three consecutive major tournaments from 2008 to 2012, but they're now evolving under Julen Lopetegui after disappointment at both the World Cup and the European Championships in recent years.
There is a full debut for Monaco's 18-year-old striking sensation Kylian Mbappe in the France side, having made his first appearance from the bench on Saturday. Corentin Tolisso, meanwhile, is making his international bow.
The sides' last meeting was less than three years ago, another friendly at the Stade de France, but just seven of the starters from that game will take to the field from the beginning of today's encounter. Such is the turnover of players in international football that Hugo Lloris and Antoine Griezmann are the only French players to keep their places from the match in September 2014, where Loic Remy's goal secured a 1-0 home win.
Unsurprisingly, much of the attention heading into this clash has been on Mbappe, with players and officials from Real Madrid taking the opportunity to flutter their eyelashes in the direction of Europe's top teenage talent. After impressing in the Champions League, this is another opportunity for the France forward to show his class on an international stage.
Mbappe will not be the only man feeling the heat here, though, with video refereeing to be trialled. The officials will hope there are not too many contentious calls to put a burgeoning system under pressure.
The players are currently gathering in the tunnel, with club team-mates greeting one another before they go head-to-head out on the pitch.
And after a countdown, encouraged by the stadium's big screen and roared on by the French fans, the teams have taken to the field. The anthems are to come and we will shortly be under way.
Spain make four changes from the side that won on Friday, with three of their goal scorers in that game - David Silva, Vitolo and Diego Costa - dropping out.
It's not been a thriller so far, but Spain have stamped their authority on that first half. However, they have little to show for their 67% possession, while France have also created chances. It remains tight.
That's all from the Stade de France. Thanks for joining us and, until next time, goodbye!
A deserved victory for Spain, the goals coming from David Silva and Gerard Deulofeu, in a game that was decided by the video assistant. The key decisions at either end were corrected and France came up short.
