Chaos in the Spanish penalty area Konoplyanka and Yarmolenko send crosses in from either side, but an eventual handball awards the hosts a free kick and that is the end of the action!
90' +2
Spain are doing their best to hold onto possession. Ukraine cannot score if they don't have the ball, and La Roja are doing everything they can to try and milk the clock. Silva is fouled as Tymoshchuk tries to win the ball back and that should allow more precious time to run off the clock.
90' +1
P. Budkivskyi enters the game and replaces A. Kravets.
90'
There will be four minutes of added time. Can Ukraine find a dramatic equalizer or will Spain hold on for the clean sheet?
88'
CRUCIAL STOP! Where has this been all half from Spain?! Isco and Cazorla work a sensational give-and-go, with the Arsenal man finding himself through on goal. He tries to curl a shot in at the far post but Pyatov gets just enough of it to knock it behind! The referee hasn't spotted it, however, and awards a goal kick.
86'
Rotan is alright to continue on and Ukraine waste no time getting back into attack. Yarmolenko is forced wide but shows great vision to send a long, cutback pass into the path of Tymoshchuk. The midfielder meets it and tries for a first-time shot, but lifts his effort over the bar and is none too pleased with himself after the fact.
84'
This isn't good for Ukraine! Isco slides dangerously into the back of Rotan who goes down in serious pain. The midfielder has been the best player on the pitch tonight for his side and they will need him to continue on if they are to find an equalizer.
82'
STAT ATTACK: In Ukraine's last six qualifying matches away from home, Dynamo Kyiv attacker Andriy Yarmolenko has registered a staggering five goals and four assists.
80'
The flow can finally stop being interrupted, with the slew of substitutions behind us. The pace begins to pick up immediately and Kravets wins his side a corner. The delivery from Rotan is great, of course, but a foul inside the area sees the attack come to an end.
79'
Juan Bernat enters the game and replaces Jordi Alba.
Minute
Description
78'
The injury bug has taken over! Jordi Alba is the latest player slow to get up and he appears to be in real discomfort as he is replaced by Bayern left-back Juan Bernat. That's the final substitution for Spain.
76'
D. Harmash enters the game and replaces T. Stepanenko.
Substitutions slow the pace of the game now and Spain will be more than content with that. Taras Stepanenko picks up a knock and clutches his hamstring, forcing his night to end early. On in his place is Dynamo Kyiv's Denys Garmash.
74'
Santi Cazorla enters the game and replaces Andrés Iniesta.
IMPORTANT TACKLE! Pedro nearly latches onto the end of a through ball, but Shevchuk slides in at the vital moment to knock it behind for a corner. The stoppage allows Del Bosque to make his second change, bringing on Arsenal midfielder Santi Cazorla, with Andres Iniesta giving way.
72'
O. Kucher gets yellow.
Much better from the hosts. Enough is enough, they say, as Spain get back to controlling possession in the attacking half. Their patient build-up has Ukraine frustrated as they begin to amp up the pressure in the hopes of winning the ball back.
70'
STAT ATTACK: Spain have won 14 consecutive Euro qualifying matches at home, since a 1-0 defeat against Greece in 2003. They have also recorded victories in 23 of their last 24 European qualifiers in Spain, keeping 16 clean sheets over that span while never conceding more than once in a game.
68'
HOW ARE THEY NOT LEVEL!? It's a tremendous build-up from the hosts and really should have resulted in the equalizing goal! Stepanenko plays a great ball through for Kravets, who then cuts it back brilliantly for Rotan, with Spain completely caught out in defence. The midfielder has a go from point-blank range, no more than eight yards out, but smacks his shot straight at Casillas!
66'
Del Bosque has seen enough and opts to make the first change of the match. Pedro is on to replace the goalscorer Morata, who has gone into hiding in this second half. Play resumes and it appears as though the substitute will operate on the right with Silva playing as a false nine.
65'
Pedro enters the game and replaces Álvaro Morata.
64'
Yarmolenko needs to get himself more involved in attack, but he has not seen much of the ball and he's been forced to drop deeper to offer Fedetskiy support in defence, with Isco running rampant on the left.
62'
FEDETSKIY! The right-back is looking more like a striker with his runs behind the defence from set pieces. He does well to elude his marker again and comes just a fraction of an inch away from heading Ukraine level. Spain have to start marking better because they have been atrocious with their defending from set pieces.
60'
It has all gone a bit flat for Spain who are now the ones being pinned in their own half. Ukraine are committing bodies forward as they search for an equalizer and they are looking like a new team altogether since the restart.
58'
HORRIBLE FROM CASILLAS! The keeper is far too relaxed in possession and passes the ball straight to Rotan. The midfielder takes two steps forward and drives a shot at goal, but the keeper atones for his mistake by knocking it behind for a corner.
56'
STAT ATTACK: Ukraine have never previously qualified for a European Championship as an independent nation. They participated in the 2012 tournament as co-hosts, along with Poland, though they failed to advance past the group stage.
54'
A. Kravets gets yellow.
SHOULD BE LEVEL! Another good move from Ukraine is halted, this time by Silva, who is penalized for a foul on Konoplyanka. Rotan delivers a magnificent ball in once again and Fedetskiy is there to meet it behind the defence, but he can't get enough of it to redirect it past Casillas!
52'
BRILLIANT SAVE! Ramos is shown a yellow card for a tackle on Kravets as he is forced to slow down a counter. Rotan delivers the free kick and it trickles all the way through, forcing a tremendous reactionary stop from Casillas, who dives to his right to keep it out. The ensuing corner is equally dangerous, but the keeper is off his line and punches it clear!
50'
Sergio Ramos gets yellow.
A loud roar of applause resonates through the stadium as Isco makes his presence felt once again in attack. The Real Madrid man makes a magnificent turn in midfield before keeping his run going and playing the ball into the centre for Morata. Ukraine partially clear, but Isco shows great work ethic to dispossess an unsuspecting Shevchuk before forcing a save from Pyatov with a quick shot.
48'
Juanfran and Silva link up beautifully on the right, advancing the ball into a threatening position. The final ball is played in by the defender, but no one attacks it in the centre, allowing Ukraine to clear easily.
46'
The players are back out and Spain get this second half underway! No changes to tell you about at the break.
45'
AMBITIOUS! Ukraine muster up one last counter in this first half and Rotan lifts a cross towards Tymoshchuk atop the area. It's straight from the training ground, but the midfielder's volley doesn't make it through the mess of bodies in the area as the danger is cleared and the first half comes to an end.
43'
Spain are dominating possession once again as they try and double their advantage before the break. La Roja have enjoyed nearly 70 per cent possession throughout this first half and they want another goal to show for it.
41'
OFF THE POST! Silva takes the free kick and lofts a short cross into the area. Ramos, who is so good from set pieces, runs in to meet it and sends a thumping header towards goal. It has Pyatov easily beaten, but smacks off the woodwork!
40'
David Silva shows his magic, dribbling through tight spaces on the left. His ability to change direction is matched by few, and it forces Shevchuk into conceding a foul on the edge of the area.
38'
GOAL! But it won't count! It's absolutely stunning from Iniesta, who somehow spots the run of Juanfran on the right and threads a brilliant ball through the mess of bodies to send him in on goal. The right-back plays it across the face of goal for Morata to slot home, but the linesman's flag goes up very late. It was the correct call, however, as the defender just mistimed his run.
36'
STAT ATTACK: The two teams have met just three times in their history, with Ukraine failing to record a victory in those matches (D1, L2). The former member of the Soviet Union lost their only previous trip to Spain, 2-1, in the qualifying phase for the 2004 European Championship.
34'
There was a chance at the equalizer! Rotan, who has been exceptional with his deliveries from set pieces, whips another good cross into the box from a free kick. He picks out the head of Khacheridi, but the towering centre-back cannot direct his effort on target!
32'
A. Kravets enters the game and replaces R. Zozulia.
Ukraine make the first change of the match and they are forced into it as Roman Zozulya is unable to carry on after picking up a knock. On to replace him is Artem Kravets, who is in the midst of the best scoring season of his career, for Dynamo Kyiv.
30'
That is a very big goal for Spain, who had nothing to show for their early pressure and could sense Ukraine starting to gain some confidence and fight back in the match. The task has just become that much more difficult for the visitors.
28'
Álvaro Morata has scored a goal for Spain! Assist by Koke.
MORATA GIVES SPAIN THE LEAD! It's a first senior international goal for the striker and what a time to score it! He latches onto a sensational through ball from Koke and shows great strength to fend off Khacheridi before forcing the ball into the back of the net under significant pressure from the centre-back.
27'
INCHES AWAY! Ukraine finally mount a threatening counter. Yarmolenko's initial cross is cleared, but the pressure stays on. Konoplyanka lifts a ball into the area and Fedetskyi does brilliantly to head it down into the path of Rotan, but he sends his half-volley just wide of the far post!
25'
He's trying to do it himself now, is Isco, and it's not very far away! He skips past a challenge on the left as he cuts into the centre, before driving a shot at goal from 35 yards out. He gets great power behind it, but it drifts wide of the near post.
23'
STAT ATTACK: Ukraine have won five of their last six qualifying matches (both Euro and World Cup). They have averaged exactly four goals per game in those victories. The lone defeat came at the hands of France in the build-up to the 2014 World Cup.
21'
Isco has been the liveliest man in possession thus far for Spain. The Real Madrid man in continuously threatening the Ukraine defence with his timely runs forward, and is at it again, dribbling his way into space on the left. He then chips a clever cross in for Silva, but the midfielder's header is lifted over the bar.
19'
WHAT A CHANCE! It's the clearest opportunity of the match so far and it is generated by the visitors. Rotan delivers a free kick from the right and picks out Fedetskiy, who is left completely unmarked. The full-back gets behind the defence but his first-time volley is lashed over the bar from in close! He has to be putting that on target.
17'
Abysmal dive! Tidy work from Iniesta in midfield who again spots the run of Morata and plays an exquisite ball through for the him. The striker's first touch is heavy, and realizing the chance has gone, he goes to ground theatrically, with no contact whatsoever. I'm not sure how he's escaped a booking here.
16'
A. Fedetskyi gets yellow.
15'
VITAL BLOCK! Iniesta makes a wonderful turn and picks out Alba on the left, before being taken out with a very hard tackle by Fedetskiy. The referee plays advantage, but a booking is surely coming. Isco takes a pass from Alba and skips past a defender before seeing his shot deflect kindly into the path of Silva, but Khacheridi dives in to deny him from close range!
13'
Ukraine have had absolutely no possession whatsoever and can find no way to break out of their own end and relieve the pressure on their defence. They have two very talented wide men who can pose a great threat on the counter, but they have yet to have a real touch of the ball.
11'
STAT ATTACK: Spain are unbeaten in 29 competitive matches on home soil (W25, D4). Their last defeat came back in a Euro qualifying match in 2003 against Greece.
9'
JUST WIDE! Excellent run from Morata off the ball and Iniesta plays him through behind the defence, but the Juventus striker fails to test Pyatov with his final attempt! The pass and run were superb, but the hosts have to start making these count.
7'
It's all Spain early on! Jordi Alba provides wonderful width out on the left and it again allows La Roja to break through into the area. Silva picks out the left-back after a sensational run, but again the final ball is lacking as he chips a cross safely into the arms of Pyatov.
5'
SENSATIONAL BUILD-UP! It is absolutely tremendous from the hosts, but where is the end product?! Isco starts the move again, penetrating the wall of yellow defenders before picking out Iniesta, who plays a clever first-time ball through for Silva. The Manchester City man opts not to have a shot himself, instead playing the ball across the face of goal, but Kucher is there to clear the threat.
3'
Spain mount the first real threatening attack and Isco is at the heart of it. The midfielder, who has been a real bright spot for Real Madrid this season, darts through the centre and lays the ball off smartly for Iniesta. He then takes a quick return pass, but can't get a shot off before his ball out wide for Juanfran is intercepted by Shevchuk.

We are underway in Sevilla! Spain are in all red, attacking right to left, with Ukraine in all yellow. Here we go!
Good evening footy fans around the world, and welcome to Sevilla for another lovely evening of European Cup qualification. The Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan is our venue tonight as the current holders, Spain, take on Ukraine with sole possession of second place in Group C on the line. I am Alex Moretto and I will be your in-game host, guiding you through the match LIVE as it happens!
Spain and Ukraine sit tied for second place in Group C with nine points apiece after four matches, though La Roja hold the edge with a superior goal differential. The two sides are battling to catch first-place Slovakia, who have yet to drop points in the qualification phase. The top two teams in each group secure their place in the final tournament, while the third-place side advances to a play-off, making tonight's match that much more important as both teams try and secure automatic qualification.
It is a fairly predictable starting XI put forth from Vicente Del Bosque. He names an unchanged back line from the 3-0 victory over Belarus in their most recent qualifier, with Sergio Busquets providing the protection from a deeper-lying role in midfield. Andres Iniesta and David Silva return to the XI at the expense of Santi Cazorla and Pedro, while Paco Alcacer, who was left out of the squad altogether, is replaced by Juventus forward Alvaro Morata.
Ukraine boss Mykhaylo Fomenko has limited his changes as well, following a convincing 3-0 victory at Luxembourg in their ast qualifier. Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Serhiy Sydorchuk has been left out of the squad as a result of injury, though the Yellow-Blue have been boosted by the return of Shakhtar Donetsk's Taras Stepanenko who gets the start this evening in midfield. Ruslan Rotan is also pushed back into the starting XI as Ukraine look to pack the midfield, at the expense of striker Denys Oliynyk who is relegated to a spot on the bench. The lone other change comes at the back where Oleksandr Kucher replaces Yaroslav Rakitskiy.
The respective national anthems of Ukraine and Spain reverberate through the stadium. The visitors are well represented here this evening in the bleachers, while the always boisterous Spanish support is in full voice on this Friday night. The atmosphere is matched only by the importance of this game, as the players take their spot on the pitch ahead of the opening kick-off.
There is a well-observed moment of silence for those tragically lost when the flight from Barcelona to Dusseldorf crashed over France earlier this week. It is met by a loud applause as the moment concludes and we are now ready for the start of the match!
HALF TIME: SPAIN 1-0 UKRAINE. The hosts have largely dominated the opening 45 minutes and Alvaro Morata has ensured their efforts were not wasted with his first senior international goal. La Roja have shown a few signs of weakness at the back, however, as the visitors had two glorious chances to grab a goal of their own. It will be difficult for them to turn this around, but they will have their chances in the second half - it's just a matter of taking them.
Slovakia are dismantling Luxembourg at the break in other Group C action, to the tune of a 3-0 scoreline. Should they hold on, they will remain atop the group by a minimum of three points, regardless of what happens in this match between Spain and Ukraine.
FULL TIME: SPAIN 1-0 UKRAINE. Alvaro Morata's first-half goal proves to be the difference, though it was far from convincing from La Roja who really let the game slip away after the break. Iker Casillas was forced into making a number of fine saves as Ukraine will be kicking themselves for walking away from the match empty handed.
I am Alex Moretto and I would like to thank you all for joining me here today. Good bye!
