Matuidi and Pastore combine to good effect on the edge of the penalty area, before the latter drags a horrendous effort well wide of the near post with his left foot.
90' +2
PSG are content to stroke the ball around their back four, with a tired away side very reluctant to press them too high up the field. The hosts go all the way back to Sirigu in order to draw Sagnol's men in, before attempted a searching direct ball in behind for Lavezzi to chase.
90'
There are three minutes of stoppage time at the end of the second half.
89'
Yambere makes an important interception! Aurier delivers a good cross from the right-hand side, which the Bordeaux defender just about manages to poke behind for a corner ahead of Lavezzi at the back post! PSG opt to simply retain possession from the resulting set piece.
87'
Lavezzi is forced to chase another ambitious lofted through ball, but Carrasso is very quick off his line to collect the pass ahead of the PSG goalscorer. Since taking to the pitch, he's been a real bundle of energy.
85'
Lavezzi is denied! Pallois gets across to make a fantastic sliding challenge to prevent the Argentina international from pulling the trigger just inside the Bordeaux penalty area! He had to get that tackle right!
83'
Less than ten minutes are left for Bordeaux to endure, in what hasn't been a good afternoon for the visiting outfit. Despite their good form at the start of the season, things might just be beginning to tail off for them.
81'
E. Lavezzi has scored a goal for PSG! Assist by B. Matuidi.
GOOOOOOOAL! LAVEZZI PUTS THE GAME TO BED! The Argentina international tucks home a finish inside the near post, which wraps up a vital three points for Blanc's men! The substitute glances an intelligent finish past the helpless Carrasso, sparking jubilant celebrations.
80'
Matuidi manages to work his way to the byline down the left-hand side, but the Frenchman's shot, which is directed towards the near post, is parried away to safety by Carrasso.
78'
D. Contento enters the game and replaces G. Sertic.
The tempo of the game has lowered, with most sides not managing to land any telling blows. No substitutes have had a particularly profound effect on proceedings.
Minute
Description
76'
Contento readies himself on the sidelines for the away side, with Sagnol looking to fresh things up in the later stages. Less than a quarter of an hour remains for PSG to see out what would be an important three points.
74'
S. Sirigu gets yellow.
Sala tries his luck with an acrobatic effort, which forces Sirigu to get across acrobatically to cover his angles. Bordeaux aren't quite out of this contest yet, but chances are few and far between. Sagnol's men would probably take a 2-0 defeat, given that conceding more goals against title opposition could prove important later in the season.
72'
Pastore tries to close down the Bordeaux goalkeeper, but just manages to force the Frenchman into a hurried clearance instead. PSG are sitting in their shape and allowing their opposition to keep the ball in their own half.
70'
Pallois clips the heels of Lavezzi this time, with the Argentine substitute not being treated too kindly since taking to the field. PSG are enjoying more of the ball and looking to kill off the game with a third goal, but Carrasso hasn't been tested for 15 minutes.
68'
Pallois should probably be penalised for tugging back Lavezzi as the former Napoli man looked to race through on goal, but instead the referee opts to play on - much to the Argentine's bemusement.
66'
E. Lavezzi enters the game and replaces Lucas Moura.
Less than half an hour remains in Paris, with Blanc's men looking to have two hands on securing second place for now. Given that the hosts are playing Marseille soon in Ligue 1, getting three points this afternoon is absolutely paramount.
64'
Lavezzi is readying himself on the PSG bench, with the Argentina international bound to give the home side some fresh legs and additional pace and creativity. He gets a good reception from the Les Parisiens faithful.
63'
Khazri catches Thiago Silva with a raised boot, but the Brazil international will be fine to continue immediately, though PSG are awarded a free kick. Aurier continues to break down the right with regularity, to compensate for the fact Bahebeck was sacrificed following Van der Wiel's dismissal.
61'
Cabaye lines up a shot from 30 yards out, but the Frenchman's effort is always rising, with Carrasso more than happy to watch the ball balloon over his crossbar.
60'
Y. Cabaye enters the game and replaces M. Verratti.
Verratti is replaced by Cabaye, with Blanc perhaps having one eye on the fact that the Italian midfielder only requires one more yellow card to face suspension against Marseille. Given that both sides have had to do extra running to make up for their dismissed player, we could see some gaps opening up soon.
59'
Narrowly over half an hour remains, with Bordeaux not looking likely to get back into this game whatsoever. Chances have been few and far between from Sagnol's men, with Sirigu only having to make one save all afternoon.
57'
Y. Kaabouni enters the game and replaces D. Rolán.
E. Sala enters the game and replaces T. Touré.
Important block from Luiz! Sirigu comes off his line to deal with a cross, but isn't able to punch clear due to pressure from Pallois, with the rebound not being capitalised upon by Rolan.
55'
PSG have another half chance, with Matuidi fed through on goal, but the through ball evades the foot of the France international. That was very close to being the perfect pass to carve apart the Bordeaux defence.
53'
Sertic makes an important defensive header to put a PSG corner behind, before Plasil rises highest to remove the second delivery from the danger zone. Bordeaux haven't started the half well and are struggling to get a foothold in proceedings.
51'
Brilliant save from Sirigu to deny Plasil! The Italy international hasn't had anything to do all game, but gets across to his right acrobatically to palm a curling effort from the Czech midfielder around the post! The resulting corner comes to nothing.
50'
Penalty goal scored by Lucas Moura for PSG!
GOOOOOOOOOAL! LUCAS MAKES IT TWO! Carrasso guesses the correct way, diving to his right, but can only palm the ball into the top corner! The goalkeeper punches the turf in frustration and PSG have a two-goal lead.
48'
A few substitutes begin their warmups, with Lavezzi back on the sidelines for the home side. The hosts are content to hold onto possession for the time being and slowly ease their way into the second half.
PENALTY TO PSG! It's another spot kick! Lucas makes a great run beyond the last defender, staying onside brilliantly, before he is hauled down by Pallois as he looked to turn and shoot.
46'
We are underway in the second half! We might be two men down, but there is still plenty to play for in this important clash near the top of Ligue 1!
45' +3
Penalty goal scored by Lucas Moura for PSG!
GOOOOOOOOOAL! LUCAS CONVERTS THE PENALTY! The Brazil international sends the goalkeeper the wrong way, calmly slotting the ball into the bottom right corner just before the break! The perfect way for PSG to end the half.
45' +2
PSG try and force the issue in the dying seconds, but Carrasso makes a good save at his near post to beat away an Aurier strike! The former Toulouse full-back has been marauding up and down the right flank since taking to the field.
PENALTY TO PSG! Verratti skips into the box, before committing a defender and tumbling over the leg of Yambere! The hosts have the chance to take the lead.
45'
There are two minutes of stoppage time.
44'
Verratti and Thiago Silva spurn a golden chance! A great cross in from the left-hand side evades the visiting defenders, before the diminutive Italian midfielder can only bundle the bouncing ball over the crossbar and onto the roof of the net! He's just missed from about four yards out!
42'
Maxwell picks out his opposite full-back Aurier at the back post, but the Ivory Coast international can only dip a volleyed effort straight at Carrasso, before giving away a free kick while trying to take control of the rebound.
41'
Five minutes until the break and the second red card has really evened things up again. PSG have regained the spring in their step and have began to push forward again, but another good interception from Pallois denies the hosts the lead!
39'
PSG DENIED BY THE POST! A long-range free kick from Luiz cracks off the inside of the far post, with Carrasso looking utterly helpless! It rebounds across the face of goal and somehow clear of the danger zone. What an effort! Great hit, that was really travelling!
37'
A. Biyogo Poko goes off after a red card!
RED CARD! Another dismissal, this time for Bordeaux! Poko is expelled from the field of play, as Sagnol watches on with disdain. The midfielder took a poor touch, before losing his balance and falling into a tackle with Verratti, with the referee seemingly itching to level things up!
35'
Khazri tries his luck from the resulting 25-yard free kick, but the wall does its job and makes a block - though it appeared to encroach somewhat. With ten minutes until the break, PSG might be happy to get into their dressing room still level.
33'
The away side have taken heart from Van der Wiel's dismissal, pushing forward constantly in search of an opening goal. Thiago Silva is then penalised for a supposed shove on Plasil, despite the Brazil international appearing to win the ball fairly. PSG's players are outraged.
32'
S. Aurier enters the game and replaces J. Bahebeck.
31'
Rolan turns a ball over the crossbar from six yards out, after Poko managed to flick on a corner delivery at the near post. The Argentine should have been scoring and appears to have picked up a knock after being clipped by Luiz after the ball had gone.
30'
Aurier prepares himself on the sideline, as Blanc looks to make a change to deal with Van der Wiel's dismissal. PSG face an hour with a numerical disadvantage, leaving Bordeaux with a huge chance to take three points home from Parc des Princes.
28'
G. van der Wiel goes off after a red card!
RED CARD! Van der Wiel is off! Bahebeck is nearly found in behind enemy lines with a well weighted pass from Verratti, but the Frenchman can't take an ambitious touch and Carrasso collects. The Dutchman is penalised for a poor timed tackle, but Khazri's reaction didn't help the former Ajax man's cause.
26'
Lucas drifts in from the right-hand side, before attempting to slide a pass to the edge of the box for Pastore to collect, but Sertic steps in ahead of the former Palermo man to make a timely interception.
24'
Verratti sees a shot blocked from close range, as PSG spurn their biggest chance of the game thus far. Bordeaux are staying compact and frustrating in the opening half an hour, with Sagnol presumably happy thus far.
23'
So far, the signs are that PSG are missing Ibrahimovic and Cavani, with Pastore and Bahebeck not providing too much of a focal point at the head of Les Parisiens' attack. The Argentine midfielder tries to dance into the box once again, but Poundje robs his man of the ball.
21'
PSG continue to take the leading role in this contest, with the away side content to sit deep in their own half. Direct passes are becoming slightly more common, possibly down to some building frustration from the hosts.
19'
Big chance for Pallois! The central defender rises highest at the back post to meet the Bordeaux free kick delivery, but can only glance the ball wide of the upright with a poor header! That was a golden opportunity.
18'
Rolan twists and turns on the edge of the penalty area, before being tripped by Motta, gifting the away side a free kick 30 yards from goal. Given that chances have been at a minimum for Sagnol's men thus far, they'd be wise to make the most of this dead ball situation.
16'
T. Motta gets yellow.
Plasil is penalised for a cynical tackle on Lucas, earning the experienced midfielder a stern telling off from the referee. Poko is then scythed down by Motta, earning the Italy international an immediate and deserved yellow card.
14'
Sirigu remains untested in the PSG penalty area, as Bordeaux continue to break upfield at pace, before running out of options. Pallois makes an important interception to deny a cutback from the left byline, as Lucas bore down on goal at the back post.
12'
Toure receives the ball to feet, before scampering down the right-hand side, but the forward is robbed of possession by Luiz as he looks to cut inside. Bordeaux are threatening on the break, but PSG are the more dominant force.
10'
Verratti curls a cross in towards Matuidi, who busts a gut to challenge in the box yet again, but the Italian's midfielder is unable to get anywhere near it. Yambere looks to have taken a slight knock, as PSG continue to push forward and pressure the away side.
9'
Bahebeck is found out on the left-hand side in acres of space, but is caught offside. There's no excuse for the winger to hamstring his side's attempts to get forward there, he could across the entire defensive line there.
7'
Matuidi and Verratti are on the end of a couple of scrappy early tackles, but both midfielders are fine to continue. PSG are on top in the opening stages, but the visitors' defence is staying tight enough to deny through balls into Bahebeck and Pastore.
5'
Pastore drives through the heart of the Bordeaux defence, before sliding a pass out wide for Lucas, but the Argentine's pass isn't heavy enough and forces the Brazilian to go back to Van der Wiel. The Dutchman dips a cross in towards the back post for Matuidi to challenge for, but Faubert does just enough to put his adversary off.
3'
PSG enjoy the early possession, with the visitors happy to sit in their shape and absorb some pressure. Pastore and Bahebeck are found by direct passes at first, but are quickly robbed of the ball. The two combine on the edge of the box with a neat one-two, but Yambere slides in well.
1'
We are underway in the first half in Paris! PSG need to grab a win today in order to gain ground on Marseille at the summit of Ligue 1, while Willy Sagnol's men will have similar aspirations of their own after a fantastic start to the campaign.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of Ligue 1's early kick off this afternoon, as Paris Saint-Germain and Bordeaux clash in an important game in terms of the top of the table. Laurent Blanc's side scraped a win in the Champions League midweek, but have some serious work to do if they are to bridge the seven point gap between themselves and Marseille in top spot.
I'm Simon Harrison and I will be keeping you up to date with proceedings from Parc des Princes, with PSG requiring a win to cement their place in second. The hosts are unbeaten in their last five games, but haven't been overly convincing, especially with key man Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Bordeaux, meanwhile, have been something of a surprise package this season.
TEAM NEWS: There's no Ibrahimovic, nor Cavani for PSG this afternoon, with the former missing through injury and the second through suspension. Thiago Silva and David Luiz are fortunately present in central midfield, with Pastore, Moura and Bahebeck asked to take the offensive responsibility in the absence of their star teammates. Lavezzi is among the substitutes.
TEAM NEWS: The away side have plenty of injuries for today's fixture, with the likes of Sane, Saivet, Jussie, Thiago Ilori, Pellenard and Maurice-Belay unavailable for Bordeaux. Rolan starts as a lone striker, with Poko, Khazri and Toure asked to support the Uruguayan forward.
PSG starting line-up (4-3-3): Sirigu; Van der Wiel, Silva, Luiz, Maxwell; Motta, Matuidi, Verratti; Pastore, Lucas, Bahebeck.
Bordeaux substitutes: Jug, Mariano, Contento, Kaabouni, Diabate, Sala, Shamal.
HALF TIME! PSG lead at the interval, courtesy of a stoppage time penalty from Lucas. Chances have been fairly rare in the opening 45 minutes, with two red cards altering the course of the game. Van der Wiel and Poko have been dismissed, both perhaps harshly.
Aurier has been PSG's most dangerous player since taking to the field, forcing Carrasso into a couple of good saves, with Luiz unfortunate to strike the post with a great free kick. Both Rolan and Verratti have missed golden chances from close range too. Be sure to rejoin us in ten minutes for all of the second half action.
FULL TIME! PSG run out as comfortable 3-0 winners at Parc des Princes versus Bordeaux, snatching a vital three points against second-placed opposition. Goals from Lucas and Lavezzi wrapped up the win for the hosts, with two penalties aiding Les Parisiens' cause. Two first-half red cards changed the course of the game, with the referee again grabbing the headlines in Ligue 1.
That's all we have time for from the French capital, with PSG taking a vital step towards securing at least a second place finish this season. Red cards for Van der Wiel and Poko made the referee an unpopular man at the interval, but things are much more amicable at the end of the match. I've been Simon Harrison and I hope to see you again next time.
