A poor cross from Dummett flies straight out for a goal kick as another opportunity goes begging. Time running out for the Magpies in Staffordshire.
90'
Chants of 'Sacked in the morning' are coming from both sets of fans as the match enters the final seconds of normal time. Pardew's job hangs in the balance with four minutes added on.
88'
Newcastle lose possession and yet again Arnautovic can run towards goal and get a shot in. Coloccini does well to stand his ground and block.
86'
Stoke break yet again as Ireland feeds Arnautovic on the right, but Tiote does brilliantly to get back and win the ball back. The Ivorian has been excellent this evening.
84'
OFF THE BAR! All of a sudden Newcastle come to life through Obertan on the right. The winger's cross is a good one into the six-yard box where Colback is waiting, but the midfielder can only turn his effort onto the crossbar. Let-off for Stoke.
82'
O. Assaidi enters the game and replaces V. Moses.
Moses' race is run following a fine performance, and he is replaced by Liverpool loanee Assaidi for the closing stages.
80'
Newcastle look to work a free-kick routine on the edge of the box as Tiote tees up Sissoko. The France international's low effort is a powerful one but Whelan does well to charge it down and neutralise the danger.
78'
Stoke break at lightning speed following a Newcastle corner, with Moses yet again the architect. He finds Arnautovic who runs in on goal before poking wide, though the offside flag had already gone up.
76'
Sissoko looks to work some room on the right-hand side before crossing towards the back post where Ameobi is waiting. The winger's header is a weak one though and is picked up by Begovic.
74'
S. Ameobi enters the game and replaces R. Cabella.
Pardew makes his third and final change of the night as Cabella is replaced by Ameobi for the closing stages.
Minute
Description
73'
This has been a very poor second-half showing from Newcastle. They have never looked like threatening Begovic and are struggling to control the game as they did in the first 45 minutes.
71'
PENALTY? NO! Appeals from Stoke fans as Crouch is tripped on the edge of the box by Williamson. Pawson waves play on, but Krul is quickly out of his goal to confront the striker. Fortunately for the goalkeeper none of the officials seemed to see that.
69'
Newcastle have had 53 percent possession in the second half but have done very little with it. Pardew has 20 minutes to turn this match around and possibly save his job.
68'
G. Obertan enters the game and replaces Y. Gouffran.
67'
Finally the visitors create something in the final third but Dummett's long-range effort flies well wide. Meanwhile Pardew makes his second change of the night as Obertain replaces Gouffran.
66'
Arnautovic breaks through the middles of the pitch as the Newcastle defence backs off. Eventually Williamson dives in, but the ball falls for Ireland on the edge of the box. His curled shot is poor though and drifts well over the crossbar.
64'
G. Whelan gets yellow.
Whelan becomes the first Stoke player to go in the referee's book for a foul on Cisse in the middle of the pitch. The Magpies have not got going in this second half as yet.
62'
GOOD SAVE! A comedy of errors in the Newcastle defence almost allows Moses to double Stoke's lead. Janmaat tries to clear his lines, only for the ball to bounce back goalwards off Williamson. Moses has plenty of space to find the net, but Krul does well to save with his feet from close range.
61'
S. Ireland enters the game and replaces C. Adam.
60'
P. Cissé gets yellow.
Cisse drops deep to try and pick up the ball but he can only be shown a yellow card as he catches Adam late. That is the Scot's last action as Ireland comes on in his place.
58'
N'Zonzi wins a free-kick around 25 yards from goal that Adam lines up with his left foot. His curling shot is on target but Krul is always behind it and can hold on at the second attempt.
56'
Little in terms of goalmouth action since Arnautovic hit the post early in the second period. Stoke will be happy enough given the fact that they have the narrow lead.
54'
Despite Cisse's introduction Newcastle have struggled to get anything going in the final third. Only Janmaat's long-range effort has tested Begovic despite all their possession.
52'
Bardsley is not pleased after he is pulled up by Pawson for a trip on Cabella. Tiote comes to get involved but the referee quickly diffuses the situation.
50'
Despite that early chance for Stoke, they again look happy to sit and allow Newcastle to have plenty of possession in their half. Hughes knows his team can cause problems on the counter attack if they are solid in defence.
48'
OFF THE POST! So close to a second for Stoke as Muniesa crosses from the left towards Crouch. Williamson does brilliantly to head away, but Arnautovic is there to strike a low effort against the upright. Krul was well beaten.
46'
P. Cissé enters the game and replaces E. Rivière.
Pardew has opted to make a change at the break, with Cisse, who scored twice against Hull City last time out in the league, replacing Riviere. Stoke get us underway for the second period...
45' +2
We are halfway into four minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first half, and it is Newcastle looking to put pressure on the Stoke goal. Pardew can certainly be happy with how his side have controlled this match thus far.
45'
Moses has been the best player on the pitch in the first half, and he creates yet another chance for the home side. The Chelsea loanee skipped through two challenges on the left before finding Arnautovic, but the substitute's effort is well blocked by Dummett.
44'
GOOD SAVE! Newcastle's best moment of the game as Janmaat lines up an effort from 25 yards. The Netherlands defender has to find a way through a sea of bodies, but his shot is a good one and Begovic has to get down well to his right to push the ball away.
43'
Moses, yet again, finds space to run at the heart of the Newcastle defence. He looks to feed Crouch in the box but the ball is too heavy, and though the striker looked to work space for a cross, he ran out of room.
41'
J. Colback gets yellow.
Colback picks up the first booking of the match as he cynically takes out Moses on the far touchline. No complaints from the former Sunderland midfielder.
39'
Dummett has certainly been keen to get forward, and he looks to test Begovic after cutting inside on the edge of the area. His effort flies over the bar, though it was deflected off Shawcross.
37'
This game is very open now, and Newcastle are able to launch a counter-attack through Sissoko. He finds Cabella, who in turn looks to return the ball to the France international at the back post, but Muniesa does well to head away.
35'
Stoke's counter-attacks are causing Newcastle all sorts of problems. This time Muniesa crosses in from the left, and only a Coloccini header stops Crouch from doubling the lead inside the six-yard box.
33'
Riviere just has not got into the game in his role as a lone striker while Gouffran and Sissoko are also struggling behind the former Monaco man. Stoke's defence are fairly comfortable despite the pressure.
31'
The rain is absolutely pouring down now, but Pardew is happy to stand out with no hood and get absolutely soaked. The weather no doubt matches his mood as he looks to possibly save his job.
29'
Tiote looks to find Dummett making a run down the left-hand side bu the diagonal ball is too heavy for the full-back. Despite some good play in midfield the Magpies have struggled in the final third.
27'
After a period of Newcastle pressure they lose the ball in the Stoke half and all of a sudden Moses is away down the middle. As he reaches the edge of the area he feeds Crouch, but the England forward's effort is sliced horribly wide.
25'
Despite holding the lead, Stoke have not really managed to get their passing game going. Moses' pace is causing problems but the likes of Adam and Whelan have struggled to control the game in midfield.
23'
M. Arnautović enters the game and replaces M. Diouf.
Arnautovic is the man who has been called up from the bench to replace Diouf. The striker has headed straight down the tunnel to receive more treatment.
22'
Play has now been halted as Diouf seemed to injure his hamstring during that Stoke break. The former Manchester United striker does not look as if he will be able to continue.
21'
The free-kick is headed away by Crouch and Stoke can launch a counter-attack. Diouf carries the ball forward before finding Moses, but he is unable to keep hold of the ball under Gouffran's challenge. Referee Pawson waves away the appeals for a penalty, and suddenly at the other end Sissoko drives wide after cutting inside from the left.
19'
Newcastle are working the ball well down the flanks, and they win another free-kick in a dangerous area as Wilson trips Dummett on the left-hand side of the area. Cabella will look to find a team-mate this time.
17'
As the thunder and lightning begins in Staffordshire, Cabella picks out Coloccini on the edge of the box from a corner, but the Newcastle skipper's controlled volley flies well over the bar.
15'
P. Crouch has scored a goal for Stoke City! Assist by V. Moses.
GOAL!!! CROUCH OPENS THE SCORING! All of a sudden Stoke lead as Moses finds space on the left before whipping in an inch-perfect cross for Crouch to leap and head past Krul. The goalkeeper never moved as the Potters find the net at home for the first time this season.
14'
Better from Newcastle as Cabella skips past two challenges as he cuts inside from the right before feeding Riviere, but the former Monaco man can only lash his effort over the crossbar.
12'
Little goalmouth action in the opening stages, with neither side able to find the space to get their creative players into the game as yet. These two teams tend not to play out cagey encounters, though, so expect plenty of action to come.
10'
Colback's cross is a poor one and Whelan can head away at the near post. The home side then look to break but Whelan's ball into Moses is too heavy and Krul can collect.
9'
Riviere wins a free-kick in a dangerous area on the right-hand side as he is caught by Wilson as he looks to cross into the box. Colback will look to whip this in with his left-foot.
7'
Adam looks to be fine to continue after some lengthy treatment. It looks like little more than a hefty knock on the shin.
5'
Newcastle certainly look comfortable in possession, but there are some worries for Stoke as Adam goes down after limping away from a strong challenge with Cabella in the second minute. He will need some treatment.
3'
Stoke have started brightly, and N'Zonzi has the first shot on goal of the evening as he picked the ball up around the halfway line before breaking goalwards. Eventually he opts to shoot from 30 yards, but his effort is a poor one and dribbles wide of the post.

Newcastle kick-off and we are underway in the final Premier League match of the weekend...
Hello and welcome to live coverage of the Premier League encounter between Stoke City and Newcastle United. Neither team has really set the world alight yet this season, but after cup victories there is hope that their league form will in turn pick up. I'm Tom Maston and I'll be guiding you through all the action from the Britannia Stadium.
Much of the attention this evening is on Newcastle boss Alan Pardew, with his job seemingly hanging by a thread. The club's owner Mike Ashley was quoted on Saturday that a defeat to Stoke would signal the end of Pardew's reign, and though he has since admitted he only said that as a joke, this may well be the former West Ham boss' final game as Magpies boss. His team is yet to register a league win this season and currently sit 19th in the table.
Stoke, meanwhile, have fared little better so far this season, with Mark Hughes' side having only registered one victory from their opening five matches, though that was away at Manchester City. They are yet to score at home as yet and were twicve pegged back to draw 2-2 at QPR last time out in the Premier League. The Potters sit 17th in the table and would drop into the relegation zone with defeat this evening.
Before we go any further, the two line-ups have been announced ahead of kick-off in around 20 minutes time...
Newcastle United subs: Elliot, S.Taylor, Anita, Obertan, Ameobi, Armstrong, Cisse.
Hughes makes just one change from the Stoke side that drew with QPR as Marc Muniesa, who scored twice against Sunderland in the Capital One Cup, replaces Erik Pieters at left-back. Otherwise they are unchanged, meaning Bojan Krkic remains on the bench as he searches for his first Premier League goal.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are unchanged from their 2-2 draw against Hull City, meaning the hero of that match Papiss Cisse must make do with a place on the bench. Emmanuel Riviere is retained up front after netting twice against Crystal Palace in the League Cup while young striker Adam Armstrong is named among the substitutes.
Newcastle's recent record at Stoke is not great, with the Magpies having won just once in five Premier League visits to the Britannia Stadium. Pardew will be keen to improve that record, especially since anything short of a win could signal the end of his time in the North East.
There are now under ten minutes until kick-off in Staffordshire, and there could be a brisk pace to this game given the fact that there has been heavy rain prior to the match getting underway. Despite the weather, there should be a great atmosphere inside one of the Premier League's loudest stadiums.
There are a number of 'Pardew Out' banners on show within the away end, with the Newcastle fans keen to make their feelings known. After Ashley's comments earlier this weekend, they may well get their wish after this evening's encounter.
The two teams are in the tunnel as we approach kick-off, with the atmosphere certainly building inside the stadium. After two home defeats, the Potters' supporters will certainly be up for this one.
The teams make their way out onto the pitch, and after all the usual pre-match niceties and handshakes we will be ready to get underway...
Unsurprisingly, much of the attention is on Pardew, with almost every camera snapping away at the Newcastle boss. Meanwhile, we are ready to get going on the pitch.
The half-time whistle blows, and after a frenetic first 45 minutes it is Stoke who have the lead through Crouch's header. The 'Sack Pardew' banners are out in force again, and the Magpies boss needs a turnaround here.
The hosts have struggled to control the game, but Moses has been superb on the counter-attack. Newcastle need to contain the winger if they are to get back into this one. I'll be back in ten minutes to see if Pardew can inspire a comeback.
The two teams are making their way back out onto the pitch as both teams chase an important victory. Arguably Pardew needs a win more than Hughes, with possibly 45 minutes to save his job.
One last spell of pressure from Newcastle comes to nothing, and it is a first home win of the season from Stoke City. Newcastle remain winless and second from bottom, with Pardew's job certainly hanging in the balance. Will Ashley keep his word? We will probably find out in the next couple of days.
Stoke just about deserved their win given the chances they created, with Moses very impressive. It was his cross that found Crouch for the winner, and the Potters are up and running at the Britannia Stadium. For now, though, I've been Tom Maston and thanks for joining me.
