What a moment! Tim Sherwood has just pulled a Tottenham fan from the stands and asked him to put a gillet on and sit in the manager's seat for a few moments! Say what you want about the guy but he has a fantastic sense of humour over his uncertain future!
88'
There is very little appetite in this fixture now. Both sets of fans are cheering and having a great time but it is really a chance for both sides to give some invaluable match experience to youngsters in the ranks. Pritchard has looked alert for the hosts whislt Robertson was unlucky not to feed El Ahmadi in the box.
85'
The Villans are looking for a consolation here but their tempo is poor and it allows Spurs to put as many white shirts in the way as possible. I think this away side are already on their end of season holidays after today's performance!
83'
A. Pritchard enters the game and replaces G. Sigurðsson.
C. Robinson enters the game and replaces L. Bacuna.
81'
STAT ATTACK: Baring a ressurgent comback from the Villans, Spurs will finish the season on 69 points, the same total that saw them finish fourth in the Premier League in 2011-12 only to be denied a Champions League place after Chelsea - who finished sixth that season - won the trophy.
78'
The Spurs back four has looked calm and composed in the face of the likes of Agbonlahor and Weimann today. Dawson comes across to cut out a great ball from deep and Delph looks frustrated as he failed to meet the ball.
77'
WELL WIDE! Bentaleb is in acres of space and picks the ball up in the middle. He drives down on goal and decides to go for the spectacular from distance and drags his shot off target.
75'
N. Bentaleb enters the game and replaces Paulinho.
We have fifteen minutes of the season left and it the ohme fans are chanting on a happy afternoon for them. For Villa, they may be safe, but this performance has epitomised their disappointing campaign.
73'
K. Naughton gets yellow.
Adebayor is frustrated to have been caught offside after a stepover from Paulinho allows him in on goal. The linesman's flag is up as Sherwood looks like he is preparing to bring the young midfielder Bentaleb on.

Description
71'
The pace has dropped off somewhat in the last few minutes here at White Hart Lane as Spurs look like they are happy with the three they have already scored and are not pressing Villa as much right now.
68'
ELSEWHERE: Liverpool are now 2-1 up but remain two points behind the league leaders Manchester City. They need West Ham to score three goal in the last 20 minutes of the season to have any chance of lifting the title.
65'
STAT ATTACK: Of the 70 games these sides have played in the league at White Hart Lane, hosts Tottenham have won the majority, 36, with 14 draws and 20 defeats.
63'
Sandro looks like he is making way for young defender Veljkovic and the fans favourite here at White Hart Lane is applauded off the pitch by manager Tim Sherwood.
62'
M. Veljković enters the game and replaces Sandro.
61'
HALF CHANCE: Villa win a free-kick near the left touchline. Westwood's delivery is sublime, but it drift just over the head of the leaping Vlaar and out for a goal kick.
59'
STAT ATTACK: Tottenham have netted 14 goals in their last three home games, though they haven't kept a clean sheet at White Hart Lane in over two months (1-0 v Cardiff, 2 March).
57'
SO CLOSE! Delph goes so close with the away side's best moment of the game so far. Agbonlahor chest the ball down for the midfielder to lash just wide of Lloris' post. It was a low shot that had the Frenchman beaten!
56'
ELSEWHERE: Juan Mata has just equalised for Manchester United away to Southampton as the Red Devils now pull four points away from Spurs in the race for Europe.
54'
Chiriches goes in high on Westwood, and it is lucky that he made no contact with the Villa youngster as his studs were showing! Referee Jonathan Moss sees this and warns the Romanian who saw nothing wrong with it!
52'
Christian Eriksen, who has definitely been the outstanding performer for Spurs this season, sizes up a free-kick on the left flank. His deadball searches for Dawson in the box, but Vlaar gets across and headers away.
50'
ELESWHERE: Vincent Kompany has doubled Man City's lead over West Ham as they go five points clear of Liverpool, who are still losing at home to Newcastle after a Martin Skrtel own goal.
48'
It looks as though Villa are looking to contain anymore threats from a composed Spurs side as El Ahmadi is introduced to shore up the midfield, but the hosts are knocking it around like it is a pre-season friendly at the moment.
46'
K. El Ahmadi enters the game and replaces J. Bowery.
Tottenham get us back underway, kicking from left to right.
45' +1
There will be TWO minutes of added on time.
45'
GREAT SAVE! Guzan has pulled off a worldy here and enjoys a wrm round of applause from the home support for his efforts. Dawson got up to a lingering high ball in the box and powered a header towards goal, only for the keeper to tip it wide of the post!
44'
Even Delph is trackin back for Villa now as his defense goes walkabouts and Kane is let loose down the left. The midfielder wins out in the end but concedes a corner.
43'
The freedom and space that the hosts have to move in will be seen as criminal by Paul Lambert. His side jsut have not turned up today so far and it will take an incredible effort to turn this one around now!
40'
STAT ATTACK: Villa have not beaten Tottenham in the league in their last 10 attempts, since a 2-1 win in north London in September 2008. They have only won twice at White Hart Lane in the last 14 years.
38'
Penalty goal scored by E. Adebayor for Tottenham Hotspur!
GOAL! Adebayor steps up, cool as you like and smashes the penalty into the roof of the net! Spurs are three goals to the good!
PENALTY! Eriksen is the architect again and he sets it up for Sandro on the edge of the area, who shapes a shot. His effort is heading for Guxan's left hand post but it hits the arm of Agbonlahor! Cries of a penalty echo around White Hart Lane and Jonathan Moss agrees and points to the spot!
35'
N. Baker is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
GOAL! It's disaster for Nathan Baker as he turns the ball into his own net to give the hosts another goal! Eriksen kept the ball in play but his cross is cleared. Rose does well to control it and drives a fierce cross in towards Adebayor but it hits the Villa defender and flies past Guzan!
34'
There have been nerves in the Spurs back four all season long and they are on show again as Chiriches gifts the ball to Delph. He tracks back and wins possession off Weinmann near the touchline but it could have been worse for the Romanian.
32'
Westwood is holding his head after being hurt in a challenge with Rose but the referee is happy to let play go on. A good ball from the right from Naughton is cut out by Vlaar as the hosts are back in possession.
30'
AS IT STANDS: Elsewhere, a Martin Skrtel own goal has put Newcastle up front against Liverpool and handed the title advantage to Man City, who are still level at home to West Ham. In the race for Europe, a Rickie Lambert goal has put Southampton ahead at home to Manchester United so Spurs are currently six points clear of their rivals for sixth place.
28'
BLOCKED! Bacuna picks up a fine ball from Delph and lashes a shot on goal, but Rose is there to get between the midfielder and the goal and protect his keeper. He might feel that on his shins for the rest of the half!
26'
STAT ATTACK: The Villans have also not won away from home in their last eight attempts, since beating Sunderland 1-0 on New Year's Day.
24'
Villa have woken up here as Weinmann puts a tasty looking ball into the box for Delph but his cross is too high and heavy and goes out for a throw in. They away side are certainly looking like posing a threat after a tepid opening 15 minutes from Paul Lambert's men.
22'
Bacuna wriggles free of Chiriches' intentions just outside the box. Rose plays a dodgy backpass to Lloris who slips as he kicks it! The Frenchman manages to put it out for a throw in but the Tottenham bakc four were dicing with danger there!
20'
STAT ATTACK: The North Londoners have scored seven goals in all competitions against Villa this season. The Midlands side have failed to find the net in all three fixtures they have played against Spurs.
18'
Kane holds the play up on the left-hand-side of the box and waits for support. He shapes the ball on his right foot and puts a good ball in, but the Villans allow it to drift out to satety for a goal kick.
16'
SO CLOSE! Bertrand fails to halt Naughton on the right but the defender finds Paulinho again and the goalscorer is free in the centre again but his shot is scuffed wide. Spurs on on fire this afternoon!
14'
Paulinho has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur!
GOAL! We have our first goal of the afternoon and it goes to the hosts! Sigurdsson slots Paulinho through on goal and his low shot is saved by the diving Guzan. but the Brazilian picks up the rebound and slots it into the empty net. Spurs are in control in the race for Europe!
13'
Now it is Villa who are pressing and looking to impose themselves on this game. Bacuna and Westwood combine to give Rose problems on the right-hand-side but the young left-back does well to cut them out.
11'
GREAT SAVE! Guzan gets down well to palm Kane's close range effort away from danger. The ball finds Eriksen, who squares it to Rose but his shot sails well over the bar.
9'
The hosts are knocking it aorund nicely with a fast tempo and the Villans are finding it hard to contain them. Kane is causing the back four problems and Adebayor is dropping deep to assist the midfield as Agbonlahor continues to look isolated.
8'
Agbonlahor show his pace to run onto a through ball but he is second favourite to Dawson, who just gets there to put it out for a throw in.
6'
GREAT CHANCE! Spurs are purring as some nice link play from Eriksen and Sigurdsson leads to Adebayor picking the ball up on the left and putting a superb cross into the back post. Kane rises above Vlaar but his header is tame and caught by Guzan.
5'
STAT ATTACK: Top scorer Emmanuel Adebayor (13 goals) has failed to find the net in over a month, or 364 minutes, since scoring Tottenham's fourth against Sunderland on 7 April.
3'
We are in the opening exchanges here but it is the away side who are under the kosh. Adebayor was put through on goal by a brilliant pass from Kane but Guzan was out to smother the ball.
1'
Our match referee Jonathan Moss blows his whistle as Villa get us underrway, kicking from left to right.
Hello and welcome to our coverage of the final day of the Premier League season. My name is Hayden Gribble and I shall be bringing you all of the action and drama from White Hart Lane for this match between Tottenham and Fulham. The team news is on its way...
Despite making some comments in the Brazilian press regarding the future of his manager, Sandro starts for Spurs in place of Aaron Lennon. Younes Kaboul is suspended after his red card in the defeat to West Ham last time out so Vlad Chiriches comes in as the North Londoners look to end the season on a high as a win today will see Tim Sherwood’s men qualify for Europe for the fourth season running.
PRE MATCH STAT ATTACK: Spurs emerged triumphant with a 2-0 at Villa Park in October in the reverse fixture earlier this season thanks to goals from Roberto Soldado and Andros Townsend.
Is this the final game time we shall see Sherwood and Lambert in charge of their respective clubs? Both bosses have been under intense pressure in recent months after both sides have endured disappointing seasons under their guidance. It could be a summer of change at both clubs thats for sure.
Aston Villa (4-5-1): Guzan, Lowton, Vlaar, Baker, Bertrand, Bacuna, Westwood, Delph, Weimann, Bowery, Agbonlahor.
Subs: Steer, Sylla, Holt, Robinson, Grealish, Grealish, Clark, El Ahmadi.
As for the Villans who were thumped 4-0 by Man City in midweek, Paul Lambert is boosted by the return of Leandro Bacuna and Gabriel Agbonlahor to the side after the Midlands side guaranteed survival last weekend with an impressive 3-1 win over FA Cup finalists Hull. If they win today they will halt Tottenham’s European hopes and allow Manchester United a chance to pip the Lilywhites to sixth.
TEN MINUTES TO KICK OFF! The ground is filling up nicely here and the players have retreated back down the tunnel to the dressing room as we await the off here.
Both line-ups are out of the tunnel to a chorus of cheers at White Hart Lane...who will come out on top in this one?
FULL TIME: TOTTENHAM 3-0 ASTON VILLA. It was a stroll in the park for the North London side this afternoon as first half goals from Paulinho, an own goal from Nathan Baker and a penalty from Emmanuel Adebayor sealed Spurs' place in the top six and Euroopa League next season. Villa were woeful from beginning to end and contributed to their downfall with a lack of impotus and guile and were outclassed by their opponents.
Well...what a season that was. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed covering it. I have been Hayden Gribble and I hope that you have a great summer..now, onwards to Rio and the World Cup! See you soon!
The electronic board that the fourth official uses has broken and he has resorted to the use of numbers on cards, I love a retro touch to my football!
HALF TIME - TOTTENHAM 3-0 ASTON VILLA. It has been a comprehensive first half performance from Spurs who have dominated a poor Villa side in the opening half. Paulinho opened the scoring after having a second bite of the cherry after a good save from Guzan and then Baker diverted a Rose ball into his own net, before Adebayor slotted home a penalty after a handball from Agbonlahor in the box. More to come in the second half!
Both teams are back out on the pitch. Will it be as easy for the hosts as it was in the opening 45? Or will Villa snatch a goal back and put the cat amongst the pigeons? We are about to find out!
