ONE ON ONE! Paulinho picks the ball up and pierces the Stoke defence. He has the whole of the goal to aim at but his shot is saved well by Begovic!
90' +3
Mark Hughes has his head in his hands as a sloppy ball from Cameron goes out into touch. It looks like this might just be Tottenham's day.
90' +2
M. Arnautović gets yellow.
90' +1
CHANCE! Kaboul is upended but continues to push forward and pulls the ball across goal but there is no one in the six-yard-box to make a decisive touch. So close to a second!
90'
There will be FOUR minutes of added on time.
88'
SAVE! Nzonzi spots the space and shoots but Lloris is equal to it. The away side have been very poor since going in front. You'd have thought they were the team who had gone down to ten men!
86'
PENALTY SHOUT! Dawson comes in on Pieters like a train and catches the player instead of the ball! Andre Marriner says no penalty, much to the frustration of Mark Hughes and the Britannia faithful. Meanwhile Townsend is still hobbling here but is eager to stay on the pitch as Spurs have used all of their substitutions.
84'
STAT ATTACK: Spurs are without a clean sheet in their last seven Premier League matches.
82'
Townsend may have only been on for a few minutes but he has found himself in the action as he comes off second best in a challenge with Muniesa. The England International receives treatment on the sidelines.
80'
Spurs have looked poor since they went ahead and they are doing little to satisfy Tim Sherwood in the dugout. Sigurdsson wins possession on the area but his shot is tame and goes out for a goal kick.
Minute
Description
79'
SO CLOSE! The Dane has had a poor second half, but is deadly from these situations. He strikes it hard and high and it keeps rising past the crossbar.
78'
A. Townsend enters the game and replaces A. Lennon.
Whelan looks a little dejected after fouling Sigurdsson about 25 yards out. Eriksen will line the free-kick up...
76'
STAT ATTACK: Only the current Premier League top five have a better home record than Stoke this season, with three quarters of their points having been earned at the Britannia Stadium.
74'
Sigurdsson clips Odemwingie and the referee blows his whistle for a free-kick to the home side. Arnautovic goes for glory when he should look to swing a cross in and he blasts it straight into the wall.
73'
G. Sigurðsson enters the game and replaces N. Chadli.
72'
DOUBLE CHANCE! They are slipping an sliding out there like it is a swimmimg pool out there as we have more rainfall. Lennon puts a good cross in looking for Adebayor before Kane heads over after a decent cross from Eriksen.
70'
GOOD SAVE! Pieters shoots low from the right hand side and the ball moves awkwardly in the air for Lloris, who uses his legs to put it out for a corner.
69'
Z. Fryers enters the game and replaces D. Rose.
67'
The crossing from the Lilywhites has been so poor in this half. Again it is Rose at the heart of the action who puts a swinging ball into the box but it eludes Adebayor.
65'
D. Rose gets yellow.
It looks like Rose has boiled over as he pushes Cameron after a poor challenge from the defender. Andre Marriner produces the yellow card but he needs to calm down otherwise next time it might be red!
63'
BIG, BIG CHANCE FOR THE POTTERS! Odemwingie should have levelled this. The striker rises high to meet a brilliant cross on the left but sends his bullet header into the stands from six yards.
62'
Rose is getting so much stick from the Stoke fans as he goes over to take a throw-in and it is so undeserved. The full-back looks sheepish but it was a blatant foul. The visitors need to put this game to bed and put some clear distance between themselves and their hosts.
60'
O. Assaidi enters the game and replaces P. Crouch.
Naughton bombs forward and puts a good ball into the box but there is a lack of Spurs bodies in the area to trouble Begovic and Wilson clears.
58'
WIDE! Stoke are reacting on the pitch as well as on the sidelines to that sending off as Crouch fails to hit the target after the ball bounces off the diving Dawson.
56'
STAT ATTACK: That was the sixth red card in the last twelve meetings between these two sides! Bad blood much?
55'
E. Pieters enters the game and replaces S. Ireland.
54'
The Potters' fans are incensed after that decision - as is Mark Hughes. But the simple fact is that you cannot go in high on a player when you are on a yellow card. Rightly deserved, but it won't stop the booing at the Britannia.
53'
RED CARD! Shawcross is given his marching order after catching Rose with a high foot. Referee Andre Marriner had a good long look of it before sending the captain off.
52'
R. Shawcross gets a second yellow card and is sent off.
51'
STAT ATTACK: The Potters have won their last four home league games - they have never won five consecutive Premier League home matches.
49'
OUCH! Rose is in trouble as he goes in for a tackle with Odemwingie but as he goes to ground and the striker comes back down after jumping, the boot of the former West Brom man catches the left-back on the head. He will be feeling that for a bit.
47'
EARLY CHANCE! Kane puts Eriksen through who bears down on goal, but his shot is blocked as Spurs threaten early on here.
46'
There are no changes for either side as Stoke get us back underway, kicking from right to left.
45' +2
BLOCKED! Harry Kane should take the shot early but he holds it up before aiming low but Shawcross slides in to dispell the chance.
45'
R. Shawcross gets yellow.
There will be ONE minute of added on time.
44'
K. Naughton gets yellow.
43'
STAT ATTACK: Tim Sherwood has the best win percentage of any Tottenham manager in the Premier League (58%).
41'
The Britannia Stadium is blowing a gail as the rain begins to cascade down. Paulinho's searching cross is blown out of play and behind for a goal kick.
38'
OFF THE BALL HILARITY - Adebayor wants the ball back quickly after it goes out for a throw-in. As the striker went to retrieve the ball, substitute Charlie Adam blocks him from getting the ball! That won't make him anymore popular with the travelling faithful than he already is!
37'
The Spurs side are looking settled and established on the ball and are dealing with everything the Potters are throwing at them at the moment. Lloris had had a relatively quiet afternoon so far...will that change?
35'
It looks like we may have seen the last of Chadli today as the Belgian International goes down after what looks like an off the ball incident. He is off the pitch and getting treatment as Stoke continue to press...
33'
D. Rose has scored a goal for Tottenham Hotspur! Assist by E. Adebayor.
GOAL! Tottenham make the breakthrough and it comes from the unlikeliest of players! Adebayor turns into space in the box and finds Rose, who is up from the left-back position to send a bullet header flying past Begovic and into the net.
30'
OUCH! Kaboul goes in to clear a pass that is meant for Odemwingie, but the Frenchman has to turn and protect himself as the stirker clatters into the defender.
28'
GREAT TACKLE! Rose tries to pick out Adebayor in the middle but his cross runs long to Lennon, who wants to take Muniesa to the byline, but the defender halts the winger in his tracks.
27'
WIDE! Ireland dribbles forward with the ball at his feet and lashes a shot across goal and it sails just wide of the despairing dive of Lloris. That wasn't far away from our opener in this game.
26'
Paulinho sees the space and runs into the left channel to pick a great pass up from Eriksen. The Brazilian's cross to Adebayor is perfect but Shawcross does enough to ensure the striker does not get his header on target.
24'
The atmosphere has died down a little here as the game is finding it's rhythm. Nzonzi is in the thick of it again as he sends a warning shot across Tottenham's bows. A goal will well and truly spark this game into life.
23'
SAVE! The Danish International's effort is on target but plucked out of the air by Begovic. All it needed was a touch from one of the Spurs players in the box and the visitors would be ahead.
22'
Rose wins a cheap free-kick after being fouled by Cameron on the left. This is in Eriksen territory...
20'
CHANCE! Lloris comes scrambling off his line as a header from Nzonzi hangs in the air above Crouch, but the Frenchman leaps high and palms the ball away from danger and smothers the ball.
18'
WELL WIDE! Nzonzi picks the ball up and drives forward a few yards before seeing the headlines and trying a long range shot, but his radar is off and it sails well wide of Lloris' post.
17'
Chadli sells Eriksen a little short in the middle of the park and the danger is snuffed out by Whelan, who makes a brilliant sliding interception. Both sides are looking hungry.
15'
BLOCKED! Whelan finds Ireland in acres of space on the edge of the box and as the midfielder brings the ball down his shot is crowded out by the alert Kaboul.
13'
CHANCE! The Potters are beginning to see more of the ball as Odemwingie's effort is blocked by Kaboul from the edge of the box. That'll spark the home fans into life!
11'
Great intervention from Dawson as he deals with Cameron's right footed cross with Crouch lurking at the back post. The visitors' defence looks stronger and more confident with the captain back from injury.
10'
STAT ATTACK: Only Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool have a better away record than Tottenham this season (30 points).
8'
CROSS/SHOT! Lennon picks the short corner up on the right hand side and cuts onto his left foot, blasting a shot towards the top corner, that Begovic scrambles to clear for another corner. It looked like the winger really meant to swing that in to his strikers but it is all Tottenham early on.
7'
Wilson concedes a corner after Spurs win possession roughly 30 yards out. Paulinho slips Lennon in but he is tracked by the left-back as the hosts concede an early corner.
5'
EARLY CONTROVERSY: Ryan Shawcross appears to be hurt after a collison with Adebayor. As the defender receives treatment, the replay shows that the Togo International caught his marker in the face with his arm. It all came as the pair battled to reach a throw-in for the visitors but there was definitely contact.
3'
The away support blast out an encouraging rendition of 'When The Spurs Go Marching In' as their team probes the Stoke defence early on.
1'
The referee blows his whistle and the game gets underway, with Spurs kicking from right to left.
Hello! Welcome to our coverage of this Premier League game between mid table Stoke and European challengers Tottenham. My name is Hayden Gribble and I shall be taking you through all the action as these two sides look to make a strong end to the season. The team news is coming right up...
The Potters’ boss Mark Hughes makes just one change to his side as Marc Muniesa comes in for defender Erik Pieters. Peter Crouch takes his place up front against his former side whilst Charlie Adam, who has a history against Spurs, is left on the bench.
For the visitors, beleaguered boss Tim Sherwood also makes just one change to the side who beat Fulham last time out with club captain Michael Dawson taking his place alongside Younes Kaboul at the back after a spell on the sidelines through injury. Zeki Fryers is the man who makes way. Harry Kane – who has three goals in his last three Premier League games – starts again up front with Emmanuel Adebayor.
PRE MATCH STAT ATTACK: Stoke are four points shy of a club record tally in the Premier League and are eyeing their first-ever top-10 finish in the competition (previous best is 11th in 2009-10).
Although it is not mathematically out of the question, the North London side look like they will fall short of their top four target, with yet another season of upheaval surrounding the club. The news that Netherlands' coach Louis Van Gaal looks set to choose Man United over the Lilywhites has led fans to vent further frustration at chairman Daniel Levy over the way the club is run. But consider this, Spurs fans. If your team wins their last three games this season, they will equal their record PL points tally of 72.
TEN MINUTES TO GO! Both teams have finished their warm up and jog back down the tunnel at the Britannia Stadium. kick-off is not far away now...and both teams should be up for this.
The players are making their way out onto the pitch, led by referee Andre Marriner. Mark Hughes and Tim Sherwood shake hands and make their way to their respective dugouts.
HALF TIME - STOKE 0-1 TOTTENHAM. Danny Rose's far post header remains the difference between these two sides at the break but it could have been more as Kane wasted a glorious chance at the end of the half. For the hosts, Ireland and Nzonzi have fired wide but apart from that they have done little to threaten. More to come after the break!
The rain didn't last long and has given way to bright, summer sunshine. Let's hope we have sunshine football in the second half!
FULL TIME: STOKE 0-1 TOTTENHAM. The visitors have got away with all three points in a hostile and frustrated Britannia Stadium. Danny Rose was in the thick of the action, scoring a great header in the first half but then being booed for his incolvement in Shawcross' sending off. It was the right decision but the fans boos got to the left-back, who was then booed and eventually withdrawn after a push out in frustration. The Potters did everything but score as Spurs hung on for all three points.
Well...that was eventful, wasn't it!? Thank you for joining me this afternoon. I have been Hayden Gribble and I hope that you have a fantastic weekend, whatever your team's result.
