Illarramendi enters the game and replaces L. Modrić.
Three minutes of stoppage time remaining. There's time for one more big chance here, but will it fall to Malaga?
89'
Ancelotti is attempting to stifle the ascendancy and tempo of Malaga by making a slightly defensive change of his own. Modric makes his way slowly off the pitch to be replaced by Asier Illarramendi, who'll slot in deep next to Xabi Alonso.
87'
Schuster is going for this now! Striker, Mounir El Hamdaoui, comes on to replace defender, Angeleri. Fair play to the former Real Madrid manager, who's going all-out to get something from this! Time running out, though!
86'
M. El Hamdaoui enters the game and replaces M. Angeleri.
85'
The latest entry of the Ronaldo versus Caballero saga sees the Ballon d'OR winner glide past the challenge of Sergio Sanchez in the middle of the park before once again cutting inside and powering a low shot at goal. It's another minor victory for the Malaga keeper though, as he gets down to make the comfortable block.
83'
Ohhh so nearly for Santa Cruz! Duda whips in a free kick from the right-hand side and the Paraguayan looks poised to head at goal, but the ball is just taken off his head by Pepe, who node behind! Another corner to Malaga! The crowd are really getting behind their players now!
81'
Malaga are on the ascendancy here! The La Rosaleda crowd are sensing that Madrid are looking a little uneasy at the back now and are getting behind their team with some support. Just under 10 minutes to go, can they grab a point?!
79'
Ronaldo looks to be stepping up his efforts to double his tally here. His next attempt sees a swift jink past Camacho before a drilled strike at goal from 25 yards, but it's too central to give Caballero much of a problem. The Malaga keeper makes the save.
77'
It's not often at all you say this but this has been a very quiet game for Xabi Alonso and Modric in midfield. They're usually dictating the play from ease in central areas, but they just haven't saw as much of the ball as usual tonight.
75'
Sergio Sancheeeeezzz!!! Just over! Some head-tennis inside the Real Madrid box from both sides eventually see the ball fall perfectly for the defender, who meets it to lash left-footed volley at goal, but he just sliced his attempt too much and it goes whizzing past the left-hand post! The chance just fell to the wrong man for Malaga!

Description
73'
Bale looks to get in between Antunes to latch on to a ball over the top, but the left-back just manages to stretch up to get his head on it, which sees it through to Caballero. If he didn't get a touch on that, the Welshman was through.
71'
Duda initially does brilliantly to burst in between Modric and Xabi Alonso and then finds himself with two or three opportunities to pick out a pass. He decides Santa Cruz is the best option but the eventual ball to the Paraguayan lacks conviction and Madrid manage to intercept.
69'
Just over 20 minutes to go here in La Rosaleda. The threat of Madrid is still present but they haven't been as effective in the final third as they were in the first half. If Malaga decide to have a real go here, they may get some joy.
68'
Portillo enters the game and replaces F. Tissone.
O. Yakovenko enters the game and replaces Samu.
67'
Malaga make their first alterations as Tissone and Samu are replaced in midfield by Francisco Portillo and on-loan Fiorentina man, Oleksandr Yakovenko.
65'
Ronaldo picks up the ball on the left-hand side and goes on a signature driving run into the box. He takes on one, two, three defenders but just as he makes his way into the penalty area, takes a poor touch which allows Malaga to clear. The Portuguese nearly bulldozed his way all the way through to goal!
63'
Jesé enters the game and replaces Isco.
Carlo Ancelotti makes his second change of the match as Jese comes on to replace Isco, who's given a very warm reception by the Malaga fans as he leaves the field. Fair play to the home support, that was classy.
61'
Duda gets yellow.
Well, it's a bit of a bizarre situation here. Pepe goes in horribly, terribly late on Duda and rakes his studs down the knee of the Malaga man, but it's the former who gets a yellow card as he protests to the referee about the vicious nature of the tackle. Unbelievable.
59'
Ohhh that's really unlucky from Samu! He drifts into a position just in front of the Madrid defence and almost pull of an eye-of-the-needle pass through to Santa Cruz, but he move was thwarted by the out-stretched leg of Varane.
57'
Great defending from Flavio. Carvajal gets into an advanced position down the right-hand side and exchanges a one-two with Di Maria before bursting into the box, but he's well marshaled by the Malaga defender, who eases the ball out for a goal kick.
55'
Santa Cruz initially does brilliantly to get beyond the Madrid midfield with a strong run down the middle, but he the goes down looking for a cheap free kick after a challenge from Di Maria. The Paraguayan didn't have the legs to continue forward and penetrate the defence.
53'
Amrabat receives the ball to feet in the inside left channel and shifts the ball on to his right foot before stinging the gloves of Diego Lopez with a strike from 25 yards. Unlucky. Schuster should be telling his players to get the ball to the Moroccan.
52'
The Malaga fans loved that one!
51'
ISCOOOOO! A COMPLETE SITTER! Di Maria goes on a sensational run through the middle and takes on two or three players before threading a pass through to the former Malaga man. He has all the time in the world to pick a spot and score, but blazes a strike a yard over the bar from 16 yards!
49'
Good work by Di Maria. Duda looks at the ball falling out the sky and fancies his chances with a volley, but the Argentine just comes in at the last minute to take the ball away from the foot of the Malaga captain!
47'
Samuuuuu! Another shot on target for Malaga! The 23-year-old gets the better of Marcelo down the right-hand side before lashing a long range shot towards Diego Lopez, but the Madrid keeper gets his body behind the ball to make the stop.
46'
We are back under way in Andalusia!
44'
RONALDOOOOO! Just wide! Di Maria picks out his team-mate with an absolutely sensational volleyed cross into the box, and, although the Portuguese beats the defender in the air, sends his header the wrong side of the post!
42'
Ronaldo spreads the play out wide with a lovely pass to Carvajal but the former Leverkusen man's touch lets him down poorly and allows Antunes to come and make the challenge. Malaga counterattack down the left...
40'
The La Rosaleda faithful are liking the attitude and determination of their side at the moment. Nobody more so than Amrabat is getting appreciation, who looks to be the man most likely to make something happen for the hosts.
38'
Much, much better from Malaga! Amrabat is the man behind the creativity once again as he speeds past Pepe down the left-hand side before cutting back and whipping a cross into the box. Samu looks to drift in for a header but Marcelo puts in behind for a corner!
36'
Some Malaga fans get out of their seats after a clash in the box between Sergio Sanchez and Pepe after a corner kick, but there was nothing in it from either player really. Never a penalty.
34'
Di Maria gets the better of Angeleri down the left-hand side and whips a teasing cross along the six yard box, but Caballero is proactive in his goalkeeping and dashes off his line to claim the ball.
32'
Á. Di María enters the game and replaces K. Benzema.
First change of the match from Madrid, and it is indeed Benzema who comes off. He'll be replaced by Di Maria, who recently spoke out this week and said he didn't want to feature tonight as he fears receiving a booking which would make him miss the Clasico next week. Ancelotti isn't sympathetic to this, though, and sticks the Argentine on.
31'
Amrabaaaat! The Moroccan latches on to a loose ball on the edge of the box and hits a bouncing half volley towards the bottom corner, but it's easy enough for Diego Lopez to gather.
29'
Well, that just shows you what I know, as Benzema is going to have to be replaced. The Frenchman just signals to the bench that he wont be able to continue.
27'
Conversely, it actually looks as if Benzema has came off worse as he's just at the sidelines receiving treatment for a thigh injury. Again, it doesn't look too serious though, and he'll probably be back on shortly.
26'
Ronaldo took a pretty nasty clash to shin by his own player, Benzema, during that move, but he's managed to get up and looks okay to continue.
25'
Ronaldooooo! He nearly doubles his tally! The ball is floated to the back post and Bale reverses it across the pass with a lovely controlled volley. Benzema and Ronaldo both fancy it but the Portuguese ends up slicing his strike wide! They just got in each other's way!
24'
Ronaldo has scored more goals against Malaga than any other Spanish Primera Division club, so that was a near-certainty!
23'
Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a goal for Real Madrid! Assist by G. Bale.
GOOOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLL FOR REAL MADRID!! GUESS WHO?! RONALDO!! The former Manchester United receives the ball on the left of the box and skips pas the challenges of Camacho and Angeleri before lashing a strike into the bottom right corner! Brilliant! One-nil!
21'
Amrabat, who has been everywhere in the first 20 minutes, pops up this time on the left wing and bursts inside before looking to exchange a one-two with Santa Cruz, but the return pass from the Paraguayan lacks quality and goes out for a goal kick.
19'
Antunes gets yellow.
Antunes is the first player to go into the book and it's a deserved one as the Malaga left-back cynically clips the heels of Bale after the Welshman had skinned him down the wing, Free kick to Madrid.
17'
That's wild from Angeleri. A Malaga corner kick is cleared up to near the halfway line, and the right-back looks to send the ball back into the danger area with a half-volley, but he fluffs his lines and is very fortunate in the end that Madrid don't take advantage.
16'
Modric looks to find Xabi Alonso but a rare miscommunication between the duo allows Samu to make the interception on the left-hand side, which allows Malaga to counterattack!
14'
Really good communication between Pepe and Diego Lopez. Samu lashed a cross along the six yard box and the Portuguese was struggling to clear, but he heard a massive shout by his keeper who manages to come out and collect.
12'
Isco and Ronaldo link up just inside the Malaga box and the ball eventually comes to the Portuguese, who skips past a couple of challenges before squeezing in a shot at goal. It goes straight down the throat of Caballero, though.
11'
Nearly for Malaga! Amrabat bursts down the right wing and looks for the onrushing Santa Cruz at the back post, but the pass just lacks a little pace which allows Diego Lopez to come out and make the claim.
10'
Ohhh that's a terrible waste. Duda takes the resulting set-piece from the left wing but floats it harmlessly into the side-netting, letting Madrid off the hook.
9'
Samu looks to break down the wing but buys a cheap free kick out of Carvajal. The Madrid man didn't need to make that challenge at all, his opponent was going nowhere!
8'
Antuneeeeessss! Just over! Malaga pop the ball around confidently in the final third and it eventually comes to the left-back who lashes a strike at goal, but his attempt goes just north of the crossbar!
7'
Isco moves the play forward down the middle and looks to shift the ball back on to his right foot but Tissone keeps his eye on the ball and snatches the ball away from the foot of the Madrid man. Good defending.
5'
PENALTY SHOUT FOR MADRID! Bale takes the ball down inside the box and looks to cut in on his right foot but goes down under the challenge of Angeleri! That looked a clear foul, but the ref waves play on!
4'
Modric floats in a free kick from the right-hand side and it's just too high for Pepe. Isco, who faces his former club tonight, manages to salvage the attack on the left wing, and eventually plays back inside to Xabi Alonso.
3'
Amrabat collects possession on the left and drifts inside before going down under the challenge of Marcelo, but he went down far too easily and the referee waves play on.
2'
Just looking at the way Madrid are structured in the opening stages, it does actually seem as if they have continued with their 4-3-3 formation instead of the 4-2-3-1. Isco sitting just a little deeper than usual.

We are under way in Malaga!
Good evening folks! Welcome to LIVE coverage of the Spanish Primera Division clash between Malaga and Real Madrid from La Rosaleda!
I'm Martin Macdonald, and it's my pleasure to take you through the action!
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Diego Lopez; Carvajal, Pepe, Varane, Marcelo; Modric, Xabi Alonso; Bale, Isco, Cristiano; Benzema.
Los Blancos have been potent with their 4-3-3 formation in recent months, but Carlo Ancelotti has reverted back to the 4-2-3-1 system this evening, with Isco coming in for Angel Di Maria in midfield. There's a required change at the back too with Sergio Ramos out suspended, so Pepe returns to the first XI to partner Raphael Varane.
Madrid do continue to stick with the trio of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema though, who have contributed eight goals in the past five matches between them.
Bernd Schuster's plight to gain some points against former club have been hurt with a few absentees to the first team squad. Jesus Gamez and Sergi Darder are suspended, with Eliseu, Weligton, and Mounir El Hamdaoui all suffering from injuries.
The highs of Malaga's season under Manuel Pellegrini last year which saw them reach the quarter-finals of the Champions League have contrasted massively with the current campaign, which sees Los Boquerones sitting precariously three points above the relegation zone.
The previous match between the sides came earlier in the season at Santiago Bernabeu. Di Maria and Ronaldo were both on target in a comfortable 2-0 win for Los Blancos.
However, Malaga can take heart from the fact that just last season they recorded their first win over Madrid since 1999. Isco, now plying his trade in the capital, opened the scoring, with a Roque Santa Cruz double sealing the 3-2 win.
Half time in Malaga. Madrid go into the break with a 1-0 lead over Malaga thanks to a superb finish from Cristiano Ronaldo. Schuster's men have certainly rode their luck at times at the back but they've certainly gone about their business well, and are no means out of this!
Full time in Andalusia! It's been by no means a typical Real Madrid performance here, but Los Blancos extend their lead at the top of the table by six points thanks to a narrow 1-0 win over Malaga at La Rosaleda. Cristiano Ronaldo the match winner once again. Bernd Schuster's men can be proud of their attitude and performance, but it's Carlo Ancelotti's men who claim all three points! I'm Martin Macdonald, thanks for joining us, see you next time!
