The final whistle is blown. Newcastle's excellent run of form continues into mid-winter.
90' +2
Puncheon has a chance to throw in a cross from a set piece. He picks out Ward with a deep cross but the versatile defender cannot get any direction on that one. Goal kick.
90'
Delaney has a pop from distance but his effort lacks power and direction and Krul gathers easily. Four minutes of stoppage time to be played.
88'
Tiote slips a raking pass through to Sissoko but Palace recover to clear the danger. The Eagles have taken an absolute beating today.
86'
Penalty goal scored by H. Ben Arfa for Newcastle United!
PENALTY TO NEWCASTLE! Parr brings down Ameobi with a late challenge in the box. Ben Arfa steps up to belt the resulting spot-kick into the net.
85'
CHANCE! Ameobi just fails to apply the finishing touch to a fizzed cross from Ben Arfa. How the scoreline is still only 2-0 is beyond me.
83'
M. Chamakh gets yellow.
Chamakh is the first Palace player into the book for an unnecessary challenge on Coloccini - and it is an expensive transgression too as it means the striker will sit out the Boxing Day trip to Aston Villa through suspension.
81'
Ben Arfa is in the mood here as he skips and turns in the Palace box to fire a venomous effort towards goal that Speroni does well to keep out.
80'
GOUFFRAN HITS THE BAR! Ben Arfa is straight into the action, slaloming past a couple of defenders before squaring for Gouffran, who crashes an effort into the crossbar.
79'
H. Ben Arfa enters the game and replaces Y. Cabaye.

77'
D. Gayle enters the game and replaces C. Jerome.
76'
Palace make one final change with Dwight Gayle on for Jerome. Last throw of the dice from Tony Pulis.
75'

74'
Palace are indignant after Tiote's lunging tackle on Parr goes unpunished by the referee. Meanwhile, Newcastle bring on Shola Ameobi for Remy.
72'
Palace work themselves into a good position after some neat passing but Delaney strays into an offside position and the move breaks down.
70'
CLOSE! Cabaye has a go from distance but his effort squirms wide of Speroni's far post.
68'
HOW DID HE MISS THAT?! A completely free Jerome blazes over from six-yards out after Jedinak does well to find him with a cushioned header. Terrible, terrible miss.
67'
F. Coloccini gets yellow.
Coloccini into the book now for a high challenge on Chamakh. Decent set-piece opportunity for Palace...
65'
Tiote is the first to go into the book for a clumsy challenge on Joel Ward.
64'
C. Tioté gets yellow.
This is more like it from the home side. Mariappa and Bolasie combine to find Chamakh with a searching cross but the Moroccan striker cannot keep his header on target.
62'
Good work from Remy on the left flank ends with an Anita effort from long range that is blocked.
60'
Mike Williamson is off the pitch to receive treatment for a head wound. Newcastle are down to 10-men for the moment.
58'
Debuchy is in an offside position after Cheick Tiote plays the ball back to the defender from a throw-in deep in the Palace half.
56'
GREAT SAVE! Speroni gets down well to palm away a drilled free-kick from Cabaye.
55'
Sissoko shows good footwork to beat Delaney before the Ireland defender brings him down to concede a foul.
53'
The Eagles are looking to muscle their way back into the game. Puncheon has a shot blocked by a Newcastle defender and the home side appeal for a penalty but the referee is unmoved.
51'
Jerome gamely chases a Jason Puncheon pass but the winger overhits that one. Palace have scored just 11 goals in the league this season - fewer than any other team.
49'
Newcastle pick up from where they left off as they put Palace under pressure with back-to-back corners. Nothing comes off them, however, as Cabaye plays his set-piece straight into the arms of Speroni.
47'
The home side have made a couple of changes to shore up their defence with Jonathan Parr and Yannick Bolasie on for Dean Moxey and Bannan.
46'
J. Parr enters the game and replaces D. Moxey.
Y. Bolasie enters the game and replaces B. Bannan.
Palace get us underway in the second half.
45' +1
Half-time whistle goes at Selhurst Park. Newcastle are halfway towards picking up a precious three points.
45'
The Palace box is getting bombarded with crosses by the Newcastle full-backs. The home side need to see out this period of pressure and get to half-time without taking further damage.
43'
Newcastle are in complete control now and are passing the ball about with swagger. They have enjoyed 70 per cent of the possession so far.

39'
D. Gabbidon is unfortunate, scores an own goal!
Oh dear. Debuchy again with plenty of space to fire in a delicious cross from the right and Danny Gabbidon can only divert the ball into his own net. Newcastle are rampant.
37'
Mariappa chases down a lost cause and nearly pressures Coloccini into conceding a corner. Good stuff from the full-back.
35'
Newcastle force another corner. Cabaye's set-piece delivery is poor, though, falling straight into the grateful arms of Speroni.
33'
Santon looks to find Remy with an early cross but the French striker is adjudged to be in an offside position.
31'
Good response this from Palace. A succession of corners puts Krul under pressure and the Dutch keeper makes a grave error as he misses Bannan's set-piece entirely. The ball falls to a Newcastle player, luckily, and the visitors survive that moment.
29'
Palace launch a quick counterattack after Newcastle lose possession and Krul has to be alert to palm away an effort from Jerome. Corner to the hosts.
27'
Sissoko finds Yoan Gouffran with a looping cross but the winger is unable to bring the ball under control. Newcastle playing with a good tempo here.
25'
Y. Cabaye has scored a goal for Newcastle United! Assist by M. Sissoko.
It had been coming. Moussa Sissoko does well to worm his way through a Palace defender before squaring for Cabaye to apply a first-time finish past Julian Speroni. Easy as you like.
24'
Palace are finding it hard to play their way through the Newcastle bodies. Adrian Mariappa's attempt to pick out Chamakh is intercepted by the Newcastle defence.
22'
Debuchy goes on another galloping run down the right before just failing to find Loic Remy with a floated cross. Ominous from the visitors.

Neil Swarbrick is the referee for today and he gets us under way at a blustery, rain-soaked Selhurst Park.
Afternoon all and welcome to live text coverage of the Premier League encounter between Crystal Palace and Newcastle United from Selhurst Park, south London.
High-flying Newcastle travel to the capital looking to extend an impressive run of form that has seen them win five of their last seven league matches, including a famous 1-0 victory over Manchester United in their last away outing at Old Trafford. The trip will be a particularly special one for Magpies boss Alan Pardew, who returns to Selhurst Park for the first time as a Premier League manager after representing Palace as a player between 1987 and 1991.
Palace have undergone a revival of sorts after an indifferent start to the season and were a tad unfortunate to lose at Chelsea last weekend. The Eagles have won their last two home matches in the league and could move out of the relegation zone with a third successive victory here.
TEAM NEWS: Palace defender Dean Moxey starts after recovering from a hamstring injury while Yohan Cabaye returns from suspension for Newcastle. Full line-ups coming right up.
So an excellent half for Newcastle, who were all over the home side in difficult conditions. Tony Pulis will think of making changes at half-time as his side has barely had a foothold in the game.
A dominant performance from the Magpies then, who secure their sixth victory in eight matches. Palace remain in the relegation zone after that defeat and they will need to regroup quickly before their Boxing Day visit to Aston Villa. Bye for now.
