It looked fairly innocuous, the injury, but Gastaldello won't be able to continue. He'll be replaced by Vasco Regini, who'll slot in at centre back.

There's a break in play at the moment as Gastaldello is currently down injured, and it looks like a serious one.

Inter creeping back into contention here.
15'
Rather comically, Taider bursts into the box and manages to volley the ball straight off his own face! He's looking slightly embarrassed after that one, it looked painful!
14'
Great play again from Palacio! The 31-year-old takes on De Silvestri at right-back and swings a superb cross to the edge of the box, but there are no takers amongst the Inter ranks! Sampdoria got away with one there!

Sampdoria get us under way at San Siro!
Good afternoon folks! Welcome to LIVE coverage of the Serie A clash between Inter and Sampdoria from San Siro!
I'm Martin Macdonald, and I'll be reporting on the action!
TEAM NEWS.
Inter (3-5-1-1): Handanovic; Campagnaro, Rolando, Juan Jesus; Jonathan, Taider, Cambiasso, Alvarez, Zanetti; Guarin; Palacio.
Sampdoria (4-2-3-1): Da Costa; De Silvestri, Gastaldello, Mustafi, Costa; Palombo, Obiang; Gabbiadini, Eder, Soriano; Pozzi.
The Nerazzurri are looking to extend their current Serie A unbeaten run to seven games, with their last defeat coming at the start of October against league leaders, Roma.
Walter Mazzarri faces one of his former clubs this afternoon. The 52-year-old was head coach of Sampdoria from 2007 to 2009 - earning sixth and 13th place finishes in Serie A.
Inter are missing several key players today. Mauro Icardi, Diego Milito, Cristian Chivu, Walter Samuel and Yuto Nagatomo are all suffering from injuries.
This is Sinisa Mihajlovic's second match in charge of Sampdoria after his opening draw to Lazio. Like Mazzarri, he also faces one of his former clubs today.
The corresponding fixture last season ended 3-2 to Inter, with Milito, Rodrigo Palacio and Freddy Guarin on target for the hosts while Gianni Munari and Eder replied for Sampdoria.
The players have made their way onto the pitch; not long until we get started!
Brilliant to see Javier Zanetti back for Inter, who makes his first start of the campaign after recovering from his achilles injury.
Half time in San Siro. Sampdoria started the match promisingly, but as Inter grew into the match they looked more and more dangerous. Some magic play from Ricky Alvarez to set up Guarin at the back post eventually saw the Nerazzurri take the lead. 1-0 at the break!
Sampdoria get out to the field for the second half before Inter, bar Javier Zanetti, who is already out on his own staring down the opposition. Sums him up really!
Full time in San Siro. Sampdoria claim a point late in the day as Renan's superb strike on 89 minutes leaves Inter having to settle for a draw at home. The hosts took the lead in the first half through Fredy Guarin but didn't build on their lead and allowed Mihajlovic's outfit back into the match. The Sampdoria boss earns his second consecutive draw in his new role, and will certainly leave the stadium the happier of the two managers! I'm Martin Macdonald, thanks for joining us! See you next time!
