Thanks for joining us this evening on Goal! Read the match report and check out our Player Ratings for the full story of that incredible ending! We know one thing for sure: Nigeria and Ivory Coast will be in Brazil next year.
90' +4
S. Kalou has scored a goal for Côte d'Ivoire!
GOALLLLL!!!!! GOAL GOAL GOAL!!! Ivory Coast have done it!!! Just moments after Senegal missed a chance from a corner, they break, and the move is finished off by Kalou, who slides the ball through the legs of Coundoul! Full steam ahead to Brazil!!!
Somehow, moments before, the ball bounced in the area but in a sea of bodies a shot skewed the ball inches wide. That's how close Senegal were to salvation. Within 30 seconds, they were devastated.
FULL TIME! What a breathless finish. The Ivory Coast players celebrate, partly in relief, partly in joy, as they book their place at the World Cup courtesy of a 2-4 Aggregate victory. However, that doesn't tell the full story of that final moment.
90' +2
M. Diouf enters the game and replaces P. Souaré.
90'
The fourth official announces FOUR remaining minutes. There's still time for a dramatic finish.
88'
A reminder - Senegal just need one goal here to go through. One goal, one chance. Two minutes remaining. It's nerve-wracking stuff.
86'
Another ball launched into the area. Sow attempts a neat flick into the path of Cisse, but his touch is too heavy, and runs through to Barry. Time running out now.
84'
Ivory Coast have responded well. They have taken the sting from the onslaught that ensued after Sow's goal, and are trying, desperately, just to see this out.
82'
H. Saivet enters the game and replaces S. Badji.
CHANCE! Ivory Coast looking to kill it. Yaya Toure strides onto a break of the ball in the box, but Coundoul rushes from his line and dives at his feet heroically. Great fielding.
81'
Drogba, Toure and Co will need to call on all of their experience to get through this difficult spell. The ascendency completely with Senegal. The question is, have they left it too late to mount their comeback?
80'
G. Sio enters the game and replaces Y. Gervinho.
Minute
Description
79'
The crowd are going crazy now, and Ivory Coast are totally rattled. Kolo Toure is limping. 10 minutes left. Can they do it?
77'
Penalty goal scored by M. Sow for Senegal!
GOALLLL SENEGAL! The sub Sow takes responsibility, and keeps his cool, slotting into the corner. Game on here!!!!
75'
Mane collects the ball and turns in the box only to be stopped by, of all people, Didier Drogba. Mane goes down a little easily, but the referee had no hesitation. What a chance for Senegal!
74'
PENALTY TO SENEGAL!!
73'
Some of the deliveries into the box getting a little more desperate now - the kind that Bamba and Toure will happily clear up all day long.
71'
Djilobodji bursts forward on the left, and his cutback across goal finds the feet of Cisse, but the big forward can't turn and shoot, and the ball squirms clear.
69'
Closing stages now. Gervinho once again strides away, attempting to take the pressure off of his defence, but Senegal win it back quickly and win a corner at the other end.
66'
The first warning from the referee regarding time-wasting comes for Barry, who takes an age to prepare his goal kick, but isn't given a caution. He'll probably do it again next time, then.
65'
M. Sow enters the game and replaces D. N'Doye.
Moussa Sow brought into the action, replacing N'Doye. Surprised that both of them haven't stayed on, given that the clock is very much against Senegal.
64'
.... but N'Doye can only curl the effort wide of the post. Barry never really threatened there.
63'
Another free-kick for Senegal right on the edge of the area...
62'
Y. Gervinho gets yellow.
Another snapshot from the edge of the Ivory Coast area, this time from Mane, flies well wide of the target.
59'
Definitely an increase in tempo from Senegal. They need the breakthrough soon, though. Half an hour remaining.
57'
PENALTY CLAIM! The Senegal players are furious, believing that they have been denied a penalty kick for handball in the area, but the replay shows that the cross struck the arm of Djilobodji Great decision from the man in the middle.
55'
The free-kick is hopelessly wasted. The definition of an anti-climax there.
54'
FOUL! Mane brought down by Kolo Toure in a dangerous position. This is within shooting range...
52'
Definitely a good start to the half for them, though, and once again Cisse is at the heart of their next attack, but his shot is blocked. Ivory Coast getting ever-so-slightly nervous.
50'
You get the feeling that Senegal might need something like that, whether it's a break of the ball or a set-piece, in order to get themselves a foothold. At the moment they lack the quality to break through with skilful play.
48'
CHANCE! Awful defending from Ivory Coast, letting the ball bounce in the area, and Cisse capitalising on a break of the ball goes clear, but his shot is blocked brilliantly by the legs of Barry. Could be a big moment.
46'
Teams back out here. Huge half for both sides. Let's hope for more goalmouth action than the first 45 minutes afforded us.
45' +2
And that's that for the first half, boys and girls. Senegal, you would think, need to fly out of the blocks at the start of the second period if they are to frighten this extremely experienced Ivory Coast side. Back soon!
45'
Gervinho, probably the most dangerous player of the half, glides down the right and cuts into the penalty area, but his lobbed cross into the area misses all of his team-mates and bounces harmlessly out at the far side. Nice play until the final product.
43'
Edging towards half-time now, and Ivory Coast comfortable. Senegal will, at some point, have to throw caution.
40'
Another effort from Senegal. A spell of pressure sees the ball eventually make its way to N'Doye. His initial effort is blocked and as the ball rolls to him again, he fires his shot, while off balance, high and wide.
38'
Drogba may have got older and wiser, but he's still fond of exaggeration. Upon chasing a ball through on goal a stray hand brushes his cheek, but he hits the ground in a fashion only he is capable of. Coundoul dashes from his goal to complain to the referee, and it's all a bit silly.
36'
Zokora takes what looked like a heavy knock in the centre, but he brushes himself down to take the free-kick, and almost frees Gervinho once more, but the ball just skips through to Coundoul.
35'
J. Gosso gets yellow.
33'
Snapshot from Cisse flies wide, but assistant referee had already raised his flag. In the background the LCD screen shows an advert for mobile phone brand 'Orange'. I wonder what team the ad man supports.
31'
Decent wing play from Gervinho, cutting in from the left and feeding the ball across the box, but a deflection flips the ball into the air, and makes life difficult for Kalou. As a result, the former Chelsea player's volley lacks control and flies wide of the target.
29'
Crowd have went ever so slightly flat. The visitors will be pleased with how they kept them relatively subdued.
27'
Barry's handing not quite as secure there. He punches out a delivery that fell into his domain, but isn't convincing. Senegal can't take advantage and although they force a corner, can't force a clear chance on goal.
25'
Given the deficit they face, you feel that Senegal needed a more dynamic start than they've managed here in order to stake a claim for qualification. As it stands, Drogba and Co reasonably comfortable.
22'
22 minutes in, and the first explosion of Drog. The striker gallops down the right hand side and whips in an inviting delivery, but Gervinho isn't up with play, and does his best just to keep the ball in at the back post.
20'
Ivory Coast stopper Barry is a much-maligned goalkeeper, but his general handling and positioning has been solid so far, dealing with potentially dangerous moments well.
18'
Cameraman treats us to a lovely dancing troupe of Ivory Coast fans dressed all in orange, in the middle of the stand, performing moves in perfect unison. Let's see if they are still dancing at full-time.
16'
Cynical from Yaya Toure there, performing an agricultural bodycheck on Gueye in the middle of the pitch, and he picks up a merited yellow card for his efforts.
15'
Y. Touré gets yellow.
14'
DANGER!!!! Much, much better from Senegal. Papiss Cisse's header down in the box is hooked to safety, but the ball breaks to Gueye on the edge of the area. He steadies himself, but his shot whistles inches wide of goal. Encouraging.
12'
First hint at a spell of pressure from Senegal, winning a corner down the left-hand side, but the resulting delivery is gathered with style by Barry, diving full length to pluck the ball from the air.
10'
Romaric fires in a free-kick from what appears to be 50 yards, and it almost exits the stadium, such was its distance off target. A truly woeful effort from the former Sevilla man.
8'
Interesting comparison between those two players; Cisse in desperate form for Newcastle at the moment, finding goals hard to come by, while Gervinho has been a revelation in Serie A since joining Roma in the summer.
6'
Gervinho shows fantastic feet to dance into the area, but eventually he's crowded out and Senegal clear the danger.
4'
Papiss Cisse with the first effort on goal for the hosts, but it's a loose description of a chance - his header flies hopelessly wide of goal.
3'
Ivory Coast force a corner in the opening stages, but Romaric's delivery is easily cleared, and immediately Senegal go on the counterattack. Opening exchanges perhaps a bit too open for the visitor's tastes.
1'
We are underway.
Senegal have it all to do on home turf, trailing 3-1 from the first leg last month.
Good evening football fans! Welcome to Goal's live coverage of Senegal v Ivory Coast, from the Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca.
Nigeria have already booked their slot at World Cup 2014 in Brazil, seeing off Ethiopia earlier today, and tonight Africa will identify its second represenative at the showpiece tournament next summer.
Ivory Coast: Copa - Bamba, K. Touré, Zokora, Aurier - Romaric, Gosso Gosso - Gervinho, Yaya Touré, Kalou, Drogba
Senegal XI: Coundoul; Souaré, Djilobodji, Mbodji, L. Sané; I. Gueye, S. Sané, Badji; Sadio Mané, N´Doye, Cissé.
Remember, Senegal netted a 95th minute goal in the first leg which gives them a ray of hope for this match. How important will that strike be in the final reckoning? Kick-off just moments away here.
Interesting line-up from Ivory Coast. Despite holding the advantage in the tie, their selection suggests anything but a defensive approach. With the likes of Drogba, Kalou and Gervinho all present, they seem determined to put this to bed quickly.
Teams out on the pitch and ready to go. Senegal in white, Ivory Coast in their traditional all-Orange outfit.
Here we go then. Nigeria are there. Who will join them?
