PERISIC! So close for the former Dortmund man! He uses a smart stepover to beat his marker, before dragging a trickling shot just wide of Weidenfeller's far post!
90' +2
LEWANDOWSKI! The Poland international looked to go through one-on-one with Benaglio, before seemingly being shoved out of the way as he tried to stab the ball beyond the Swiss goalkeeper! It's tough to see if the striker was in control of the ball when he went down.
90' +1
J. Polák enters the game and replaces M. Arnold.
Three minutes of stoppage time in this second half, and Dortmund need a goal if they are to keep the pace with Bayern at the top of the Bundesliga. Nervy moments for Wolfsburg's fans, but their team are doing them proud with a plucky performance.
90'
HANDBALL! Lewandowski is penalised, as the Polish international challenged aerially to meet a cross from Schmelzer. It strikes the arm of the Dortmund hitman, but Lewandowski might possibly feel that he was being dragged to the ground by Rodriguez.
88'
Tensions and frustrations continue to rise, with Klopp voicing his concerns in the Dortmund technical area too. Meanwhile, Hecking sits composedly in his dug out, overseeing what would be a heroic victory for Wolfsburg.
87'
ARNOLD! Excellent footwork from the German forward! He twists and turns to avoid the attentions of Hummels, carving out a bit of space for a shot at goal. It's from a tight angle though, and Arnold can only disturb the side netting.
86'
M. Schäfer enters the game and replaces D. Caligiuri.
Good covering from Schmelzer! Dost shows too much of the ball to the full-back, and a good Wolfsburg move is stopped in its tracks. Had the Dutchman managed to cut inside his marker, that could easily have resulted in the winning goal.
85'
Frustrations levels are rising, as the referee is forced to brandish a couple of cards for petulance. Reus is one of the main culprits, as the goalscorer seems to want to argue every decisions. Five minutes left on the clock, and Dortmund know they're struggling.
84'
M. Reus gets yellow.
83'
PERISIC! The left sided player finds himself on the right, beating Schmelzer with a change of pace before looking to find Dost bearing down on the back post! The ball flashes across the face of goal, that was a half chance.
Minute
Description
82'
NALDO! An absolute rocket of a free-kick from the Brazilian, who almost bursts the ball with such power. Weidenfeller is glad to see it arc over the crossbar, and the wall is probably equally pleased that they didn't have to get in the way of it.
81'
H. Mkhitaryan gets yellow.
Hummels wants a penalty! The central defender dances around several Wolfsburg players on the edge of the box, before going down claiming that he was shoved! The referee waves away the complaints, and play continues. Dortmund are running out of time!
80'
B. Dost enters the game and replaces I. Olić.
79'
An injury to Olic appears to have forced the Croatian off the field of play, with the striker leaving the pitch with one of his socks rolled down. He receives a standing ovation and rightfully so, he could have easily just scored Wolfsburg's goal of the season.
78'
Fortunate for Knoche! The youngster gives away the ball needlessly, allowing for Dortmund to swing a ball into the area! Benaglio races off his line, dropping the cross initially, before being able to smother it at the second attempt. Heart in mouth moment for the home fans.
77'
J. Hofmann enters the game and replaces P. Aubameyang.
M. Ducksch enters the game and replaces S. Bender.
76'
MKHITARYAN! The Armenian is thwarted by Knoche, after a smart knock-down from Lewandowski! He attempts to bring the ball down before unleashing a half volley at goal, but the Wolfsburg central defender is alive to the danger and makes the block!
75'
Hummels is penalised for a foul on Olic, and the Wolfsburg fans are baying for the central defender to get his marching orders! Hummels must be careful now, he's already been booked and one challenge could see him miss an important game after the international break.
74'
What a game we have on our hands here! Around a quarter of an hour remaining, and this could go either way! Wolfsburg deserve their lead, and the Dortmund away support has been uncharacteristically silenced by Olic's goal! Klopp might be forced to ring the changes soon.
72'
REUS! CROSSBAR! The Germany international tries his luck yet again from a free-kick, and Benaglio is left dumbfounded once again! The ball arcs over the wall, before striking the woodwork where the post meets the bar! Almost a sublime finish!
70'
What a fantastic finish that was, and Dortmund look a little bit shellshocked! Olic just stepped inside, before unleashing a gorgeous, curling left-footed strike! It seemed to glide through the air, bending around the fingers of Weidenfeller, before nestling in the far corner! Exquisite.
69'
I. Olić has scored a goal for Wolfsburg!
WHAT A GOOOOOOOOAL! OLIC FINISHES FOR WOLFSBURG, WHAT A FINISH! The Croatian has been anonymous, but he's curled in an absolute beauty from 25 yards, leaving Weidenfeller helpless! It's 2-1 to Wolfsburg!
67'
Hecking will be pleased with how his side have contested the second half, they're giving a very strong side plenty to think about. Breaking with purpose, Dortmund look rather too preoccupied by Wolfsburg's counter-attacks to spend time launching their own!
66'
RODRIGUEZ! Another free-kick effort from the Swiss, but this time Weidenfeller is barely tested. The ball looked to take a slight deflection, but it doesn't wrongfoot the Dortmund keeper, who collects with ease.
65'
Wolfsburg continue to press forward, and look to be posing Dortmund plenty of problems. With Hummels and Bender booked, such pressure is the last thing that the visitors will be wanting. Wolfsburg's fans are in good voice, and they can smell blood here.
63'
No way through for Dortmund, as Wolfsburg seem to have a resilient answer for everything. Lewandowski is continually forced backwards, with Grosskreutz and Schmelzer having absolutely no offensive effect on the game whatsoever. Durm may be a good candidate to be thrown into the fray.
61'
Half an hour remaining, and it doesn't look as though Dortmund have got a great deal left in the tank. Ochs and Rodriguez are pressing forward whenever possible, and it's highly likely that the home side will be celebrating the game's third goal.
59'
Yet another instance of miscontrol from Aubameyang, and Luiz Gustavo is able to clear the Wolfsburg lines. The Gabonese forward has had a rather sloppy game thus far, and I wonder how long he will last on the field at the mercy of the irritable Jurgen Klopp.
58'
Well, that's no less than the home side deserved, and Dortmund are in a bit of a bad situation now. Klopp may be forced to make a couple of changes to rejuvenate a side that is possibly a tad jaded from their midweek Champions League exploits.
56'
R. Rodríguez has scored a goal for Wolfsburg!
GOOOOOAL! RODRIGUEZ CONVERTS FROM A FREE-KICK! Two free-kicks, and two goals in this game! The Swiss left-back looks to cross and find Knoche in the centre of the box, but the delivery bounces all the way through and beyond Weidenfeller!
54'
AUBAMEYANG! Lewandowski breaks powerfully, before cutting the ball across the penalty box to try to find Mkhitaryan. The Armenian controls, picks out the advancing Aubameyang, but the former St Etienne man fails to find the target from ten yards out! Poor, poor effort.
53'
Great interception from Sokratis! A good cross from Ochs carves open the Dortmund defence, but the Greek substitute is able to slide in and clear the ball, as Medojevic hesitates! An opportunity for the equaliser there.
52'
Dortmund's advanced players are still failing to have a real impact on the game, with Lewandowski being forced to drop very deep to pick up possession. The Polish striker looks dangerous when driving towards goal, but rarely finds a pocket of space to get a shot away.
50'
Ochs nods the ball back to Benaglio under some pressure from Aubameyang, as Dortmund look to get the Gabon international involved once again, by method of lofting the ball in behind the Wolfsburg defence and allowing him to chase. An interesting outlet for the visitors.
49'
Perisic starts the second half in the same vein as the first, looking bright and inventive on the ball. He clearly wants to make an impression on his former employers, and his technical ability has never been in doubt. Some intelligent touches and pieces of skill from the left winger.
47'
Good defending by Ochs! The experienced full-back manages to get back goalside of Reus, clearing the ball to safety, but the linesman has his flag raised for offside anyhow. Naldo stepped up intelligently to catch the goalscorer in a comprising position.
46'
We're back underway in the second half! Dortmund will hope to find a second goal to give themselves something of a cushion, while Wolfsburg are on the quest to find their just desserts.
45' +2
M. Reus has scored a goal for Borussia Dortmund!
GOOOOOAL! REUS FINISHES THE FREE-KICK! Benaglio had no chance there, and Dortmund take an undeserved lead. It's a peach of a strike, curling into the top left hand corner, leaving the Swiss keeper standing!
45' +1
P. Ochs gets yellow.
Ochs brings down Mkhitaryan on the edge of the Wolfsburg penalty area, when the Armenian was in full flight. It's a yellow for the challenge, but the repercussions could be worse for his side if they concede!
45'
Another save made by Weidenfeller, this time to half-clear a free-kick delivery that looked to be landing on the edge of the six yard box. The loose ball finds Perisic in space, but the Croatian balloons a left-footed strike over the bar.
44'
S. Papastathopoulos enters the game and replaces N. Subotić.
Well, Subotic will be playing no further part here this afternoon, and the Dortmund defender is being stretchered off. That awkward landing seemed to overextend the Serbian's knee, he might not return to action for a while. We'll be having some sizeable first half stoppage time.
42'
Subotic is down injured, after the Serbian international looked to land heavily after falling over the top of Perisic. It seems to be a knee complaint for the defender, and Sokratis is immediately readied.
41'
SCHMELZER! The ball is switched from right to left, and finds itself at the feet of the Dortmund left-back. He decides to try his luck with his weaker right foot, but balloons the ball well wide of the target. He won't want to be reminded of that effort!
40'
Dortmund open up Wolfsburg for the first time of this half, but Wolfsburg slam the door in their face once again with a good block. Lewandowski left two players for dead with some silky dribbling, before laying the ball off to Reus, who accelerated quickly before trying to bring Aubameyang into play. The intended pass was blocked!
38'
LEWANDOWSKI! The loose ball finds its way to Dortmund's top goalscorer, but he can't turn it home from under little pressure in the Wolfsburg penalty area. The hosts failed to deal with a Sahin free-kick delivery, but the Polish forward couldn't punish them.
36'
Good defending from Knoche! Aubameyang gets in behind the German defender, but despite the difference in pace, the Wolfsburg man manages to force his opponent wide of goal and away from danger. The Gabonese striker is Dortmund's only threat at the moment.
34'
Good save from Weidenfeller! Mkhitaryan gives away the ball, allowing for Wolfsburg to counter quickly, but a near post strike is easily palmed over the crossbar by the Dortmund keeper. He's certainly keeping his side's head above water at the moment.
33'
Still no goals here this afternoon, but it's certainly a compelling game. Wolfsburg are really taking things to Dortmund, and the frustration shown by the likes of Reus shows that the hosts' game plan is working. Dortmund resorting to direct balls for Aubameyang to chase.
31'
MEDOJEVIC! The young Serbian manages to reach a Caligiuri cross, but doesn't get the clean connection required to find the top right corner. The Dortmund away support are being extremely vocal, as though they realise that their team are struggling to find a way through this Wolfsburg side here.
29'
REUS! Lewandowski skips away from a challenge, before trying to place the ball onto the head of Reus, who was steaming in towards the back post. The delivery from the Poland international has a bit too much on it, however, and Reus can't manage to divert the travelling ball home.
27'
Dortmund certainly haven't had things their own way so far, and Perisic is having a great game against his old club. Wolfsburg have only lost one of their last eleven games here, managing to score in the majority of said games - Dortmund need something special to win here this afternoon.
26'
Weidenfeller commands his area well once again, as yet another Rodriguez corner delivery is punched away by the Dortmund goalkeeper. The intimidating likes of Naldo and Luiz Gustavo aren't getting an opportunity to meet these deliveries!
24'
M. Hummels gets yellow.
Hummels is booked for an off-the-ball incident with Arnold, as the defender looked to block off his opponent needlessly. I think that the Germany international can't really complain there, he absolutely flattened his opponent and knew what he was doing!
22'
PERISIC! The former Dortmund man almost grabs a goal against his previous employers! He rises excellently, beating Grosskreutz to the back post cross, but the Croatian nods the ball narrowly wide of the post with Weidenfeller at full stretch! Close for Wolfsburg!
20'
Good block from Rodriguez! The Swiss full-back follows the run of the overlapping Grosskreutz, and manages to hook the German's eventual cross up the line. Except for Aubameyang's occasional bursts, the Wolfsburg defence haven't been troubled yet.
18'
A lull in chances, as Wolfsburg enjoy a spell of dominance that bears no fruit. Dortmund won't be too concerned if the hosts commit a few extra players forward, as it will inevitably leave gaps for them to exploit.
16'
A few niggling fouls from Dortmund break down the flow of the game, as this time it's the frustrated Reus who brings down Luiz Gustavo. The diminutive forward seems to still be a little peeved that Mkhitaryan's scooped through ball wasn't telegraphed to his waiting instep.
15'
Neither manager will be too unhappy with the early stages of this game, as both teams have seen a good amount of the ball and caused a few problems with their probing. Wolfsburg just need to remain aware of the pacey threats which Dortmund boast.
13'
REUS! The Germany international is almost found with an intelligent scooped ball from Mkhitaryan, which almost saw Reus able to bring the ball down in acres of space inside the penalty area. The pass is slightly too heavy, however, and Benaglio collects.
12'
S. Bender gets yellow.
Bender picks up a yellow card for a poor challenge on Arnold, as an accumulation of two similarly rash challenges. The Germany international complains, but that was a rightfully deserved yellow!
10'
AUBAMEYANG! The pace of the former St Etienne man rears its head once again! Gorgeous control from Aubameyang to pluck a lofted ball forward out of the air, before the Dortmund forward drove past Naldo, firing narrowly wide of the post!
9'
D. Caligiuri gets yellow.
Good recovery from Subotic! Medojevic and Caligiuri exchange a one-two, and the former finds himself through on goal from a tight angle, and looks to cut the ball back from the byline. The Serbian international gets back well to divert the intended pass behind for a corner.
8'
Punched away well by Weidenfeller! Wolfsburg pick up a free-kick in a dangerous area, and Rodriguez whips a dipping cross into the path of three Wolfsburg players! The German goalkeeper is quick off his line to punch the ball out of the danger zone.
7'
HUMMELS! The big central defender lumbers his way up from the back, nodding a Sahin free-kick delivery narrowly over the bar at the back post! Nobody was tracking his run, that was dangerously poor marking from Wolfsburg.
5'
An end-to-end first five minutes, as both sides see attempts flash across goal. Neither goalkeeper has been called into action yet, however. Dortmund have had the better of possession, and look rather settled already.
4'
AUBAMEYANG! The Gabon international leaves Rodriguez for dead, pulling away from the Swiss defender with ease with his tremendous pace. The former St Etienne forward centres the ball in search of Reus, but the pass is inaccurate.
3'
Wolfsburg are pressing high up the field, keen to force Dortmund back into their own half, rather than permitting their lightning fast breaks. Both Reus and Aubameyang are speedy players, and Hecking won't fancy his full-backs chances against them.
2'
Both sets of fans are particularly loud, in an excellent atmosphere. Dortmund are in yellow, with Wolfsburg in white, and both sides are trading possession freely in the early minutes. Bender penalised for a late challenge on Medojevic.
1'
And we are underway in Volkswagen Arena, as Wolfsburg look to resist the counter-attacking forays of their illustrious visitors Dortmund. Two strong teams have been named, and therefore we can expect a good spectacle here this afternoon!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of Dortmund's tough visit to Wolfsburg, as the hosts have been resurgent this season. Currently occupying fifth place in the Bundesliga table, enjoying three consecutive wins in the lead up to today's game, we should be in for a thrilling encounter at the Volkswagen Arena.
I'm Simon Harrison, and I will be leading you through all of this afternoon's action, as Jurgen Klopp names a very strong side to face the in-form Wolfsburg. No risks taken by the charismatic coach, with the only noticeable change being Aubameyang in for Blaszczykowski.
A win here today for Wolfsburg would keep the home side in with a chance of staying in touch with the runaway trio at the top, as well as being a considerable scalp for a side who has had a tough few years. Dortmund's attitude will be the same as always, keep winning and hope that Bayern will slip up somewhere along the line.
TEAM NEWS: Blaszczykowski misses out with a gastrointestinal infection, but Hummels is back in the starting eleven after recovering from back and thigh troubles that saw the Germany international miss Dortmund's 1-0 Champions League loss to Arsenal.
Wins over Augsburg, Eintracht Frankfurt and Werder Bremen has seen Hecking's side rise steadily up the table, to the point where the home side are probably feeling rather confident in their ability to resist a Dortmund side that smashed six past Stuttgart last time out. Wolfsburg are keen to try and stop the quick transitions of play that make Klopp's side so dangerous, only time will tell as to whether they will be able to stand resilient.
HALF TIME! Wolfsburg end the half with frustration, as a stoppage time Marco Reus free-kick has edged the visitors ahead undeservedly! Perisic and others have had some good opportunities, with Dortmund labouring, and that goal is a real sucker punch.
That Marco Reus goal was a finish worthy of winning any contest, but Wolfsburg will be rather disheartened following a good first half display. Medojevic and Perisic have had some positive chances, with Aubameyang only getting in behind on one occasion for the visitors.
The influence of Lewandowski, Mkhitaryan, Reus and Aubameyang has been severely limited by an organised performance by Hecking's side, yet the hosts still find themselves trailing. I doubt that Klopp will have too many nice things to say in the dressing room!
The teams are just returning to the field for the second half, and Wolfsburg will hope to continue their good work in the first portion of the game, just hopefully with a couple of goals added into the equation. At home, Wolfsburg do manage to score with regularity.
FULL TIME! WOLFSBURG HAVE DONE IT! The away side are now level on points with Bayer Leverkusen, while Wolfsburg go temporarily into fourth! Klopp races onto the field to remonstrate with the referee, but there's nothing he can say to change anything now.
Goals from Rodriguez and Olic were enough to give the home side a deserved win, as a labouring Dortmund side just failed to find the intricate cutting edge that they usually boast in abundance. Reus' first half free-kick was a rare bright spark in a poor outing for Klopp's men.
This result again shows what good form Wolfsburg are in, managing to beat last season's Bundesliga runners up, without their talisman Diego. Plenty of grit and determination dragged them towards the three points, and a visit to Volkswagen Arena seems to be quite a test this campaign.
That's all we've got time for, but we hope that you enjoyed Wolfsburg's thrilling 2-1 victory over Dortmund, as a beautiful curling effort from Ivica Olic capped a wonderfully hard-fought game. I've been Simon Harrison, and I hope to see you all again next time.
