Barkley's movement in the box is unchecked, but Olsson is on hand to block away for a corner. Over the added time now.
FULL-TIME: Everton 0-0 West Brom.
90' +3
Poor from West Brom there. Vydra streaks down the wing, and finds Morrison making a fantastic run on the other side. Vydra unable to find him.
West Brom a minute away from sealing a first clean sheet at Goodison Park for 30 years.
90' +2
Still Everton soar with 62% possession, but Barkley goes wide from the box, as his shot clatters off Billy Jones.
90' +1
COLEMAN!!! OFF THE CROSSBAR! Daniels beaten, and that wasn't intentional! Superb curl on the ball there, but what a story that would've been.
90'
Into stoppage time, and there'll be FOUR minutes of it. Heightened anticipation.
88'
COLEMAN! Superb strike, and good save by Daniels. That is a brilliant strike from the full-back who surges forward on the wing, cuts in, and curls towards the near post. Unlucky.
Fellaini also with a strike which fails to trouble the goalkeeper. Everton finally crowd the box with numbers, but unable to get a good head on the ball.
87'
VYDRA! Fantastic block from Everton there. It broke kindly for the Czech striker, who benefited from a lucky touch through, but Jagielka and Distin combine to avert the danger.
86'
Arouna Kone bursts forward, finds Naismith who tumbles in the area, and sees the ball roll gently into the arms of Daniels. Time is ticking, less than four minutes to go.
85'
R. Barkley gets yellow.
84'
Baines' pass is cut out by Mulumbu, who chases forward and picks out Morrison. With only Vydra ahead of him, the Scot holds on and reciprocates for Mulumbu, who is subsequently fouled by Barkley. Free-kick.
Minute
Description
83'
And seconds later, Arouna Kone is ruled offside after a good chance. All happening now in the final stages.
82'
OHH! He hits the POST! Fantastic diagonal ball from Jagielka, into Fellaini, who expertly uses his chest to control, but strikes the post with his effort. What a chance.
81'
C. Brunt enters the game and replaces S. Long.
Final WBA SUBSTITUTION - Chris Brunt is on for Shane Long
80'
Ten minutes to go at Goodison Park and it is still Everton 0-0 West Brom. Arouna Kone on the edge of the area, but the substitute goalkeeper Luke Daniels races off the line to challenge the striker.
79'
Everton with the high ball into the box, Pienaar, with a one-two with Fellaini. Baines attempts to set through Barkley, but West Brom able to deal aptly with the danger.
78'
L. Daniels enters the game and replaces B. Foster.
77'
An unexpected turn of events here, as Foster indicates he can no longer continue. Luke Daniels, who last featured in a league game for Southend United in January 2012, is on.
76'
Ben Foster requires a bit of medical attention here. Looks to have taken a knock on the ankle. WBA have Luke Daniels on the bench, and he hasn't featured in a senior game yet!
75'
Everton continue to advance at the other end, with Coleman pushing forward on the right hand side. Takes a heavy touch past the defender, and Foster is there to pick up the ball.
73'
S. Naismith enters the game and replaces Kevin Mirallas.
LONG! Good chance for the Baggies. Naismith a bit of a liability already, he loses possession to James Morrison, who picks off a superb pass to Shane Long. The Ireland striker with a low shot, which Tim Howard is required to pick up at the second attempt.
72'
A. Koné enters the game and replaces N. Jelavić.
SUBSTITUTION: Nikica Jelavic and Kevin Mirallas are off for Arouna Kone (home debut) and Steven Naismith.
Naismith already concedes a foul seconds after coming on here. Guilty of a late lunge on Ridgewell, without touching the ball! 17 minutes left, and no closer to a goal.
71'
No wonder, Everton are making a substitution here. Martinez looking to shake things up in the final stages.
70'
A few howls of discontent from the stands. Three men in the box from a corner, and it's easy picking for Foster. It's been a flaw in Martinez's plan all afternoon.
68'
Pienaar finds Coleman on the wing, but the right-back is unable to get past the challenge of McAuley. They switch play, with Mirallas operating centrally once more, but Ridgewell clears.
67'
M. Vydra enters the game and replaces M. Rosenberg.
SUBSTIUTION: Markus Rosenborg is off for Matej Vydra, who starred for Watford in the Championship last year. Did train with Everton in 2009.
66'
25 minutes to go, and there's still no sign of the breakthrough. Everton have had 15 attempts on goal, six on targets. As well as 62% possession. West Brom will make a substitution.
65'
ROSENBORG! First shot on target from West Brom. Fantastic little trident of passing from Yacob, Rosenborg and Morrison. The latter two combine, with the Swede powerfully striking at goal, which is parried by the goalkeeper.
64'
Pienaar picks up the ball on the left flank, but slows down to hold up play. Frustratingly once more, no blue shirts in the box, he goes for goal, and it's a simple one for Foster.
63'
The problem for Everton has been the slow reaction of the forward players. They've just not been able to make good runs into the box.
62'
Everton camped out on the edge of the box, but no-one makes a run. Mulumbu fails to reclaim possession, as Barkley picks out Mirallas, but the shot is well saved by Foster on the near post.
60'
On the hour mark, and it's beginning to open up here. Mulumbu powers down the right wing, Everton unable to pick out the ball, but Shane Long, in a superb position fails to connect with the ball! A rare chance.
59'
Jagielka sets Baines on the overlap off the left-wing, but the full-back is unable to pick out someone on the box. Instead, he cuts play back, rather short, and it's cut out by Jones.
58'
Jonas Olsson can count himself lucky to not have been booked. Off the ball, he bodychecks Nikica Jelavic whilst the Croatian seeks to make a run.
57'
Dorrans cuts out Mirallas' movements as West Brom counter. But play's been stopped by a peculiar encounter between Olsson and Jelavic.
56'
And West Brom continue to absorb the unrelenting pressure set on them. Leon Osman's strike from outside the box takes a sizeable deflection off Gareth McAuley. Only the referee gives a goal-kick. Surprising.
55'
BARKLEY! Foster with a fantastic save, and on the follow-up, Fellaini is unable to turn the ball past the goalkeeper. Brilliant stuff from Everton, as Foster is forced into a double save on the back of Barkley's shot from outside the box.
54'
Everton are getting closer and closer. Another fantastic build-up from the Toffees, with the ball sprayed out wide to Coleman, who first-time, drills into the danger zone. No-one on the receiving end.
53'
Everton continue to pile on the pressure. Pienaar picks up a pass from Jelavic, into the path of Fellaini. The Belgian midfielder with a fine turn, but Olsson hurriedly clears with a perfectly-timed slide tackle.
52'
BAINES! Great build-up on the left-hand side, early ball from Baines catches West Brom short, it evades Jelavic, and then Mirallas on the far post. Slow reaction from the attackers, but Ridgewell on hand to clear.
50'
On the near side, West Brom win another free-kick, after Coleman tussles with Morrison on the wing. The subsequent set-piece fails to result into something serious.
49'
Claudio Yacob reprimanded for a challenge on Barkley. The Under-21 midfielder should've really found Mirallas on the wing, but delayed his pass, and subsequently was on the receiving end of a late lunge from Yacob.
48'
Piennar does superbly well to navigate out of a testing position. He picks out Barkley but the young midfielder is unable to fashion out an opening.
47'
West Brom have a free-kick here. Dorrans drifts one in deep, looking for Olsson, but Distin is on hand to avvert the danger. Everton break.
46'
UNDERWAY IN THE SECOND HALF! No changes at the break, West Brom attacking from right to left.
45' +2
HALF-TIME: Everton 0-0 West Brom
45' +1
Chance for Everton in the final stages of the half. Headed on from the corner once more, with Foster beaten. Mirallas heads towards goal, blocked by Olsson. Jelavic too, but it's blocked at the death by Ridgewell.
45'
Everton have another corner here, with Dorrans conceding the set-piece. West Brom have all ten players back here.
44'
There'll be two added minutes at the end of the first half.
42'
Tempo slightly decreasing as we edge closer to half-time. Everton have a corner here, Baines delivers it in, but with just four blue shirts in the box, it's unlikely he'll find a team-mate.
40'
Slight delay in play, as Markus Rosenborg goes to ground while play continues. On the receiving end of a challenge from Osman. He requires a bit of medical attention, but should be fine to continue.
39'
COLEMAN! Superb movement and build-up from Everton. Pienaar slips in Coleman on the overlap, and the full-back does brilliantly to navigate his way past his markers, but attempts to strike at Foster's near post. The England goalkeeper is equal to it.
37'
Everton have had eight shot attempts to West Brom's two, with 3-0 the score when it comes to shots on target. They're certainly on top. Meanwhile, in the stands Hodgson is in deep conversation with his Irish counterpart, Giovanni Trapattoni.
36'
Tempers rising just a little in the Merseyside sunshine, as Osman is reprimanded for a foul. Seconds later, McAuley concedes a free-kick for an unfair challenge on Jelavic. That's a strong challenge.
35'
JELAVIC! Oh, that should've been the opening goal. Mulumbu dallies on the ball and allows Everton to break. Fellaini with an inch perfect ball towards Jelavic in the area, but he's crowded out. Yacob with the important challenge.
34'
Oh, Piennar is lucky not to have been booked there. Under pressure with Jones and Long challenging for the loose ball, the South African attempts a cheeky little kick at Long, but Roger East, the referee just signals a free-kick.
32'
MIRALLAS! Brilliant save from Foster. And this is lovely football from Everton. Barkley and Fellaini combine, with the former finding Coleman advancing on the right. It's pulled back to Mirallas, who fires a superb shot which is tipped over by Foster.
31'
Another fine counter-move from the hosts. Baines, who has been a strong point on the left-wing picks off Mirallas, who is now operating more centrally. The Belgian finds Barkley, who fires immediately, and over the bar.
30'
Another free-kick this time conceded by Shane Long, who has been rather erratic off the ball so far. Drifted in from Mirallas, but West Brom's defensive line holds strong.
28'
Y. Mulumbu gets yellow.
BAINES! Just wide from the free-kick. Barkley's initial attempt is fired straight into the wall, but Baines on the rebound sees his effort drift wide of Foster's right post.
27'
YELLOW CARD! Youssouf Mulumbu is booked for a rather deliberate foul on Barkley, and Everton have a free-kick just off the edge of the area. Baines and Barkley over this one.
25'
ROSENBORG! Should've done better. Very poor from the Swedish attacker, and very amateurish from the Toffees' defence. Route one football here, as Foster's goal-kick sees Long outjump Jagielka, giving Rosenborg some space, but on the half-volley, he fires high and wide.
23'
Good opening from West Brom as Dorrans receives a break on the left, into Mulumbu, but he curls his effort wide of Tim Howard's left post.
22'
Baines with the long kick up the field in search of Jelavic. McAuley on hand to head the ball away, but West Brom race forward superbly with Jones and Mulumbu combining intricately to open the Everton midfield up.
21'
Mulumbu powers forward through the midfield, and passes neatly towards Billy Jones on the right wing, but Baines tracks back to deflect the ball out for a throw-in. Good start from the reported Man Utd target. Very efficient.
19'
BARKLEY! Brilliant run, unlucky about the shot. Under the eyes of England manager Hodgson, the midfielder dribbles past his opponents, but goes for the shot which narrowly flashes past Foster, with his defenders absolutely nowhere.
18'
West Brom just a little bit content by holding onto the ball and seeing it passed back calmly along the defensive line. Everton doing well to give chase and try and close their opponents down.
17'
Fellaini temporarily concedes possession as Morrison gives chase, but Baines retains the ball by hoofing it against the Scottish international.
16'
Delivered in deep by Jonas Olsson, and it's headed away by Marouane Fellaini. Everton attempt to break, but that's curtailed by Jelavic's third offside call once again.
14'
It's been a fairly mixed opening quarter of an hour or so here at Goodison, with neither side seriously asserting their authority on this match yet. Free-kick in Albion's favour, with Barkley losing out against Liam Ridgewell.
13'
West Brom impressively closing down the Everton attack, as referee Roger East plays advantage after Shane Long holds off the challenge of Leighton Baines. Play continues.
11'
Everton averaged an 88% pass completion rate last week against Norwich, the highest of any Premier League side on opening weekend. Can they repeat the feat?
10'
Jelavic! Good stop from Foster. Fluid play in the midfield from Barkley and Piennar, as they combine - Jelavic picks up the ball on the edge of the area, but a tame shot fails to test the goalkeeper.
9'
A great bit of pressure from the Toffees in the opening exchanges. Mirallas' cross into the box is blocked by an alert Jonas Olsson. But Everton continue attacking...
7'
PIENAAR! What a header, and an unorthodox one at that. Coleman surges forward on the right, cross into the box is met by a brilliant connection from Pienar, and it loops towards goal, but Foster is equal to it.
6'
Foul on Gareth McAuley by Nikica Jelavic, and it's kicked long from the resulting free-kick by Ben Foster. Good early pace to this game so far.
5'
Looking back at that Rosenborg incident. Sylvain Distin challenged the Swedish striker after a fine ball forward. Distin did seem to clip Rosenborg, but there is no question that that wasn't out of the box.
4'
Nice cut-in from Leighton Baines from the left wing, aiming to find Mirallas. Amid a bit of traffic, Ross Barkley picks up the loose ball but sees his shot cannon off Gareth McAuley.
3'
Good early cross from Graham Dorrans on the left, headed away by Jagielka. Moments later, Rosenborg goes down in the Everton box, and is furious he hasn't won a penalty.
2'
England coach Roy Hodgson is present in the stands here, as is Republic of Ireland coach Giovanni Trapattoni as both coaches oversee progress ahead of World Cup qualifiers in two weeks.
1'
UNDERWAY AT GOODISON PARK! Three minutes past 15:00, but we get started, Everton attacking from right to left.
Good afternoon, and welcome to Goal's live Premier League coverage. Matchday two sees Everton take on West Brom at Goodison Park, with Roberto Martinez making his home bow as Toffees boss. Confirmed team news to come.
It's been an uncertain week for both sides, but Everton will be hoping for a similar performance to the one that saw them secure a 2-2 draw against Norwich last weekend, where they were denied by Ricky van Wolfswinkel's late goal at Carrow Road. Nevertheless, whether the impact from the uncertainty surrounding Fellaini and Baines amidst interest from Man Utd will destabilise the team is another question. The words 'derisory' and 'insulting' come to mind.
Meanwhile, West Brom will be aiming to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat against Southampton last weekend, but will be wary against an Everton side in which they have not beaten away in their last two travels to the North West. Steve Clarke will be without Nicolas Anelka, with the Frenchman on compassionate leave, but not retiring as some reports suggested earlier this week.
A few stats ahead of kick-off. No Everton manager has lost his opening home game in charge since Ian Buchanan in 1956. Furthermore, West Brom have just one win at Goodison in 34 years, a surprising 4-1 victory in November 2010.
TEAM NEWS:One change from West Brom. Markus Rosenborg replaces Anelka, off due to compassionate leave. Anelka, has incidentally, scored against Everton for each of his previous five Premier League clubs. Everton include both Man Utd targets Baines and Fellaini, and it's as expected from Roberto Martinez's men, who have won their last six home games.
Teams are out at Goodison Park, kick-off is imminent!
Half-time at Goodison Park: It's goalless, but the Toffees have been the closest to breaking the deadlock. The hosts have been rather efficient in midfield, with Baines and Barkley impressing in particular. But Mirallas' fine shot on 32 minutes is the closest they've come.
FULL-TIME: In the end, it's a 0-0 draw at Goodison Park, with both sides sharing the spoils. Everton dominated for long periods, but unable to beat a solid WBA defence. They did hit the bar, but frustration for Martinez's side who remain without a win.
