Minute   Description
90' +4 Into the final minute of the game, and it looks like things will stay as they are! Another long ball is arched forward to look for Naismith, but again Ruddy is able to claim it. Everton are getting desperate, their possession game has gone out of the window.
90' +3 V. Anichebe enters the game and replaces R. Barkley.
90' +2 Four minutes of added time, and we're halfway into them. Naismith tries to get on the end of a long ball pumped forward by Distin, but he misjudges the bounce and it rolls through to Ruddy.
90' +1 Norwich are still sitting deep, you'd certainly not guess that they were the home side, but needs must. If their more attacking options were readily available, things might be different, but a point from Everton with their current starting eleven is a great way to start the season.
90' The Canaries' faithful urge their team on, and a clearance from Naismith gives the home side a throw-in in an advanced area. Bennett tries his luck from range, but Distin stands tall to make an important block.
88' COLEMAN! The goalscorer is given plenty of space after being shown onto his weaker left foot, but he tries his luck anyway. Ruddy dives, but the ball whistles just wide of the far post. Van Wolfswinkel is the only Norwich player who is anywhere near the half way line, Hughton's men are definitely hoping to keep things as they are.
86' Martin Olsson enters the game and replaces N. Redmond.
The atmosphere is a little nervous, both sets of supporters have realised how easy it is for their opponents to capitalise on one chance. Norwich have failed to really test Howard all game, yet have two goals to their name. Such clinical finishing must be on the minds of all of the travelling Toffees fans.
85' Play has calmed down a little, with Norwich perhaps hoping to retain a point - it'd certainly be a good one. Hughton can afford to allow his pacey wingers with good engines to be his outlets, while keeping Howson and Johnson rigidly defending if required.
83' Great recovery from Garrido! Naismith looks to burst through on goal, but the Spaniard gets his foot across well to dispossess the Scotland international. Carrow Road gives him a warm congratulatory clap.
81' Martinez looks to shuffle the pack, and introduces Arouna Kone. This extra pace is exactly what Martin doesn't want to face while on a yellow card. I predict that Norwich will keep their defensive line particularly deep now.
