Ciprian Marica bagged a hat-trick as Romania thumped Trinidad and Tobago 4-0 in Tuesday's friendly action.
The result was the perfect response for Romania, who suffered a 4-0 World Cup qualifying defeat to the Netherlands in their last match, in March.
Marica ran his opponents ragged with a terrific display, which saw him saw score twice before half-time.
The 27-year-old – who plays his club football with Schalke – netted after 31 and 33 minutes before a Daneil Cyrus own goal just after the break sealed the result.
There was still time for Marica to notch his third goal though, with his effort nine minutes from time giving Victor Piturca's side a resounding win.
Bulgaria were also victorious, as they won 2-1 in Kazakhstan to extend their unbeaten run to four matches.
Georgi Iliev opened the scoring in the 55th minute and Ivan Ivanov doubled Bulgaria's lead just five minutes later.
Kazakh substitute Dmitriy Shomko pulled a goal back for the losers, but his 89th-minute effort was not enough to prevent a defeat.
