Argentina Primera Division wrap: Lanus new leaders
Lanus moved top of the Argentina Primera Division standings, courtesy of a 0-0 draw with Union Santa Fe on Monday.
Guillermo Barros Schelotto's men are still unbeaten 10 games into the season, after earning a point on their trip to the Estadio 15 de Abril.
It was a third straight stalemate for Santa Fe - who have just one goal to show for in their past four league outings.
They sit 14th in the table on 11 points - well behind pacesetters Lanus on 22 points.
Lanus are level on points with Newell's Old Boys, but have a better goal differential by three.
Tigre ended a four-match losing streak with a 1-0 victory over Argentinos Juniors.
Nestor Gorosito's men were frustrated for the most part against the league's second bottom club, although Juniors' form line read four straight matches unbeaten.
Both sides had a man sent off in the first half, and Leandro Leguizamon was finally able to capitalise on the extra space in the 83rd minute to fire home the winner.
Juniors finished the game with nine men, after defender Anibal Matellan earned a straight red on 90 minutes.
Tigre's win took them to 11th spot on the table with 13 points, while Juniors remain on seven points, three clear of bottom side Estudiantes.
