Minute   Description
90' +5 The ball has not left the Newcastle half in the last 10 minutes and the visitors look easily capable of grabbing a fourth here.
90' +4 And the Italian is still on his feet barking orders to his players. But he is doing it with a smile. With that scoreline, who wouldn't be?
90' +3 No disrespect to Martin O'Neill but did the Black Cats even look like they could play like this under his stewardship? Di Canio seems to have instilled a new energy into this previously struggling side. Their dynamism and incisiveness has been at top levels today. The tactical aspects of their performance have also been spot on.
90' +2 Another astute performer today - Rose - storms down the left-hand side and wins his side a corner. 3-0 up and they are still pushing for more goals. Admirable.
90' There will be SIX minutes of added time here. Perhaps a chance to improve their goal difference - for both sides.
88' Readers, who do you think has been today's man of the match? If it were my pick, it might just go to Stephane Sessegnon. But Simon Mignolet and Phil Bardsley were sensational today too, while Danny Graham and Adam Johnson have all done their part as well. In truth, every Sunderland player has been terrific. Not so for the home team.
87' Gutierrez and Cisse are attempting to get their side back into it but their efforts are in vain. Even a consolation goal seems a long way off for the hosts here.
85' Di Canio, meanwhile, has been celebrating all day in some style. The Black Cats fans are joining him at the moment and this will go down as one of their most historic Tyne-Weird derby wins.
84' Newcastle fans are leaving early.
82' D. Vaughan has scored a goal for Sunderland! Assist by S. Sessègnon.
GOAL! 3-0 SUNDERLAND! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
What a phenomenal strike. After Sunderland's first two goals - you didn't think it could get any better. But it could - and how. Receiving the ball on the left corner of the box, substitute David Vaughan took a touch and curled and absolute stunner past Elliott into the top right corner. Words cannot do justice to what a fantastic performance this has been.
