We've over half of the added minutes and Everton look to have done enough. West Brom are not really threatening the home defence.
90'
There will be a minimum of four minutes added time.
89'
It's been a little bit dull in the past few minutes, but there is a flashpoint as Phil Neville squares up with Jonas Olsson after the latter collided with Fellaini.
86'
West Brom haven't really taken advantage of the momentum they gained following the goal and look to be fading slightly. They need a spark and fast.
84'
N. Jelavić enters the game and replaces V. Anichebe.
83'
It really should be game over, Pienaar collects the ball in the area after great work from Fellaini, the South African somehow manages to hit the post twice before Osman somehow shoots wide from the rebound with the goal gaping.
81'
Everton win a free kick on the left-hand side which Steven Pienaar curls towards the top corner, forcing Ben Foster into a decent diving save.
80'
G. Dorrans gets yellow.
79'
Frustration is growing among the Everton fans, they want their team to kill the game off but the Baggies are refusing to lie down.
77'
M. Rosenberg enters the game and replaces J. Thomas.
Minute
Description
76'
Wasteful from Marouane Fellaini as he skews a shot well wide from the edge of the area when there were players in better positions available.
74'
The frenetic pace of this game has somewhat died down recently but West Brom are still a huge threat on the counter. This one is far from over.
71'
This game has really sprung into life in the last few minutes, Osman involved in the action again as he curls an effort just over the bar after jinking past Brunt, there are still more goals in this game.
70'
Big shout for a penalty from the home fans after Foster appears to fell Osman in the box, however Michael Oliver is not interested and waves play on.
68'
West Brom go so close to levelling matters as Graham Dorrans smacks the crossbar with a curling free kick. Dangerous times for Everton.
66'
D. Gibson enters the game and replaces Kevin Mirallas.
65'
S. Long has scored a goal for West Bromwich Albion!
I said the next goal would be very important and it is West Brom who have it through the substitute Long who nods in to an empty net after Johnny Heitinga failed to clear Lukaku's cross-cum-shot following an excellent through ball from Chris Brunt.
63'
Shane Long has been thrown into the fray by Steve Clarke, he almost sets up Lukaku, but his effort is blocked by Heitinga.
62'
S. Long enters the game and replaces J. Morrison.
61'
C. Yacob gets yellow.
60'
For all their endeavour, the Baggies have created very little in this contest and can have little complaints about their current deficit. They have half an hour to change it.
57'
West Brom are still enjoying the better of the second half in terms of possession, but Everton are creating the better chances and almost add a third as Foster produces a good save to deny Mirallas following ane excellent ball from Pienaar.
54'
Steven Pienaar again links up with Leighton Baines but Everton's star of the evening is flagged for offside.
52'
West Brom do a little bit of pressing at the moment, but Everton look well organised and difficult to break down as a defensive unit.
49'
Much like the beginning of the first half, the start to the second half has been a slow one. Everton will probably feel they need one more goal to kill this one off, but if West Brom find one themselves then the entire complexion of the game will change.
46'
We're underway again at Goodison Park
45' +2
Penalty goal scored by L. Baines for Everton!
The hosts double their lead and it is Leighton Baines once again, the former Wigan man this time netting from the penalty spot after Yacob had felled Anichebe. It's a long way back for West Brom now.
45'
There will be three minutes of added time at the end of the first half.
44'
C. Yacob enters the game and replaces G. Thorne.
43'
The injured Thorne is replaced by Claudio Yacob.
42'
This isn't looking good for the Baggies' midfielder, who is set to be stretchered off.
41'
We have a bit of a break in play here as George Thorne receives treatment for an injury.
38'
The visitors have managed to calm things down in the last few minutes, Everton are still well in control but haven't created anything clear cut since the goal.
35'
David Moyes' men are continuing to make the running at the moment, you suspect West Brom would be more than happy to make it to the interval only trailing by one.
32'
The hosts are dominating proceedings now and are looking to add to their lead. West Brom look a little ragged.
29'
L. Baines has scored a goal for Everton! Assist by L. Osman.
Everton take the lead and it is a bolt from the blue from Leighton Baines, the overlapping left-back collects a pass from Leon Osman before firing a vicious shot into the top corner.
25'
Romelu Lukaku thinks he is through on goal after an intricate move from the visitors but is flagged for offside, it has been kind of night so far.
22'
It's not difficult to see why Everton's last two games have both ended goalless. This has been a very poor game in truth and I cannot foresee an end to the stalemate anytime soon.
19'
Great save from Ben Foster as he does well to deny Marouane Fellaini from close range after the Belgian latched on to Sylvain Distin's flick-on.
16'
West Brom will be very happy with how they have started so far, they have nullified the Everton attacking threat and look comfortable on the ball.
13'
Everton are doing most of the probing at the moment with West Brom content to defend and break quickly on the counter. Unfortunately it's not really making for a fascinating spectacle thus far.
10'
Kevin Mirallas has looked lively in the opening stages, he darts into the box for the second time in a few minutes but his progress is brought to a halt by a good tackle from Jonas Olsson.
8'
First half chance for West Brom as Graham Dorrans' shot is blocked by Sylvain Distin after good work from Romelu Lukaku down the left flank.
6'
A slow start has become a glacial one, business has to pick up soon.
3'
Very slow start at Goodison Park, absolutely nothing to report so far. The two teams are just feeling each other out.
1'
West Brom get us underway!
Good evening and welcome to Goal.com's live coverage of Everton's clash with West Bromwich Albion. I'm Nicholas McGee and I'll be taking you through the action as the Toffees aim to continue their impressive season against Steve Clarke's Baggies.
So just one change for Everton then, as Nikica Jelavic drops to the bench with John Heitinga restored to the starting line-up. For West Brom Jerome Thomas, Goran Popov and George Thorne come in for Peter Odemwingie, Liam Ridgewell and Claudio Yacob.
The two teams emerge from the tunnel, we are almost ready for action.
Referee Michael Oliver signals for half-time and it is Everton who hold a commanding lead thanks to a double from Leighton Baines. 2-0 is perhaps a tad harsh on the visitors but the Toffees have certainly enjoyed the better of the game thus far.
And that's all she wrote, full-time at Goodison Park and it is Everton who take all three points after edging West Brom in a entertaining encounter. The Toffees move one point behind Spurs in fifth while the Baggies stay ninth.
So that's it from me on a good night for anyone of an Everton persuasion, David Moyes' men have enjoyed a fantastic season and still harbour hopes of a place in next season's Champions League. This is Nicholas McGee, signing off!
