The scene is set for Ronaldo to save Madrid. The attacker has won a free-kick 30 yards from Palop's goal, just left of centre...
HE SHOOTS OVER!! Surely that is the last kick of the game?!
The referee lifts the whistle to his lips and Sevilla have done it!
90' +3
Jesus Navas does really well to keep a hold of possession for the home side under pressure from Sergio Ramos. The clock is ticking... One minute left of added time here.
90' +1
Ronaldo breaks down the left for Madrid but his hanging cross is clutched by Palop, who then falls to the ground to use up some time for his side.
90'
Madrid win a corner on the left... The set piece is wasted though, and the ball rolls out for a goal-kick to Sevilla.
89'
YELLOW CARD FOR LUNA! The Sevilla substitute finds his way into the referee's notebook after fouling Pepe on the halfway line.
88'
Antonio Luna gets yellow.
They don't look right in that green strip, and they haven't played like their usual vibrant selves either! Mourinho will be fuming at yet more dropped points if this score remains the same.
87'
Three minutes left on the clock here, Madrid are on the brink of a defeat that would leave them with just four points from four matches.
85'
That just about sums up Madrid's night so far! Higuain races onto a pass on the left but runs it marginally out of play. The referee sees it though, and Sevilla have a throw-in and a chance to wind down the clock.
83'
The midfielder's lofted ball forward does not find a team-mate however, and is gathered by Andres Palop in the Sevilla goal.
82'
G. Kondogbia enters the game and replaces P. Trochowski.
Madrid win a free-kick on the left, and Alonso lines the set piece up once again.
Minute
Description
80'
RONALDO WANTS A PENALTY THERE!! The Madrid man goes flying to the deck under a challenge from Navarro but the referee is having absolutely none of it, and waves play on.
79'
Benzema attacks down the left for Madrid and has a chance to curl a cross into the area, but instead opts to shoot from distance. His curling effort it straight into the arms of Palop though, who collects the ball gleefully.
77'
Lovely interplay between Cicinho and Navas for Sevilla! The Brazilian full-back gets the wrong side of Marcelo once again, but his eventual cross is straight to the feet of Pepe inside the Madrid area.
76'
Sevilla are content to pass the ball around between their midfield and defence, as Madrid appear to be running out of ideas as this second half wears on.
74'
The set piece is easily headed away by Ramos though, and Madrid immediately work the ball down the right through Khedira.
73'
The Sevilla fans are on their feet applauding Ronaldo sarcastically, after the Madrid man pushes Cicinho to the ground in an attacking position. Free-kick to the home side!
71'
Antonio Luna enters the game and replaces Álvaro Negredo.
Luna has an early chance to cross the ball into the Madrid box from the left, but his effort is blocked by Pepe.
70'
SEVILLA SUBSTITUTION: Off goes Negredo, and on comes the defender Antonio Luna.
69'
Benzema, Callejon and Modric work the ball nicely on the edge of the Sevilla box but cannot create a clearcut chance. Navarro eventually dispossesses the overlapping Khedira, who has slotted in at right-back, and Sevilla look to counter once more.
68'
Sevilla counter through Negredo and Navas, with the former coming close to latching on to the latter's return pass inside the Madrid box. This is end-to-end stuff!
66'
Madrid make their final change of the evening, Jose Callejon replacing Alvaro Arbeloa.
65'
José Callejón enters the game and replaces Arbeloa.
You might have thought the home side might defend their lead, but if anything they are trying to increase it here! Navas carves out a goalscoring chance, cutting in from the right and curling a left foot shot over Casillas' crossbar.
63'
Sevilla have made a change here, with Manu del Moral replacing Ivan Rakitic. That's quite an attacking change from the coach Michel, which comes as quite a surprise considering the scoreline, and their opponents!
61'
Manu del Moral enters the game and replaces I. Rakitić.
Replays show that Botia was wrestling with Ronaldo as that set piece was taken, and from the looks of it that could well have been a penalty for the visitors!
60'
... curl it he does, straight to Pepe at the back post. The defender controls the ball and volleys it back across goal to his defensive partner Sergio Ramos, but he can only head onto the crossbar despite being right underneath it!
59'
Khedira wins a free-kick for Madrid on the left, and Xabi Alonso looks set to curl this one into the penalty area...
58'
Sevilla look set to make a change here, and at this point in the game, defending their lead, fresh legs will be needed!
57'
Navarro's cross from the left is long, but Navas sprints to keep it in play before crossing towards Negredo. Just as the striker jumps to meet the ball, Casillas appears from nowhere to catch the ball, and put an end to the Sevilla attack.
56'
Sevilla have done well in the last few minutes to get a hold of the ball and put a stop to an extended period of Madrid possession.
54'
Sevilla should really have extended their lead there through Negredo! They could come to regret that, as Madrid start to exert their influence on the game, particularly in midfield.
53'
NEGREDO HAS GOT TO DO BETTER THERE!! The ball runs through to the Sevilla attacker on the right but his shot goes harmlessly wide of Casillas' right-hand post. He had time and space to test the Madrid goalkeeper there, but made a poor connection with the ball.
51'
MODRIC HITS THE POST!! The Croatian midfielder comes within inches of scoring his first goal for the champions. Palop makes a fine save from the substitutes driven effort from distance, palming the shot onto his right-hand post.
49'
Hang on a sec, Modric isn't the only change for Madrid, Karim Benzema has come on too, for Mesut Ozil. Apologies for that guys!
BRILLIANT PLAY FROM NAVAS!! The diminutive speedster races down the right before curling an enticing ball towards Negredo, and but for a flying clearance from Pepe, the Spain international would have been in on goal!
48'
Cicinho goes charging down the right for Sevilla for not the first time tonight, but is stopped abruptly by some fairly robust defending from Sergio Ramos, who shepherds the ball out of a play for a Madrid goal-kick.
47'
There's one half-time substitute to tell you about for Madrid, Luka Modric. The recent signing from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur is on for Angel Di Maria.
46'
L. Modrić enters the game and replaces Á. Di María.
K. Benzema enters the game and replaces M. Özil.
The teams are out for the second half here at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, and Madrid are about to get us underway...
45'
This first half is ending just as it started... explosively! And the atmosphere inside the stadium matches what is going on on the pitch. It is like a cauldron!
The referee blows his whistle to mark the end of the half. Advantage to Sevilla.
44'
I. Rakitić gets yellow.
The referee Alberto Undiano Mallenco eventually decides it was a foul, and awards Madrid a free-kick, and shows Rakitic a yellow card.
43'
Yet more handbags at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan! This time Di Maria goes down under a heavy challenge from Rakitic, and immediately nearly every player on the pitch surrounds the referee as he decides what to do.
41'
Mourinho and Pepe are both furious about that booking, and rightly so, it was pretty theatrical stuff from the former Madrid canterano!
40'
Pepe gets yellow.
AN UNFORTUNATE BOOKING FROM PEPE!! Seriously, I mean it! Alvaro Negredo looks to run across the Madrid defender, but goes down clutching his face after connecting with one of his outstretched arms. There wasn't much in it, but the striker's reaction leads the referee to show the defender a yellow card.
39'
SAVE FROM PALOP!! Ronaldo drives into the area on the left for Madrid before smashing a shot towards the Sevilla goal. Palop is alert at his near post though, and can push the ball away from danger.
38'
Navarro does well down the left to get past the challenge of the Madrid full-back Alvaro Arbeloa, and then dig out a cross to Negredo. Casillas comes off his line to claim the ball in front of the attacker, as Madrid continue to look shaky at the back.
36'
Mourinho doesn't look too impressed down in the Madrid dugout at present, and is remonstrating with the fourth official at every opportunity.
34'
Rakitic curls the corner to the goalscorer Trochowski, but his effort this time lacks the velocity of his first strike, and is caught comfortably by Casillas in the Madrid goal.
33'
Navas is finding all sorts of joy down the right in this first half. He powers past Ramos on this occasion, before lifting a cross towards Negredo who is waiting inside the area for the pass. Pepe manages to get in the way of the cross though, and deflect it out for a corner.
32'
The home side win a free-kick on the right that is taken by Rakitic, and eventually finds its way to Navas. His speculative effort does not trouble Casillas though, and Madrid have a goal-kick.
30'
CRUCIAL BLOCK FROM PEPE!! The Madrid centre-back sticks out a leg to intercept Navas' intended pass for Negredo as Sevilla continue to threaten going forward.
29'
Ronaldo appears to have been penalised simply for being too strong on the right, as two Sevilla defenders throw themselves into tackles and bounce off the attacker. Fortunately for them, the referee believes the Madrid man has committed a foul, and gifts them a free-kick.
28'
Á. Di María gets yellow.
That's an ugly challenge from Di Maria! The winger goes through the back of Negredo as the striker looks to drive towards the Madrid goal, and gets nowhere the ball. Sevilla are correctly awarded a free-kick, and Di Maria is shown a yellow card for his troubles.
27'
An awful pass out of defence from Sergio Ramos goes straight to Rakitic 40 yards from goal, but the Croatia international fails to take advantage and is quickly tackled by Sami Khedira.
26'
Sevilla are working hard to close Madrid's players down and afford them little time on the ball, as Jose Mourinho's men start to push forward with more regularity in this first half.
24'
... the attacker's effort is straight into the wall though. He got right behind that one, whoever that hit it must have hurt!
23'
FREE-KICK TO MADRID! Gary Medel hauls Ronaldo to the deck on the left-hand side, and the referee rightly awards a free-kick to the away side. Another chance for Ronaldo to test Palop...
22'
Jesus Navas fashions a shooting opportunity for Sevilla after ghosting past the challenge of Pepe on the right, but his attempt is straight at Iker Casillas and is easily gathered by the Madrid stopper.
21'
HIGUAIN SHOOTS WIDE!! Mesut Ozil is beginning to dictate proceedings in midfield, and he very nearly forces a breakthrough for Madrid, cutting inside and playing a pass straight into the stride of his team-mate on the edge of the Sevilla box. Higuain gets the shot all wrong though, and fires wide of goal.
19'
Swasbuckling stuff from Sevilla's full-back Cicinho!! The recent arrival storms down the right before smashing an effort at goal from the right-hand side of the penalty area but Casillas is an equal match to it, and parries the ball away from danger.
18'
Some intricate interplay by Madrid's attacking quartet fashions another chance, with Di Maria the provider on this occasion. The Argentine lofts a pass from the right towards Higuain but Botia does well to get in front of the striker and head the ball away.
17'
CHANCE FOR MADRID!! Marcelo curls a delicious ball onto the head of Higuain who is lurking by the penalty spot, but his headed effort drifts harmlessly wide of Palop's goal.
16'
The stadium is shaking at the moment, as Los Rojiblancos' fans get fully behind their team following that early Trochowski goal.
15'
Arbeloa pushes Negredo in the back on the half-way line, which leads to a free-kick for Sevilla, and a chance for the home side to catch their breath after a frenetic opening 15 minutes.
13'
Angel Di Maria drifts over to the right for Madrid and immediately starts to cause some mischief, switching the play brilliantly with a driven pass to Marcelo, who is attacking in the space Di Maria had previously occupied on the left. Sevilla's Rakitic is across well to snuff out the danger though, and dispossesses the Brazilian.
11'
ANOTHER GOOD SAVE FROM PALOP!! The Sevilla goalkeeper is called into action straight after that stop, and again does well to stop Ronaldo, as the Portugal international hammers an effort at goal from 35 yards out on the left.
10'
RONALDO FIRES IT GOALWARDS... But that's a decent save from Andres Palop to tip the ball away to safety. Fine goalkeeping!
9'
The Sevilla centre-half Alberto Botia catches Cristiano Ronaldo 30 yards from goal, just right of centre, and Madrid have a golden chance here.
8'
Seconds later, a timely interception from Alvaro Arbeloa for Madrid stops the ball from running through to an unmarked Trochowski at the back post as Sevilla continue to commit men forward.
7'
Some neat defending from Ramos stops Negredo in his tracks as Sevilla go in search of a second!
6'
G. Higuaín gets yellow.
Fernando Navarro gets yellow.
It's been a warm day in Spain today, and the temperature appears to have been transferred to the pitch, with both teams flying into challenges in the opening exchanges.
5'
Ozil curls the set piece towards Pepe at the back post, but the ball evades the Portugal international and runs out for a goal-kick to the home side.
4'
There are handbags here in Seville! Higuain kicks Sevilla's Fernando Navarro, while Hedwiges Maduro goes in very late on Mesut Ozil. Somehow Higuain gets the free-kick, and Madrid will look to work this into a dangerous area from the right-hand side, 40 yards from goal.
3'
What a start for the home side!!
2'
P. Trochowski has scored a goal for Sevilla! Assist by I. Rakitić.
CHANCE FOR SEVILLA!!! Madrid fail to deal with the long ball, and it goes out for a throw. The set piece finds it way to Negredo, but Casillas is out quickly to block the striker's effort out for a corner.
GOALLLLL!!! SEVILLA TAKE THE LEAD!! Madrid's marking is all over the shop from the corner, and Piotr Trochowski can easily sweep home the opening goal on the volley from the penalty spot, after Ivan Rakitic had curled the ball in from the right-hand side.
1'
Sevilla start the match, and quickly look to release Alvaro Negredo with a hopeful long ball forward.
Good evening and welcome to Goal.com's LIVE coverage of what promises to be an exciting La Liga clash between Sevilla and Real Madrid at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.
My name is Charlie Scott and I will be responsible for bringing you vibrant and potentially entertaining updates on the match tonight as it unfolds.
Let's get one thing straight first of all... I am expecting goals. I don't know about you lot, but having seen Madrid's last two visits to Sevilla, I would be surprised if this one finished goalless. Remarkably, Los Blancos' last two matches here have been 6-2 victories, with Mr. Unhappy, Cristiano Ronaldo notching seven of Madrid's 12 goals in those games. Pretty impressive stuff!
Without further ado, here are the two side's startings XIs:
Madrid have made a poor start to the Liga season as they look to retain the title they won last season, and currently sit in 10th place in the league, with just four points from three matches. They will be looking to get their title bid back on track this evening, and will be confident of getting a positive result having won their lasts even matches in all competitions against Sevilla.
Their manager Jose Mourinho has chosen to start Gonzalo HIguain upfront tonight, with Karim Benzema relegated to the bench, where he will sit alongside new signings Luka Modric and Michael Essien, the latter of whom could make his debut this evening.
Sevilla, meanwhile, make one change from the side that drew against Rayo Vallecano on September 2, with Hedwiges Maduro replacing Manu del Moral.
NEWS JUST IN: Barcelona have just beaten Getafe 4-1, which means they now occupy first place in La Liga. Lionel Messi came on in the second half and scored twice for the Catalan side.
By the way, Madrid are showcasing the new third kit this evening, and it is... GREEN! That surprised me too, to be honest. They have played in green once before though, in a friendly against River Plate in 1965, following a clash of kit colours.
The teams are out here at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan, and we are moments from getting underway...
Real Madrid (4-2-3-1): Casillas; Arbeloa, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo; Khedira, Xabi Alonso; Cristiano Ronaldo, Ozil, Di Maria; Higuain
HALF-TIME: SEVILLA 1-0 REAL MADRID The home side stormed into an early lead against the reigning champions courtesy of Piotr Trochowski in the second minute, and Mourinho's men have not been able to get back into the game. Join me in 10 minutes for the second half of this highly-charged match!
FULL-TIME: SEVILLA 1-0 REAL MADRID Piotr Trochowski's second minute strike separated the side's this evening, as Madrid suffered their second defeat of the Liga season. Mourinho's men have just four points from four matches now, and are eight points adrift of Tito Vilanova's Barcelona. A fantastic performance from Sevilla secured all three points at the Roman Sanchez Pizjuan this evening. Thanks for joining me for Goal.com's LIVE commentary of this pulsating clash! Good night!
