Chinese Super League wrap: Guangzhou giants dominate
Guangzhou R&F moved to second after a 2-1 win over Henan Jianye in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.
R&F atoned for two losses in their past three matches with two goals inside the first half from Rafael Coelho (23 minutes) and Davi (44).
Bi Jinhao pulled a goal back for Henan in the second half but the struggling visitors could not recover the deficit as R&F moved to within one point of leaders Guangzhou Evergrande.
Dalian Aerbin moved off the foot of the table and consigned Qingdao Jonoon to rock bottom with a 3-1 win in the day's other match.
Nigerian Peter Utaka scored a brace to reach four for the season to help Dalian come from a goal down to claim the three points.
Liu Jian got Qingdao off to a flying start with his seventh minute strike but Utaka netted either side of Yu Dabao's goal, including the sealer in the 85th minute, to clinch the win.
