Celtic defeated St Johnstone 1-0 in the Scottish Premier League on Thursday.

The already crowned champions extended their lead at the top of the league to a whopping 21 points with the triumph.

Irish forward Anthony Stokes scored the only goal of the game after 29 minutes.

The strike was Stokes' 21st of the season in all competitions and the fifth-placed St Johnstone were unable to produce a response.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon took the opportunity to give Nigerian Rabiu Ibrahim – signed in January on a free transfer from PSV Eindhoven – his debut in the final stages.
