Wolfsburg can clinch a spot in the Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday when they pay a visit to CSKA Moscow in Group B.
Wolfsburg look to join already-qualified Manchester United in the knockout rounds, but they come into the game on a sour note after a stunning 3-2 home defeat by Nürnberg at the weekend, in which they conceded a goal three minutes into added time.
CSKA beat Spartak Moscow 3-2 over the weekend to ensure a top five finish, and aid Rubin Kazan in their quest for the title. They still have hopes for making the last 16, but badly need a win to go level on points with the Germans.
The Russians are without suspended Lithuanian striker Deividas Semberas for the crucial game, and Guilherme is expected to miss out along with Mark Gonzalez.
Wolfsburg manager Armin Veh has said he will not include Jonathan Santana, and Grafite misses out due to suspension after being sent off in the last game.
CSKA have played much better than a side with just four points from four games. Wolfsburg are coming in off a bad game, but they have arguably played their best football in the Champions League. Look for a low-scoring affair that could end with split points.
