Eintracht Frankfurt vs. VfL Bochum

Frankfurt went in front on their home pitch in the 14th minute when Caio hit a brilliant free kick beyond Bochum goalkeeper Philipp Heerwagen. That lead, though, would only last for another 11 minutes.

It could have been three early on had Nikos Lyberopoulos not hit the goal frame twice, and those misses were crucial in the 25th minute when Maik Franz inadvertently turned a Joel Epalle cross into his own net to make it 1-1.

Franz was given a chance at redemption in the 53rd minute, and he cashed in with a pinpoint head to give Frankfurt a 2-1 lead.

Matters were made worse for Bochum with 10 minutes left when Japanese midfielder Shinji Ono picked up his second booking in less than a minute, leaving his side with 10 men to finish.
