Parma vs. Cagliari

Jeda got them off to the perfect start with his seventh-minute goal and Daniele Dessena doubled his side's advantage shortly before the hour mark.

It is a fantastic result for Cagliari, who before Wednesday's victory over Bari had lost all of their opening four fixtures and they have now moved into midtable.

Cagliari were in control from the off and went in front with less than seven minutes albeit in somewhat controversial circumstances. The Parma players were up in arms when Jonathan Biabiany appeared to have been fouled by Alessandro Agostini in the area, but the referee waved play on. Jeda raced downfield on the counter attack before slipping the ball to Andrea Cossu, who crossed it back to the Brazilian moments later to score his third goal of the season.

It was more of the same after the break as time and time again Parma found themselves halted by the Cagliari back four.

And worse was to come for the hosts who soon found themselves two goals down. Dessena escaped his marker Blerim Dzemaili in the area and fired the ball past Antonio Mirante.

The visitors took control of the game through the second half and held on to the 2 goals win.
