Racing Santander vs. Barcelona

After sustained pressure in the opening phase, Zlatan Ibrahimovic put Barcelona in front on 20 minutes when he headed home at the far post after Messi's cross. He nearly made it 2-0 seconds later when he slid a shot beneath goalkeeper Toño, only to see it slam off that same back post.

But the second goal would come in the 24th minute when Messi dribbled through a couple of defenders at the top of the area and dispatched a wonderful shot past Toño.

The barrage continued three minutes later when defender Gerard Piqué was free in the area to tap home with ease after Ibrahimovic hit a cheeky backheel pass to the Spaniard with three defenders surrounding him.

Barcelona then made it 4-0 in the 63rd minute, Messi scoring in style as he took the ball from the right touchline to the center of the pitch 20 yards out before curling a shot inside Toño's right-hand post.

Santander would pull a goal back in the 72nd minute, and it was the best of the goals scored in the match. Óscar Serrano played the ball forward through the legs of Rafael Márquez before unleashing a powerful 20-yard drive that beat Víctor Valdés at the top corner of the near post.
