Sochaux vs. Valenciennes

They twice recovered from a goal down to storm back for victory, condemning Sochaux to a second consecutive defeat after they lost to Lille last time out. The hosts' miserable evening was completed eight minutes from time by the dismissal of Vaclav Sverkos.

Sochaux took a third-minute lead when Jeremie Brechet volleyed home after Valenciennes goalkeeper punched the ball away from a Jacques Faty corner. The visitors drew level midway through the first half after a good run and shot from Carlos Sanchez.

In the 41st minute , Sochaux were back in front through an expertly-taken free-kick from Ryad Boudebouz.

Valenciennes were back on terms for a second time five minutes into the second period when Johan Audel broke down the left and crossed to the far post where Gregory Pujol volleyed home past Teddy Richert.

Valenciennes were in front for the first time in the game when Pujol crossed from the right and Audel fired home through Richert's legs. Valenciennes added a fourth with 13 minutes to go when substitute Fahid Ben Khalfallah directed the ball past Richert with the aid of the post.

Sochaux were reduced to 10 men with eight minutes left when Sverkos was dismissed for a reckless tackle on Remi Gomis.

The fifth goal was scored by Valenciennes with five minutes to go as Audel again centred from the left for the unmarked Pujol to head his second past a helpless Richert.
