FC Utrecht remain near the top of the Dutch Eredivisie, following a 2-0 win over Sparta Rotterdam on Saturday. Both goals were scored in the second half.
No goals were scored in the first hour at Galgenwaard stadium, but Utrecht finally broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute. Jacob Lensky wrestled his way through Sparta's defense and beat the keeper for 1-0.
The second goal came on 82 minutes. Emmanuel Boakye fouled Jacob Mulenga in the area and Gregoor van Dijk made no mistake from the spot.
Utrecht are currently in shared second place, while Sparta are only three spots away from the bottom.
