Chelsea moved to the top of the Premier League with a fluid destruction of new boys Burnley at Stamford Bridge.
Nicolas Anelka, Michael Ballack and Ashley Cole got the goals in a seven-minute purple patch either side of the half-time as Carlo Ancelotti's Blues maintained their perfect start to the season.
The Clarets started well . Martin Paterson in particular should have put them ahead, but instead fired wide after being superbly played in by Tyrone Mears.
They looked set to go in level at the break, but their hopes took a massive nosedive on the stroke of half-time. Didier Drogba got free down the right and crossed low for Anelka to slide in and poke home the opener.
After the break it was no looking back for the Blues. Within 2 minutes of restart Nicolas Anelka carved out the opportunity for Frank Lampard to cross to the back post, and Ballack stooped to head past Brian Jensen for 2-0.
Five minutes later the points were safe for Chelsea as they scored a third courtesy of Ashley Cole.
