Ajax Amsterdam failed to score a single goal against Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday, being held to a highly disappointing 0-0 draw.
It wasn't a lack of opportunities that cost Ajax two valuable points at the Amsterdam Arena, as Martin Jol's men had an enormous amount of chances to break the deadlock.
But the performance of Sparta goalkeeper Aleksander Seliga kept the home side from actually making a difference. Sparta didn't do much themselves to threaten their opponents, with just one opportunity against the 41 of Ajax.
After having won their first two games, Ajax only earned one point from the next two. This leaves the Amsterdam outfit in sixth position.
