A single goal in the second half was enough for Heracles Almelo to secure three points at Willem II in Saturday's Eredivisie action.
Willem II never managed to compete with Heracles in the first half. The only reason why Heracles didn't take the lead in the first half, was the performance of Willem II goalkeeper Maikel Aerts who made several saves to keep his team alive.
But even Aerts could not avoid the opening goal six minutes after the hour, exactly at the moment that Willem II began to do better and Junior Livramento had even hit the post for the home side.
The winning goal came from Bas Dost, who beat an opponent in the air and then put the ball past the keeper for what turned out to be the only goal. Willem II did try to equalise, but Heracles held on to their lead.
