Chelsea trounced a hapless Sunderland by winning convincingly 3-1 away at the Stadium of Light to go to the top of the Premier League.
It means that Carlo Ancelotti has picked up his first Premier League away win as Chelsea were once again made to come from behind to claim the victory.
Despite dominating the first half, the visitors went in at the break trailing to Darren Bent's second goal in as many games for Sunderland.
But German international Michael Ballack fired them back on level terms within seven minutes of the restart, and Chelsea weren't giving second thoguhts as they forced themselves back into the tie.
Frank Lampard handed them the lead from the penalty spot nine minutes later and Deco completed the proceedings by his 70th-minute strike inflicting a defeat to the Black Cats.
