Sparta Rotterdam collected their first three points of the season, somewhat surprisingly beating Willem II 2-1 thanks to a strong second-half performance.
The first half showed an offensive Sparta but it was the away side to take the lead after 15 minutes when Bart Biemans headed home from a Jasper Waalkens free kick.
Sparta deservedly equalised on the hour however. Kevin Strootman received the ball from Duplan and pushed it past keeper Aerts for 1-1.
And the winning goal came another five minutes later when Nathan Rutjes' through-ball enabled Rydell Poepon to advance on goal with only the keeper to beat. The Sparta-player made no mistakes and netted for 2-1.
