Hoffenheim vs. Bayern München

Josip Simunic looked to have headed the ball over the line 10 minutes into his Hoffenheim debut, but the goal was not given, and Vedad Ibisevic headed just wide as Hoffenheim dominated the early stages of the match.

But Bayern made the home side pay for missing chances as Ivica Olic scored on his team debut in the 25th minute after he slotted home a nice cross from the left by Danijel Pranjic. Hoffenheim, though, leveled in the 41st minute when Ibisevic laid a long pass back to center for Chinedu Obasi to slam past Michael Rensing from over 20 yards.

The sides traded possession and half chances in the second half, but a draw was a fair result in the end, and both sides will look forward to next weekend when Bayern plays host to Werder Bremen and Hoffenheim travel to Bayer Leverkusen.
