NAC Breda began their Dutch 2009-10 campaign with a valuable 1-2 victory at ADO Den Haag. A late comeback from the home side wasn't enough to deal with the visitors.
The opening goal came after 42 minutes. Tim Gilissen found the experienced Anthony Lurling, who then pushed the ball past keeper Gino Coutinho for 0-1.
A shot from Matthew Amoah then doubled NAC's lead six minutes after the hour.
ADO did create a number of chances, including a ball on the crossbar, and eventually converted one. Csaba Horvath scored with 15 minutes to go, but the amount of time left wasn't enough for ADO to find another.
