Hull City have a good chance of finishing this week in the relegation zone following a 1-2 home defeat by Stoke City. The Tigers remain in 17th place but could well be surpassed on Monday.
Ricardo Fuller put Stoke ahead in the 40th minute, firing home after a Liam Lawrence corner kick.
Lawrence went on to score the second goal himself with a shot from just outside the penalty area. The assist went to Ricardo Fuller, as the two exchanged favors.
Andy Dawson got Hull a consolation goal in the 94th minute but as far as the final result was concerned, it was of little importance.
Hull may have deserved more as the home side actually had more opportunities, but weren't effective enough in front of the goal.
