A draw with Tottenham Hotspur was enough for Everton to secure their sixth place in the Premier League, while Spurs climb up to eighth place and are only one spot away from European football.
Not much entertainment was on offer in this game, as neither side really managed to make a difference. Jo and Gareth Bale came close in the first half but other than that there was little to be excited about.
Everton almost scored in the second half but Dan Gosling saw his effort bounce off the woodwork in the 68th minute.
There was one highlight to celebrate though, as Tim Howard broke Everton's club record with his 16th clean sheet this season.
